I recently got laid off in the March bloodbath, and amazingly found another job fairly soon after. My first (a-hole) company had just approved my work from Ireland request, so I assumed this new one would too. NOPE!!!!! I have tickets for me and my two kids (and their S.O.s) and even (bullshit) paperwork for my dog to come spend the summer in Ireland, where I bought a (cheap) house because I can no longer afford to live in (fucking) New York. Despite my answering their HR concerns, they just randomly denied my request. So I looked into ways to say FUCK THE MAN and do it anyway and private VPN seems to be the only way to hide my actual ISP and get away with two months of stealth-working from abroad: does anyone have any advice or thoughts on this?
