The tl;dr: He was not convicted for posting memes. He was convicted for deliberately conspiring to deprive people of their right to vote. The DOJ said nearly 5000 people texted the number. Yes there was no evidence presented that anyone actually didn't vote because of it, but attempted murder is still a crime. They did explicitly try to deprive people of their right to vote.

It does appear they waited until after Biden's innaguration, but if that concerns you I think it's worth thinking one level deeper. Why would they feel the need to wait? Did they fear that maybe their case would be interfered with by higher-ups at the DOJ?
I do love how bad things the DOJ does under Trump are the work of the Deep State but everything that happens under Biden, is directed directly by Joe Biden himself.

Good point! Except the point wasn’t that potential hilary voters would see it from his account. They knew that other people would take it from them and spread it.

This was more than just them making memes and making like hilarious parodies, you know, it was something that they went so far as to make their own text voting hotline to convince these people that they could vote by text.

If you look around twitter you'll see people pointing out things like this tweet by Kristina Wong. Why hasn't she been arrested? Maybe because memes aren't actually illegal and they don't have the same amount of evidence of a conspiracy that they did for Mackey? Hopefully after all the above you kinda get the idea of the difference in what Mackey was involved in and how it's different from a normal shitpost.
If this really was an instance of being convicted for memes then this really would be concerning, but fortunately the justice system is working as intended and they needed much more than that. He was ultimately conviccted by a jury of his peers ("Ultimately, white men made up one-third of the jury, and no Black people served" ) and he'll be appealing for sure. I didn't even talk about star witness MicroChip. Just a sampling of his testimony is pretty shocking.

Andrew Tate was just arrested in Romania for human trafficking and rape. If you don't know who Andrew Tate is, lucky you! He's an American-born, British-raised former kickboxer who became a social media influencer whose entire personality is based around misogyny, and because he's on TikTok, he's become VERY popular with young/teen boys. He's a cancer for Gen Z. He has been kicked off twitter for saying that women bear some responsibility for their own rapes (Elon has brought him back though), says women should not work outside of the home, etc. He was on the UK version of Big Brother in 2016 where he spouted all kinds of racism & homophobia until he was kicked off by producers after 6 days because a video came out of him BEATING A WOMAN WITH A BELT.
The other day he was trending because of a dumbass twitter post aimed at Greta Thunberg, where he bragged about his "33 cars" and their emissions. Greta totally burned him with her response and made him look like the dumbass that he is, so he posted a lame video response which showed a pizza box from a Romanian pizza restaurant, which let Romanian authorities know he was still in the country so they just went and arrested him. He previously told his followers that 40% of the reason he was going to Romania was because they were unlikely to charge him with sexual assault. Him and his brother were running some kind of scam where they forced women to perform pornography so they could then sell the clips on the internet ("OnlyFans" was mentioned). Thus the rape and human trafficking charges--I think there might be a kidnapping charge too. So far 6 women have come forward but authorities believe there are WAY MORE victims out there.
So why am I posting this to this sub? Because ALL FOUR OF JESSICA'S SONS FOLLOW ANDREW TATE ON TIKTOK, INCLUDING THE YOUNGEST!!!! Not saying they're future rapists but they're being trained by one and eating it all up, so SAN CLEMENTE, PROTECT YOUR DAUGHTERS!!!!!!
