My wife went and falsely accused me of child abuse, and to top it off, she took off with our kids, aged 9 and 7. Can you imagine the audacity? But here's the kicker—I found out from not just one, but two of her close friends that she's actually a lesbian and has been dating another woman for the past two years. It seems like she used this accusation as an excuse to bail on our marriage.
Thankfully, her friends are on our side and assured me and my in-laws that they'll help us out if we need it. We're all still in shock, man. This bombshell came out of nowhere, and it feels like a punch to the gut.
Oh, the so-called "abuse" she's accusing me of is when I raised my voice at my son in front of my in-laws. They were overstaying their welcome, and it was way past the kids' bedtime. I was stressed out because just last month, she lost over $90,000 in a damn ponzi scheme scam without even telling me. That money was supposed to be our down payment for a new house.
My in-laws are totally on my side as well after all this revelation.
Man, it's one big punch to the gut after another.
Just venting out my frustrations. If any lawyers in here can suggest tips, i'd appreciate it.

Im currently in my final year (dental surgery). I did not pick this course with a passion for it. Im not driven by the norms of leading a normal life. Finishing a degree securing a job and settling in life. I just can't view life that way.
Im someone who expects to not regret most part of my day to day life but this university Im in, and my non existent social life for the past 6 years has been driving me insane.
I've got lovely parents, very supportive. Im pretty sure they're disappointed in me. It is not normal for people to take a break in my country to give them a chance at improving mental health.
I have been pushing myself against all odds for the last 4 years and I just dont have any ounce of strength left to push in the last 4 months.
The usual advice of a) suck it up you've suffered for 4 years please complete the course or b) pull yourself together and finish it for your parents who have been nothing but only sweet to you.
Those two advices are pretty common but Im not budged by it. Taking a break makes me feel so much better. If I drop out, freeing myself from being associated with that university I'll have energy to work even two part times jobs and fund my tuition fee for a course that I'll start from scratch ( I want to be a middle school science teacher / professional gamer / research scholar in molecular biology). Something that will make me use my brain with a burniny passion and not for the obvious benefits.
It fills me with energy just by thinking that I dont have to go to the place anymore.

i own a popular app that is on TOP 10 in Playstore
many ads companies reached out to me to implement their ads. By using bidding and waterfall that is supported by Admob. Some ad companies are not directly supported by Google but it can still be implemented by using Admob Waterfall Custom Event.
but there are some case when, the company can't mediate through Admob. NETLINK for example, But they support Google Ad Manager though. They explained to me how to but i am so stupid that i still can't understand.
can i implement Admob SDK and GAM SDK in the same project ?
Do i need to write some code again for GAM ?
but how about the ads ? In the MainActivity for example, the ads appear from Admob or GAM ?
or i have to set specific Activity to use Admob, and other Activity to show GAM ads ?
I have a lot of questions but just can't express it in English language, sorry.

I’m wondering for those that use drones professionally, is the MINI 3 worth the jump to 4K and HDR?

So I (24f) work overnights at a hotel. Mostly my job consists of sitting at the desk and scrolling reddit until I start paperwork and breakfast. Important to note, my shift ends at 7am. As I type this its 7:20am.
We have this one girl who works mornings, and I can't stand her. Without fail everytime she is my relief, I am at work typically 40 minutes to an hour past 7am. She's lazy and just doesn't care about anyone else's time or the fact that I've been at work since 11pm. Her typical excuse is that she can't drop her kid off at school until 7:30, which is totally understandable. Except for the fact that its summer, and her kid goes to a program that has drop off starting at 6:45am. So where is she for that extra hour? No clue, but she always shows up with coffee and breakfast.
Now normally when I make breakfast, I'm very organized and clean. I wash dishes as I go, wipe up any mess I make, prep trays of extra breakfast to throw in the oven as needed. I try to make life as easy as possible for the next shift. But this girl? Oh no, sweetie, you can guarantee that that kitchen looks like a tornado blew through it. I'm using a new spoon everytime, leaving messes where they fall, and you can bet your ass I'm not soaking those nasty egg pans.
You want to make me late going home? Enjoy spending most of your shift scraping dried gravy and pancake batter off every surface in that kitchen. And don't forget to make a new batch of everything because ain't no way in hell I'm even trying up biscuits for you.
TL;DR Coworker shows up 40 minutes late, gets to spend most of her shift cleaning up the breakfast mess.
And btw, its now 7:30am, no sign of her.

Anyone dealing with DB due to ED? My husband and I have been married for 20 years. Our two kids are teenagers. I love my family, and I can't imagine life without him.
He used to be HL and always asking and innitiating. If anything his HL was the problem for us.
His issues with ED started due to an underlying health condition. It started on and off 3-4 years ago. He doesn't talk about it, and when I sum up the currage to talk to him he denys and shuts me down.
Our sex days have become very rare to none. I totally get that this can be devestating for a man.
My issue is that he wont allow for us to talk about it. He is completly shutting down emotionally towards me. He keeps distancing himself from me.
I don't have an issue with not having sex. Or doing other things physically. I have an issue with how he is dealing with it. I really don't like how he is dealing with it. He is dissmissing that it is an issue for both of us to deal with not just for him. He is abandoning me emotionally all together. He acts as if we are roomates!
He sometimes tries to claim that perhaps he is not finding me attractive any more, sometimes he says we should get a divorce.
(I have a good self-esteam, the things he says don't effect me at all. It is too obviouse to me that he is trying to distract me from the real problem).
I feel the way he is dealing with it is very immature. Regardless I do want to support him I want him to feel safe and ok with what is happening. I want to make room for an emotionl bond to exsist.
Emotional connection is VERY important to me.
So my question is for men and women here: What should I do to make him feel safe about it? Even if we don't talk about it, I still want him to understand that our relationship is NOT over. There is a lot more to marriage and relationship then sex.
( Please don't suggest divorce, or therapy, I am looking for helpful personal opinions).

The people said, "Who is that?" "Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, "Do you see? If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this mountain, will you believe me?" They said, "We have never heard you telling a lie." Then he said, "I am a plain warner to you of a coming severe punishment." Abu Lahab said, "May you perish! You gathered us only for this reason? " Then Abu Lahab went away. So the "Surat:--ul--LAHAB" 'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!' (111.1) was revealed.

The narrator here is Ibn Abbas, and it has no corroborating chains. Now this guy wasn't even born when the event happened, which means he got the story from someone else. The only problem is that Ibn Abbas doesn't mention who he got the story from. This means that the story could have been circulating for who knows how long, and transmitted through several people before it reached Ibn Abbas, with the origin point being a mystery.
But how do muslim scholars justify accepting this report? Even within the methodology of traditional hadith science, I cannot think of a reason to accept this report. Yet we find it in Sahih Bukhari, alleged to be the most authentic book of hadith that exists. Especially considering that Ibn Abbas was pretty careless in who he got his stories from, since we know he believed in the earth being spread on the back of a whale.
So what am I missing?

I've been wanting to get into road cycling for a bit and have been looking at a few endurance road bikes. Currently I'm commuting every day on a Trek Single Track 930, which has given me a preference for steel over aluminum. The drop bar Preamble looks cool and is in my price range, though I'm not sure if it's intended to be used as a road bike (too heavy? wrong geometry? low gearing? etc).
Anyone have thoughts on the matter? I was thinking that I could ad a 2x crankset and maybe slightly thinner tires to make it more suitable to road riding but don't want to put time/effort/money into it if it's not worth it.

Yesterday I was doing an orientation shift in the ER for my new job when a elderly lady started banging on the Bay doors asking to be let in. In usual fashion everyone rolled their eyes and started asking who was gonna tell grandma to go to the main entrance of the ER. One of the EMT's very strongly directed her where she needed to go. A few minutes later I saw her walk into a room where we had just set up a crash cart..... They had been married for decades, the first thing she did was tell him how scared she was when he had passed out and how she was there for him and she loved him. Despite being half conscious he still reached out to hold her hand. No one else caught the little interaction but it completely blindsided me with emotion and how we can get so used to being fed up with patients and their families that we sometimes forget that people are scared and terrified for their loved ones.
TL:DR what looked like elderly Karen banging on the doors was actually a lady completely terrified for her husband of several decades and their interaction ripped my heart out a little

2023.06.06 14:29 Yellowlegoman_00 In your mind, how would a Harry raised by Sirius turn out?

If you ask me, there are a few key changes.
1) He’d be a more self-assured child. Growing up with Sirius, I imagine that Harry would have friends before he went to school, and so he’d be more socially confident.
While Idk if he’d be a ‘prankster’ (it isn’t even clear that the Marauders were), in my opinion Canon Harry always had a well developed sense of humour and mischief that I think he’d be less passive about with any good guardian.
2) On the other hand, I think Harry would be a considerably more suspicious child. That’s not to say Canon Harry was gullible or anything, just that I think a Harry raised in the magical world would be fairly distrustful of letting other people close or seeing him vulnerable. This is, quite simply a result of growing up a celebrity where many people would seek to ‘be his friend’ for insincere reasons, from other children looking for their five minutes of fame, to journalists to people who mean him genuine harm.
3) I think Harry would be pretty spoiled. Now, this isn’t to say he’d be a nasty brat. Lots of children are spoiled and turn into perfectly conscientious people anyway because their parents set proper boundaries and aren’t too lenient.
However, I don’t think it should be ignored that when Harry was five Sirius would suddenly become extremely wealthy with the death of his mother (the fact Sirius lived in a flat leads me to doubt the money he got from Alphard was anywhere near a small fortune, and I cannot see Sirius accepting them living out of Harry’s vault even if there is enough) and he’d therefore likely be used to a life of significant means. I could see this creating a Harry who is less empathetic to say, Ron’s insecurity over his poverty. That’s not to say they couldn’t be friends, just that it wouldn’t happen by commiserating over what it’s like to have little.

I was in the inn in riften, left riften, traveled to Riverwood (using Carriage Stops mod) gave the golden claw the merchant, left Riverwood to Winterhold, walked away in the inn and out to go to the college. the min i take step on the stairs it freezes. So what confused me is that my girl plays Skyrim so when I'm at work she says it crashed once and after that it hasn't since then like 3-5hrs in gameplay. So I'm confused on what's causing crashes when i play because it makes no sense. Can someone see what in that LO is old and needs to be removed. Like said the LO i use is the 2nd one in the menu. I’m applying for a Secret clearance with a federal contractor. Never been in any legal trouble. I live in a recreational and medicinal cannabis state. I’m admitting on my SF86 about past cannabis use.
In the past I’ve also used DMT, mushrooms and LSD. Haven’t done any of those in a year. Question is will they interview somebody that I don’t list as a reference in the SF86? None of my friends, family or acquaintance know about the psychedelics I’ve used in the past. What if the friends husband lies about me to the interviewer and tells them I still use psychedelics (which I don’t). It’s my word against his, how do they weigh who is telling the truth and who isn’t?

I don’t know if this is the right place to ask.
The house next door to us is a rental. Joined to our walls and the neighbour the opposite sides wall also.
The landlord and landlady are utter assholes. We’ve had over the last 15+ years a drunken guy shouting yelling daily, two 21 year olds who insisted they needed loud music and tv to sleep, year after them old lady who had music and tv playing ALL DAY LONG I am not kidding , loudly enough yiu heard the words, her autistic grandson would get dumped there and he would meltdown for six hours straight screaming crying with her ignoring him ( I am also autistic so this hurt me both sensory and emotionally knowing his distress of meltdowns)
I Ended up so distressed on a daily basis that I developed gastritis, ran away from the home multiple times and even begged to die because of constant sensory overload.
She left, new neighbour, moved in October time. Who is now banging in there every week, multiple days a week loudly. It’s rented so he’s not working on the property, there’s a big garden space he could use for working in seeing as there’s not a garage for the house where it wouldn’t echo around our entire bloody house.
I’m autistic really really struggle with noise but this is very very loud banging as in I’ve tried wearing earplugs and headphones over the top, I even have to do so to sleep nighttime and still get woken early by him some days. I have chronic illness too so I need sleep in the day and I’m trying to run my own shop from home too.
Would you say it’s reasonable to expect the work done outside ? The walls of these houses are very thin also not like proper thick walls which makes it worse.
I’ve just truly had enough. The worst part is the landlord KNOWS my noise struggles because they had the audacity to come knock and insist were the problem for them losing money to search for a new tennant when they let anyone stay there as long as they’re earning money.

2023.06.06 14:29 baboonandsloth everytime I build my site, the next day critical error

I have nothing that "auto updates", and I'm very careful about what's going into it.
I spent all saturday and sunday re-setting up the site again and it worked flawlessly. Come monday morning I get " There has been a critical error on this website. "

always... I don't know what to do anymore, I don't even know how to troubleshoot this or where to look, I admidt I'm a bit of a noob here, but like.. I don't understand what happens. It's not always overnight, I built it a week ago and in an hour it stopped.
I also am using strong passwords, have fail2ban, etc. running.
example length/style of passwords: Emoticon-Childless-Grating-Pusher5

I'm not asking for someone to come in and solve this, but I am asking for help on how to figure this out and prevent it so I learn, as of right now wordpress seems super unstable to me and I know it's not.
note: hosted on bare metal, I have one subdomain on it with nextcloud hosted and NEVER have nextcloud issues.

I have been on the hunt for a freelance designing job for a while now. Right now, im struggling to work part time retail because of my physical and mental limitations due to autism and other chronic crap, and I wish finding freelance work wasnt so hard.
I am a graphic designer, i have been for years now, but for some reason i am incapable of putting together a proper portfolio because all of my work is so varied and also scattered to time and old computers that are long gone. I am proficient with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, but im only just now starting to learn after effects.
I used to try to find freelance work on Upwork, which was difficult before they started to charge you to "bid" on jobs by applying with in site currency, and it sucks now. All other work i can seem to find are shitty corporate agencies that are full time 40+hrs, and require you to be a web designer, power point designer, social media specialist, video producer and editor, content creator... some real "fast paced environment" crap. I have worked corporate before in another context and it caused me a mental break so im trying to avoid that but its getting harder by the day.
Luckily, i live in an apartment that is based on my income so that helps, but im only really making enough to cover bills right now. My boyfriend is incredible and happy to help with groceries and stuff because he works full time (at the same retail store, yes the store knows and its totally ok) and i take care of a lot of the home stuff, but he is also autistic and is starting to reach heavy burnout. I feel guilty because he claims he cant stop or rest as much because he has to make money for us, but i dont want to put him in the situation where he burns out for me because thats not fair.
So to cycle back around, i am struggling to find work that isnt either out of my wheelhouse/comfort level, or prove that i can do the work at all in smaller freelance instances.
I feel things like Fivr and other sites like it are not for me because my workstyle is so varied and job specific, and also its very oversaturated with people who already are doing so much better and will obviously get the attention of a customer first.
TBH it feels like no matter what i want to try to do for work nobody will want it because there is always something cheaper or better and easier. I really am trying my best but it feels not good enough...
any other designers/artists really going through it right now?

I’m sorry if I’m using the wrong flair but… My partner is suicidal. They said they’ll live for me because they know what will happen if they kts but I am scared. I try my best to support them and tell them how they deserve to live and how I can’t loose them. I don’t know if it’s helping or not.. I need advice on how to help them. They’ve been in and out of hospitals so I do not want to call someone especially if they really aren’t going to die. But I’m scared for them and want to help, does anyone have any advice on how I can help?

Hi guys, so I just finished my bachelors degree and got a job at an early stage startup (~10 employees), as a FE engineer. There is one more developer in the FE team who has around 3 years of experience in FE, and we both report to the CTO directly (he reviews our PRs and assigns us tickets). I'm the most junior guy in the startup. It all started when I joined the team and noticed that there is no documentation and we aren't allowed to leave comments in the code. It's been over 3.5 months now and since the past month my CTO has started shouting at me in FE team meetings (with me, other senior FE dev and the CTO) whenever he spots an error in my PRs. As we are nearing launch, we are made to work like hell with super tight deadlines. Because of this reason I'm extremely stressed and with the constant text messages from my CTO don't help either. Whenever he spots some bug in the PR, he loses it and sends me messages. This has been happening for over a month as I said, and almost every PR that I've created has had bugs. He helped me for over 2 months with my tasks, but after I had to take a 2 weeks break after that for my college exams and joined back, he has become very sensitive to any issues in the PR i raise. I also got a message from my CEO after he talked to my CTO, that I should really start focusing more and doing good work in PRs. At this point I'm really confused if it's happening because of my inability to code or because of my CTO who didn't bother helping me out much. I'm stressed and thinking about quitting but I'm also not sure if I'm just overthinking it. Also the pay is pretty good which is another reason why I don't want to leave.
Am i just bad at programming or is my company's work culture really bad?
