Here are all of the new US CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in May 2023, according to the Department of Energy. These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:

1. Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
2. Leaf owners like me, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive a Leaf, or an older CHAdeMO car, see my matching post in leaf.

Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 222 CCS charge points added or refreshed in May 2023, which is up from 171 in April. For comparison, there were only 74 new CCS charge points in May 2022. Things are speeding up.
"What about CCS charging at Tesla superchargers?" Tesla is in the process of rolling out their "magic dock" for non-Tesla cars, but so far in very few locations. If they start doing this at scale and reporting it to the Alternative Fuels Data Center then it will be reflected here.
"What about Ford vehicles with NACS (Tesla) plugs?" They are not on sale yet. Current-generation Ford vehicles have CCS plugs. The next generation will have NACS (Tesla) plugs, but will also support CCS via an adapter.

No soy fea pero tampoco soy tan bonita que digamos, muchas veces salgo mal en las fotos, soy muy delgada para mí edad, veo como las demás chicas ya tienen cuerpos de mujeres mientras que yo soy un palo vestido, veo como ellas son tan hermosas y bonitas mientras que yo estoy comparandomé constantemente con lo hermosas que son todas menos yo. No soy muy femenina, tengo un rotro mas bien masculino: mandibula grande,boca pequeña y labios finos, una cara huesuda, cejas gruesas y pobladas, frente ancha, etcétera. Aveces me gustaría ser tan bonita, ser como las demás chicas, pero obviamente conservando mis gustos, ser femenina y que los chicos gusten de mí, pero eso no va a pasar. En fin no sé que hacer, si enfocarme más en mí físico, cuidado facial/ de cabello, etc o en mejorar mi personalidad y crecer mentalmente.

Para que no tenga que explicar ciertas palabras o conceptos, voy a usar este espacio como glosario de los modismos tumberos, que son usados a modo de código interno en este ambiente.

• Distintos términos usados para nombrar a la policía:
• Cobanis.
• Chanchos.
• Ortivas.
• Poli.
• Encargado.
• Encargado del fondo.
• Ratis.

• Gorrudos.

A - Abierta: Se usa en referencia a cuando tenés la celda abierta.

• Avioneta: Preso que a cambio de cosas (ropa, puchos, drogas) acceden a hacer trabajos de riesgo como pelear, golpear, apuñalar o matar a alguien.
  
• Anti-Concha: Preso con alguna causa relacionada la violencia de género.
  
• Anti-Chorro: Preso que le roba a otro preso.
  

B - Bagallo: Las bolsas con mercadería, comida, ropa, puchos, elementos de higiene, que les traen los familiares a los presos.

• Boga: Abogado.
  
• Beneficio: El beneficio es que recompensa otorgada a los presos por su buena conducta. Ejemplo: más horas desengomados, más celdas abiertas, abiertas generales, más cosas permitidas en el pabellón, ect.
  
• Buzón: Celda pequeña y separada de la población, destinada a los aprehendidos por delitos menores (osea que van a estar ahí un par de horas o días). En los penales los buzones se usan para presos en tránsito, castigados, o con resguardo físico.
  
• Brillo: Azúcar.
  
• Bajar a tomar la sopa: Pelear.
  
• Berretines: Caprichos. Negarse a hacer favores.
  
• Banca: Tolerar ciertas actitudes, comportamientos o personas.
  

C - Casucudos: Policías anti-motines, llamados así por su uniforme compuesto de casco, chaleco, escudo y cachiporras.

• Canadá: Cárcel.
  
• Caranchear: Robarle a otro preso.
  
• Cabida: Confianza que hay entre otros presos para joder y hacerce bromas.
  
• Cartuchera: Dicho así a las vaginas de las ranas, cuando traen dentro de ellas drogas o elementos prohibidos.
  
• Chaponear: Golpear la puerta de la celda.
  
• Ceniza: Cenicero.
  
• Camión: Vehículo dónde transportan a los presos.
  
• Casa: Celda.
  

D - Dinosaurio: Preso viejo que lleva muchos años en cana.

• Desengome: Cuando te sacan de la celda.

E - Engome: Cuando te encierran en la celda.

• Escopetero: Cascudo que anda con una escopeta anti-motines.
  
• Escopeta: La escoba o el limpia pisos.
  
• Encanar: Caer en cana.
  
• Esquela: Carta que los presos escriben a sus familiares o conocidos de afuera.
  
• Empapelar: Cuando la policía te crea una causa falsa para dejarte preso.
  
• Escribir: Labor de los cobanis a la hora de caratular tu causa.
  
• Escribir el Lomo: Hablar mal a las espaldas de alguien.
  
• Enpalomar: Atar a alguien o algo con palomas.
  
• Espada: Biblia.
  
• Encargado del Fondo: Es el policía encargado de vigilar a los presos. El que en las telenovelas llaman guardía.
  

F - Fiche: Taquero.

• Faca: También llamado punta o planchuela, es el cuchillo tumberos.
  
• Fierros: Los cubiertos y utensilios de cocina.
  
• Feite: Es la hoja de afeitar que se extrae de las máquinas de afeitar.
  
• Ferrari: Presos jóvenes sometidos sexualmente por los otros presos del pabellón.
  

G - Gancho: Percheros tumberos hechos con encendedores, lapiceras, cepillos de dientes o cualquier otro material de plástico. Los cuales son derretidos en un extremo y colocados en hueco en pared para asegurar un buen agarre.

• Gato: Preso denigrado por otros presos y obligado a hacer labores como cocinar, lavar ropa y limpiar los fierros.
  
• Guitarrero: Violador.
  

H - Hermanitos: Presos pertenecientes a pabellones cristianos.
I - Ingreso: Preso nuevo.
J
K
L - Leonera: Son jaulas afuera de los penales, a cielo abierto (se llaman así por la similitud que tienen con las jaulas para leones de un circo o zoológico).
M - Mira: Espejo o CD. Se les dice así porque sirve para mirar por fuera de la celda.

• Marroca: Esposas.
  
• Marrocado: Esposado.
  
• Mono: El mono es la "valija" del preso. Cuando un preso se va de traslado, pone todos sus objetos personales sobre una manta y luego ata las cuatro puntas formando una bolsa con sus cosas, para poder llevarlas.
  
• Mickey Mouse: Se le dice así al ladrón común, al ratero, al manoteador de celulares.
  
• Mandar a Explorar: Mandar a alguien a hacer una pregunta indebida, o ir a algún lugar para que caiga en una trampa. Son bromas que se hacen los presos.

P - Primario: Es el preso que encanta por primera vez.

• Paloma: Las palomas son sogas hechas con tiras de tela. Son llamadas así ya que se usan para pasarse cosas de pabellón en pabellón y al ser arrojadas "vuelan como palomas mensajeras". También son usadas como sogas para tender la ropa, entre otros usos.
  
• Pescar: Agarrar algo que está fuera del pabellón mediante el uso de palomas.
  
• Pajarito: Licor tumberos hecho con frutas o arroz fermentado.
  
• Perros: Son los aliados del referente, los que lo defienden y pelean por el.
  
• Plaqueta: El celular.
  
• Palero: Cascudo con cachiporras, palos.
  
• Plátano: Banana.
  
• Población: Los presos comunes, osea los que no están en pabellones de conducta, ni pabellones cristianos.
  
• Política: Se denomina política la manera de llevar y hacer las cosas en el pabellón. Las normas que los referentes imponen.
  
• Preventiva: Es la detención preventiva ordenada por el juez, para mantenerte preso a espera del juicio. Si en 45 días no te llega la preventiva te vas en libertad, la preventiva no puedo durar más de dos años. Supuestamente.
  
• Patada: Tener el favor o beneficio de los Cobanis o de personas externas, para conseguir ciertos lujos o comodidades.
  
• Pinchar: Termino referido para generar conflictos.

T - Tumbero: Se usa en referencia a todo lo de origen y fabricación carcelario, ya sea herramientas, armas, o cualquier otro objeto. También se usa en referencia a presos conflictivos y/o violentos.

• Tumbear: Es un adjetivo utilizado para clasificar ciertas actitudes en el ambiente carcelario. Cosas como arremangarse los pantalones, hacer ejercicio (si no banca), anti-chorrear, afiliar y pelear con facas.
  
• Taquero: Jefe de una comisaría.

I am currently an HOURLY temp-to-hire working a hybrid corporate office position in California. I was assigned a specific designated market area only because I am "local" to the Los Angeles, CA area, "local" meaning 2+ hour drive one way, and it is expected that we make visits to this area frequently.
I am the ONLY person on my team that would have to drive 50mi+ regularly and find this to be complete bullshit. I have absolutely no issues with traveling for work, but I am 100% NOT okay with using my personal vehicle for regular business trips that would be 50mi+ as the company policy says we need to be ok with driving within 50mi which i'm fine with - but im being asked to do way outside of this range (80-100mi +) normal distance.
I want to set a firm boundary that if I need to travel past 50mi that I'm no way in hell driving that as that's absolutely ridiculous for someone living 2+ hours away in LA and would be a minimum of a 4 hour round trip in a 8 hour workday. My employer tries to argue that they compensate for mileage but the payout is nothing close to how much gas, time, mental exhaustion, and future repairs are going to require. I have tried explaining the ridiculousness of driving this distance in LA, bringing up how I would LOSE money with their travel expense guidelines, and all I want is for them to pay for a lyft/uber there and back or even plane ride/travel accommodation anytime I'm required to travel past 50mi.
Even explaining to my manager how me sitting in traffic for 4 hours in an 8 hour workday unable to attend to any work and that I would need to work OT sounds better to them than paying for a lyft/uber?! To them, I should have carpooled with someone from our company who conveniently lives near me earlier or taken ground transposition (that would take 3-4 hours).
For obvious reasons such as needing income to live, quitting is not an option. How can I fight for my right for REASONABLE travel accommodations with my manager?

hey everyone. My buddy just started trucking about a year ago and said i should give it a shot ( i was a carpenter but have been wanting to try something different.) . So i got my class A permit, did the interview and went thought the hiring process ( interveiw, physical , drugtest). i was basically hirred on but after my background check they changed theyre mind. I have one felony ( i did not go to prison, some county time and check into probation once a month , first time ever) on my record from a year ago ( not driving related) and thats all. Theyres people in this company who have worse background than me but not as recent.

I am planning on taking a road trip in July from west to east across the vast land of USA. This is not my first major road trip so have some experience before but not in USA so i need some advice. Recently last summer in '22 i went on a 7000 km (+4300 miles) road trip from northern Norway where i live, down to Germany, Czechia, Austria, back to Germany and up again so i have experience driving long distance. That trip i did in 2 and a half weeks.
What to know is that i am travelling solo but is up to doing group activities and get to know others on the trip. Rental car and airline tickets are booked. I have 20 days on me on this major trip.

• Where to eat?
• What chains of hotels/motels to stay at? (not specific of where)
• Activities to do? (together with a group)
• Any other recommendations?

I have planned Airbnb in LA and NYC but rest will be hotels and motels. I don't need an answer of specifically where to stay at. I won't reveal my accomodation plans. I will be starting in LA and head to Las Vegas. I plan to stay 5 days in LA, 3 days in Las Vegas and 3 days in NYC. From Las Vegas i plan to head back on historic route 66 in Kingman, AZ. I am not sure if i have time to visit Dallas on day trips when i am in Oklahoma City and also not sure if i will be heading short time into Toronto in Canada. That is up to the rental company if they allow it and if it is any time left for it. I will be flying from Oslo to Los Angeles and flying back to Oslo when i arrive in NYC. I have 3 days to stay in NYC and plane leaves very late on last day so have lots of time exploring more of NYC on the last day. Or i can add a day to other parts of my trip. I might be heading back to NYC sometime again, maybe during Christmas holiday.

Sorry this is a long one. Here’s some background:

• We have little experience driving in US, but we’ve had experience driving in Winter on slippery roads with low visibility.
  
• We will try to drive in the day as much as possible, noting that the sunsets around 5pm in winter
  
• We have a ‘Avis President's Club’ (automatically enrolled due to their partnership with another airline). We’ve had good experience with Avis in other countries.
  

Here’s our itinerary for reference:
Day 1 to 5: pick up car in Los Angeles Airport (Avis) upon arrival. Explore LA.
Day 5 to 9: Explore Joseph tree > Grand Canyon.
Day 9: Drive to Las Vegas (rest stop). Return rental car at Las Vegas
Day 10: Fly from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara airport. Pick up the rental car near Santa Barbara airport (Avis)
Day 11 - 13: Drive up to Big Sur (if roads are open) and Monterey.
Day 13: Drive to Yosemite
Day 16: Drive to San Francisco. Return rental car near hotel. Note: this is to save the valet parking fees which is $70/night, and we think we might not need the car the following day
Day 17: explore SF by public transport, ferry, foot. Half day at the Alcatraz.
<3rd part of trip>
Day 18: pick up rental car. Flexible plans (Muir Woods, Golden Bridge and/or Napa).
Note: we can’t return the car on Day 19 as it’s a major public holiday and most rental shops in the city are closed
Day 20: return rental car at San Fran airport
Our questions:

1. Do you think that Avis would be the best option? We’ve taken into account its wide network and our membership.
   
2. Considering the costs and weather constraints, what cars should we book for each part of the trip?
   

• Part 1 (LA, Joshua Tree Park, Grand Canyon): normal car or intermediate SUV?
  
• Part 2 (up the coast, Yosemite): Intermediate SUV. We know there’s no guarantee to reserve a 4WD/AWD, but do you have any tips on how to secure one in advance? We are worried that options at Santa Barbara’s airport might be rather limited and we might have a 2WD in Yosemite.
  
• Part 3 (SF): cheap economical car, to avoid car-theft in SF.

Bueno el día de hoy solo e venido a contar algo un poco aterrador que me platicó mi abuelo y por lo cual ahora me cuesta trabajo dormir y todo se los voy a contar según lo que me dijo mi abuelito. Todo empezó cuando el era joven de unos 13 o 14 años tenía un grupo de unos 4 amigos no era la gran cosa solo un grupo de chicos que les gustaba explorar en donde vivían (México Toluca) si bien no era el lugar más interesante tenía lo suyo como parques y según mi abuelo aún más cosas que no recuerda, pero según el lo más interesante eran unas alcantarillas por las que cualquier persona podía entrara pues unos chicos habían destrozado la reja tiempo atrás, bueno el punto es que mi abuelo y su grupo de amigos lo solían explorar pues según mi abuelo lo describe como “un mini laberinto” pero el y sus amigos no eran tontos por qué siempre amarraban un conjunto de cuerdas afuera y esto con el objetivo de dejar algo con que orientarse, pero ya conocían bastante bien los túneles pues incluso tenían un mapa de todo lo que habían explorado asta que un día encontrara una clase de agujero gigante el cual estudiaron su exterior por 2 semanas asta que un día con linternas más de 20 cuerdas y palos de metal se decidieron y entraron al agujero, para la suerte de mi abuelo y sus amigos habían escaleras pero de todas formas habían llamado a 3 personas más aparte de ellos para cuidar las cuerdas. El viaje en ese agujero según mi abuelo apenas había empezado pues nada más llegar encontraron mares de desechos de basura pero aún así continuaron, según era un lugar 5 veces más grande que los túneles normales y después de volver arriba decidieron que su rutina consistiría en explorará esos túneles de manera diaria y así fue día tras día asta que en el día 9 encontraron una pequeña puerta de metal bastante bien reforzada pues tenía 5 candados y el material era muy duro pero a mi abuelo y a su grupo de amigos no les importo y siguieron intentando y recordemos que en esas épocas según mi abuelo había cosas de metal tiradas por todas partes por lo cual en el día 14 lograron abrir la puerta y solo encontraron una clase de pecera pero no había agua si no un líquido pegajoso negro según uno de los amigos de mi abuelo pero según qué a ese amigo de mi abuelo sintió que algo lo mordió y después de eso el amigo de mi abuelo se obsesionó con ese líquido que la última vez que lo vieron de una manera “normal” salió en la madrugada a los túneles y después desapareció por 2 semanas pero que un día en el que mi abuelo fue a buscarlo encontró su silueta con ojos blancos brillantes y que según las palabras exactas de mi abuelo “me miró con unos ojos blancos brillantes que parecían 2 focos” después de eso según mi abuelo esa cosa lo señalo y se dio la media vuelta en ese momento según mi abuelo solo camino y se convirtió en ese líquido negro y que donde desapareció solo estaba la gorra del amigo de mi abuelo al instante después de eso mi abuelo con una radio le dijo a sus amigos lo que vio y que aparentemente a todos les pasó lo mismo solo que a cada uno le dejo una prenda diferente y que decidieron bautizar al moco negro como SMOLG. Después de eso todos se mudaron y nunca se volvieron a ver pues acordaron antes de mudarse que no se encontrarían a menos que el SMOLG regresara.
