I've recently started a new supernova playthrough, Spacer's Choice Edition. Evenly distributed attributes, focused on leadership, then inspiration to 60, and science to 40 afterwards. I wanted to mess with the tinkering aspect of the game. I once saw a rule of thumb to never tinker an item when it costs over 1000 bits and I concur with that.
For starters, if you want to tinker, at least get science to 40 for the -50% cost.
Only upgrade your weapons and armor five or six times. Regardless of weapon/armor level, you only need 900-1100 bits for five upgrades (upgrading a weapon from level 5 to 10 is around the same cost as upgrading a weapon from 10 to 15). The sixth upgrade is when it starts getting expensive, but it still below 1000 bits. If you have the bits then go for the sixth, otherwise just stay with the five upgrades. On supernova the earliest weapons I found, plus five tinkering levels, carried me easily until I found better weapons.
That rule can change if/when you get science to 100 for the -90% cost.

Instead of robbing people of an opportunity for escapism, Blizzard could initiate a charity campaign and release each month some items in the in-game store that non-Ukrainian citizens could purchase to support suffering people of Ukraine (and so that Blizzard would receive money they want).
For the reference , starting with 4th of July the subscription price increases for about 25% per month. GDP in Ukraine in 2021 was USD 4,835.6 per capita (in comparison Germany had 51,203.6, UK - 46,510.3$). 4 chests are “mimics” which will immediately end the game
Your first 2 choices are protected by “savers” - so if either or both of the first 2 chests you open are a mimic, the mimic will be destroyed and removed from play, and the game will continue. If you discover no mimics in the first 2 choices, the savers disappear
You are also aware from the start of the game of the location of a “saver chest” which contains an additional “saver” this will stay with you until you discover a mimic, and will have the same effect as above.
What would be the best method to open chests to increase the amount of chests you can open before the game is over?
My understanding is that although the chance for each chest to be a mimic is equal, you could initially increase the chances of encountering a mimic by opening all chests in the column with the saver chest, starting with 2 random chests, then the saver, then open the rest of the chests in the column in a random sequence. If for example you encountered 2x mimic chests using this method, the overall chance of encountering a mimic for the rest of the game would be reduced. If you do not encounter any mimics, then it is no different to selecting random chests.

I'm creating a villain for a homebrew-ish city set in the Forgotten Realms. They're level 4, but I don't want to make this villain an immediate threat. A necessary evil at first, let things simmer.
The idea is to use the Shadow Broker from the Mass Effect series as a base (which in a sense is a lot like Xanathar, but I want to focus on the "dealer of intel" side of it). And the Geth also from the same series. Yeah I'm a ME fan, whatever.

Mindswarm
The Mindswarm is an abhorrent and chilling creature comprised of hundreds of thousands of Cranium Rats, united in a sinister horde. This aberrant entity manifests as a pulsating mass of rats, each the size of a hand, moving in perfect synchrony with a dark purpose.
The Cranium Rat horde divides into smaller, highly intelligent groups that are sent as spies and infiltrators. Each individual rat serves as a tiny, disposable spy, capable of telepathic communication with the other members of the swarm. Their collective intelligence is unnerving, enabling them to plan complex strategies and act with flawless coordination.
This monster is an unrelenting threat, reproducing rapidly to maintain an infinite horde and growing stronger with each new member. The greater the number of rats, the more powerful and intelligent the swarm becomes.
Commanding this horde is the feared Mind Flayer known as Cephalorr. This abominable psychic being uses the Cranium Rats as its puppets, controlling and directing the horde to achieve its dark objectives. Cephalorr is capable of further amplifying the psychic powers of the rats, increasing their lethality and manipulation.
As combat unfolds, the Mindswarm reveals its alternate forms. With 75% of its remaining life, it assumes a weaker yet still dangerous form, adapting its abilities to the situation. When reaching 50% of its maximum hit points, the swarm loses the ability to unleash its powerful Mind Blast attack but continues to pose a threat with its biting assaults and mental control over enchanted creatures.
Facing the Mindswarm is a struggle against an unyielding and unfathomable force, a battle against the collective mind of thousands of intelligent and malevolent beings. So Mondays workout we had 3 sets of one workout. First set was 8 reps, the following 2 were AMRepsAP with 10 second rest in between.
I did my first set with 25s, the next set I only could do like 4-5 before stopping and the coach came over and made me go lighter (20s) saying I need to get at least 6-8 in the AMRepAP rounds. I’m trying to get stronger and increase weights and this seemed counterintuitive. I thought to build you go heavier and May not max out on high reps. Should I have stuck with the heavier weight or is she correct in saying I should do more at a lighter weight? My form was fine, I just couldn’t get to 6-8 with the heavier weight.

VDEP is a Hardcore Survival Vanilla+ server with Dark Nights and MORE INFECTED. We offer a fresh take on the Vanilla Survival Experience, with a few QoL changes as well as some additions. We are a First Person PvE/PvP server with 3 hour Days and 40 minute DARK nights, restarting every 3 hours. Only Wiping every 4-6 months we provide a home for long term base building and survival game play. VDEP also features hand crafted lore and POIs unique to our server, making up a new and different story for those who want a more immersive experience.
