Kynseed zinc

Hi everyone! I've been playing kynseed for a little while now and I absolutely love the game. I'm trying my best to plow through the skills so that I can have them all before the full game is released but I'm really struggling with some of the tasks.
I can't seem to get my pumpkin and lettuce quality above 2 stars. I have an artisan zinc sickle. With pumpkins I have all three proverbs and have tried planting them in mellowfield and harvesting in autumn/winter. With lettuce I only have a single proverb about not planting in winter.
Also if possible does anyone know how to find the recipe for mushroom pie and sky fish pie?
