I'm a 36-year-old male, standing at 180cm (5'11") and weighing in at 77kg (170lbs). I've recently made some significant changes in my lifestyle - I've stopped smoking, started exercising with an emphasis on muscle building, adopted a pescetarian diet, and implemented intermittent fasting (18/6).

hi everyone!
three weeks ago, i adopted my first ever cat! he's five years old, and for some context, his previous owner unfortunately passed away. he was SUPER timid in the shelter, refusing to let anyone even near him. he's opened up so so much in these last few weeks. he struts about like he pays rent, sleeps on our beds and snuggles up in the evening. hes a good cat!
but he does this thing where he looks at me, comes close to me and the moment i turn or even move a muscle he runs farther away, then repeats. i've read he maybe wants to be chased, but he's also very skittish. he HATES loud noises. he'll turn his head at ANYTHING, runs when the door is knocked and is still warming up to being in our house.
his ears aren't folded and he doesn't hiss or try to scratch me. i'd love to play with him, but if he's genuinely trying to make sure i'm not a threat then i'd hate to scare him. he slept next to me last night, if that's anything!

I was born in 1982 and am therefore a millennial. A geriatric millennial, to be precise.
Of course, we millennials had our own phrases and expressions too ("word!"). But, having just switched careers to digital marketing (SEO), I'm a little overwhelmed with Gen Z speak. Am I just going to sound like an embarrassing middle-aged auntie trying too hard if I say any of this stuff?

Someone paid more attention to me than to their phone when we went out to lunch à deux? Oh YES, I feel SEEN.
2) To slay
It took me 5 years to work up the courage to say this one, but now it's a fixed part of my repertoire.
3) "I'm here for it"
In Britain, we used to say "I'm up for it", but this is so much better.
4) Valid (i.e. meaning "true", or "correct")
Pardon me, we millennials were the original pioneers of this. I was saying this at school in the 90s when Gen Z were still swimming around in amniotic fluid or weren't even twinkles in their parents' eyes.
5) Low key
When you get to your 40s, believe me, you love low-key stuff. Frankly, you haven't got the energy for anything else. I'm a huge fan of low key.

Hi there, I consider myself as a "progressive" Muslim. I don't know fully what it means, but I joined the reddit forum and it seems to work well with my beliefs in Islam. However, I noticed a lot of Muslims on youtube like Ali Dawah and Muhammad Hijab calling progressive Muslims as kafir. I still pray to Allah. I still eat halal food. I still pay Zakat.
