According to the manufacturer of these covers, the ruffles should be out but my newborn has chicken legs and i already have the thigh snaps on the tightest setting yet we still get leaks at times. I've also done the bunny ears hack however there's still a bit of a gap around the legs. I noticed that if i tucked them in, they sealed better. Is it ok to do this?

hello, my baby chicken is sick, it is weak, it does not eat and it does not stand well. what can i do to help him

When I eat I can't do it with my mouth closed or else it hurts my jaw and stuff and people always look at me and say "manners" especially if we are in a restaurant or family members house. Sometimes food falls out of my mouth and that's embarrassing. And then I get called "gross".
I also have difficulty using a knife and fork and people have literally put them in my hands in a different way for me to cut. But that ended up just hurting me even though it was the "normal" way to hold them. I also eat my food systematically which gets me werid looks. So like I would first eat my chips and then I would eat my chicken yknow I'm also very picky.
Anyone else struggle with food or am I just gross and werid.

I really enjoy the moka pot at home, but I'm looking to upgrade a little to get milk involved. Something I can take camping and trips out.
Has anyone used the bellman cx-25p? It looks awesome, but I rarely hear people brag about it. Wondering what the ease of use is. How consistent the coffee is, how many people you can brew for and how long it takes from getting it out to cleaning it up again.
Any other suggestions for setups are really appreciated.

So it's not exactly reactivity but I'm hoping I can get some suggestions about this as nothing has helped long term. It seems to be leading to aggression in an otherwise very friendly and happy dog.
I got my dog about nine months ago. He's about 15 months old. He is a rescue who was being kept at a foster home. She mentioned he had diarrhoea on the food she was feeding him, but I still used that food at first while weaning him on to the same food my other dog eats.
I soon realised he was having diarrhoea on the new food too, so I tried rice and chicken. It was immediately obvious to me that the rice made him sick, so I put him on just boiled chicken. This worked but he's also underweight and feeding him solely chicken is not feasible.
So I tried him with different things - oats, different dry dog food including gluten-free, weetabix - all small amounts mixed into chicken but it all gave him diarrhoea. He loves to eat it, but his body doesn't.
On dry food, I noticed as well that he would get grouchy, especially towards my other dog, while eating, and arch his back like he's in pain. I separate the two of them while eating, but if he sees her, even through a crate, he growls and gets upset. I think the food physically hurts him and that's why he gets mad.
My latest attempt seemed to work for about a month, where I made his meals (chickpeas, peas, chicken, tinned fish, carrots and sweet potato, all blended up with water) and added a tiny bit of dry food. But now the pain signals and irritability while eating are back and I'm at a loss.
There aren't really dog nutritionists in my country and I can't afford to spend thousands on one. I've already been to a vet but their advice was fairly useless - they recommended a 'sensitive' dry food which hasn't helped. Which I expected - good vets are hard to find here and even good ones aren't nutritionists.
The issue as well is that constantly weaning him takes forever and he's having an unpleasant experience in the meantime. I'm thinking of trying raw food, but that will also be an expensive experiment. I don't mind spending if it'll solve the problem but I don't want to spend lots on something that hurts my dog. Taster packs (when available) are useless - unless I should stop weaning and just change him straight over?
Could it be that the dry food is hurting him, or is it the ingredients? Anyone else go through this? Any advice welcome.

so today (1/6/23) It was 9:30pm and birthgiver gave me £20 for food, well she gave it through sister (sa) as i was in my room, so sister (sa) put it through my door.
So earlier on i asked what the food was, someone told me it was wrap from the chicken. It’s chicken with mayo which is made there.
I don’t like it as it’s plain and the chicken isn’t good. I told birthgiver i don’t like it and i’ll just get some food. She asked if she can make anything for me, i said no and i’ll get some food.

I often host bbq party with large cuts of meats, briskets, chickens, ribs, etc. I usually got them all frozen. Normally what I would do is to thaw them days in advance in the fridge and wet/dry brine them in the fridge as well.
However sometimes the fridge is full, and I can't brine them all. I am thinking thawing them in the cooler with cold water overnight. The next day I can work on the meat, trimming, put some salt and rubs on them for dry brine, or add water for wet brine, seal them with vac sealer, and put them back in the cooler and add some ice.
I am worried with the risk though, is it safe to keep raw meats for a day or two in the cooler? Is regular ice sufficient to keep them cool or would I need dry ice?

So I was thinking, when guys approach girls for numbers/dating, how the guy looks and whether the girl is attracted to him, whether she perceives him as within or higher than her league, play a huge role in whether she gives him a chance or not. While what many so called PUA try to “preach” is, that you need “game” more than anything in the world, they claim that it doesn’t matter whatsoever who you are, how you look, etc. just have game and the girls, the attractive ones I mean, won’t get their hands off of you 🤦‍♂️well what value does “game” bring to the table if a certain guy is short/pooshy/introvert/has different vibes than those of the girl, I think being on the same page with the girl matters way more than being cocky, having “game” or pretending to be more confident than you actually are, not to mention if the girl is fixated on a guy with a certain look/height/dress style, then even vibing with her won’t do much. So my opinion is that there are three things that guys need in order to appeal to girls, by order of importance: 1- being her type, aesthetically speaking. 2- vibing with her, being on the same page with her, enjoying the same kind of music etc. 3- being confident, having “game”, having the guts to make the first move.
The third one playing the smallest role in my opinion. Because I believe if the girl likes your looks AND vibes, she will do 90% of the job and you just have to say yes, exaggerated a bit, but that’s how I feel and what I’ve seen.

When I was a kid Joanna Newsom would have been the ideal girl for me. If we had been in school together I would have always tried to get the seat next to hers in biology class so we could laugh and giggle at anatomy diagrams, or I would stand behind her in the lunch queue to smell her golden locks, or even give up my space in the lunch queue so she could get the best choice of chicken breast. I would have tried to look deep and thoughtful by frowning a lot and growing a fuzz moustache and scratching ironic cries for help in to my desk. She would no doubt have spurned my somewhat creepy and stalker-like advances with just as much indifference as she would have spurned my chivalrous actions as she would have been, on the evidence of Ys, far too deep a thinker for my teenage brain, fascinated rather than amused by anatomy, and ironic and funny without having to pretend.
She would have been my kind of gal because she was beautiful in a non-threatening way, highly original in her thought process, creative, alternative, smart, and so cute you could almost commit the accidental crime of squeezing all of the life out of her with overbearing affection. I'm 19M. I've noticed my hair is starting to thin. For a couple years now I can pull it out without much resistance. I have a bald spot that's noticeable on security cameras and such. It's kind of embarrassing but not much I can do.
I chalked this up to genetics originally but I read that apparently undereating can cause hair loss, and I'm not sure which might be causing it.
I only really eat one big meal a day. Besides that I only really have snacks like breads or sweets. Today I had a mini frozen chicken pot pie, corn on the cob, and a few frozen mozarella sticks (a lot of frozen stuff today, not always like that...). I had some chocolate chip muffins I made later (I had about 5 of them- about 2 inches or so wide and tall each.) And that made up most of the calories I had today besides bumming a few chicken nuggets off another family member from lunch. So a lot of my daily calories are probably snacks...
I don't really count the calories on what I eat. I was obese for all of high school and then some, but for some reason I started losing weight in 2021. So I figured whatever I was doing was working. During the school year I'll usually have like a small lunch (just leftovers or something I can grab on campus like a sandwich or something) and a big dinner and snacks (like described above). During the summer I don't even really eat lunch. Maybe like a bagel or something.
So now I'm kind of wondering if perhaps the reason my hair is thinning so much could perhaps be because I'm not getting enough nutrients? I chalked it all up to genetics since my dad is completely bald, but idk I feel like I'm a little young for it to be thinning already this much?

Hi vets, thanks for reading this.
I'll start from the first instance, about 18 months ago. Our dog, Mitzi, pooped indoors, which was completely out of the ordinary for her. The evening before, she had very soft poop and she requested to go out before her typical bedtime, but we didn't expect her to have an accident overnight. The following day she was very runny, and she requested to go out frequently. During the second night it was worse and she was requesting every two hours on average. The second morning she was sick and had liquid diarrhea with blood in it. She saw the vet that morning.
The vet gave her a nausea injection. As her abdomen was sore to touch, he gave us the pro-biotic paste and Pardale-V (half a tablet). She was moved to chicken & rice as her appetite was gone. Then she moved to Royal Canin Digestion wet food. She was very sick for several days and we did have a follow-up appointment that week.
The same thing happened again the next month. We had been keeping a food/poop diary. Similar symptoms to before but we started the pro-biotic paste sooner. We still had the frequent trips out overnight. Another vet visit and nausea injection and more digestive paste. We thought her poop was softer when she had pedigree jumbones. The vet suggested IBS or pancreatitis. We changed her kibble and all treats to low fat ones, less than 10%. The pancreatitis test was negative but the vet still thought that was the most obvious culprit.
Since then she has been healthy and active, but she gets a diarrhea bout every few months. Last month we tied it to thunderstorms. Her poop was runny, we started her immediately on the digestive paste and she was back to normal after 5 days. She didn't vomit or go off her food.
Her current bout is worse. She had runny poop on Wednesday, we gave her the paste. She was fine overnight and poop was normal on her walks. Then overnight on Thursday she needed to go out seven times. Poop is brown with a slight yellow tint and a slurry texture. She seems to be in discomfort so I'm going to give her some Pardale-V.
We do not know what caused the current run, she hasn't been under stress and her diet has remained low fat. This is one of many cases with no real cause. Plus, during the last year, she has been in kennels without having any issues.
We are moving soon, so we will be bringing this up with a new vet, but just looking for any other opinions as this is happening so frequently.
Water drinking note: two years ago, when the weather was very hot, she began drinking water obsessively, then vomiting. After it happened a few times we went to the vet, all tests came back negative. By measuring her water, we determined she is drinking an appropriate amount for her size, however sometimes (once a day, ish) she will drink compulsively and we have to stop her from drinking. It is worse if she is in a cafe/pub that supplies a water bowl. It seems to be a stress reflex. She always has access to clean water, but we only fill half her bowl at a time and make her move away if she's being compulsive. We do not prevent her from returning to the bowl a few minutes later.

I've been having trouble getting the wireless terminals from AE2 to work. Whenever I try to use one, it opens for 0.1 seconds and immediately closes. I've tried everything I can think of.
It's not:

• Power - I have the highest tier of player transmitter from the Powah mod, and the wireless terminal is fully charged. All my other power-requiring items work perfectly fine. I also tried disconnecting the transmitter, in case the immediate recharge was causing issues for some reason, and it still didn't work.
• Range - this still happens when I try opening it from right next to my ME system. When I try to open it when I am definitely out of range, it doesn't open at all, as opposed to the split second of being open I get when I'm in range.
• My keybind - I currently have it set to "n," which does not conflict with anything. Also, this still happens when I try to use it from my hotbar.
• A problem with the system itself - my ME system is working perfectly apart from this. I have a few non-wireless terminals connected to it that are working just fine, and every component says 'device online' when I put my crosshair on it.

I am out of ideas. Can anyone think of something that might make this work?

Today I'm celebrating the birthday of my Gloomhaven/Frosthaven companion app with its first alpha release v0.0.1 (online version) one year ago in 2022! As a gift, I also released the initial commit version v0.0.0 with even less features!
If you compare the first versions with the current one, you will notice that it has been a big ride until today, but you can also see some things that are still there! With 332(!) releases by now, I have been releasing almost one version a day 😅. (~0.88, but we love to round up positive values, don't we?)
First of all, I would like to thank the great Gloomhaven/Frosthaven community, who helped me a lot with feedback, bug reports and feature requests. All that Frosthaven support has been a big challenge (also because I don't own FH yet and still playing my first GH campaign), but I think all the important things have been covered by now.
Special thanks to all the contributors (especially u/Squinter for all the Frosthaven (and other scenario) data, many players will enjoy your work as well!) Check out the GitHub graphs on the contributors page to see how much the community has contributed!

First, an important notice: I'll be on holiday for the next two weeks, so I won't keep my update frequency during that time (and I really hope that the current version is stable enough that I don't need to provide any hot fixes).

• add counter for character tokens (in character menu or dragging on character icon)
• permanent character AM decks (enable in settings)
• Besides these features and everything I forgot, a lot of bugs have been fixed (and hopefully not new ones created) and things have been improved

Third, plans for the future (in order of timeline)

• Support for brewing (unlocking potions by spending herbs, and thus implementing the alchemist's table somehow, see point on second list)
• (finally) combine these objectives into a single line like Summons or Monster Standees (this has been open for a long time, but also requires a lot of work, so give me some time)
• Support for the specific Frosthaven building #90, challenges. So currently only challenge rewards are available, but many challenges could be applied in the scenario directly
• up-to-the-minute: Support for GH2E 🥳
• on the maybe list: Battle Goals and Event Cards, gets a lot of requests, but don't know if it's worth the work.

I wanted to share a competition idea inspired by Brülosophy's Short & Shoddy in our homebrew group that is turning out to be great fun. Perhaps it can inspire some other homebrew groups that are looking for ideas?
The basic premise: Competition entries need to be brewed after our May meeting; and will be drank during our June meeting. So grain to glass within a month - which already puts the pressure on quite a bit.
We wanted to encourage short & shoddy corner cutting, so we decided to award a multiplier to your competition score based on corners cut & self imposed difficulty. Anyone can brew a kveik hazy IPA or weizen within a month; but what about a lager or imperial beer?
These are the process criteria we will score the entries on:

• How difficult is it to brew this style within a month?
• How S&S was the mash?
• How S&S was the boil? (if any boil at all)
• How S&S was the fermentation? (compared to the normal fermentation time)
• And a bonus point system to award self imposed restrictions/shortcuts etc. This way we can award creative shortcuts but also even out the level the playing field a bit for those that can only bottle condition vs force carbonation etc.

If you cut all possible corners and brew a difficult style you get a 2x score multiplier. If you did not cut any corners and brewed a relatively simple style you get a 1x score multiplier.
Next part of the competition is to establish if the beer is any good, and we will use regular BJCP guidelines to score the beer. An entry must choose the style of entry from the BJCP guidelines (for example 3C. Czech Amber Lager) and will be scored by those standards by participants. 50 points are divided between Aroma, Appearance, Flavour, Mouthfeel, and Overall impressions, as is pretty standard.
S&S multiplier times BJCP score = final score.
By balancing process and quality we want to create an incentive to cut corners. But when you cut too many corners you might end up with a bad beer. To win this competition a participant will need to find the perfect balance between corner cutting and quality. Or you could just brew a great quality weizen and hope that all the corner cutting by others will lead to very poor beers - and still claim victory.
People have been super enthusiastic in our homebrew group with sharing photos. I'm super curious to taste all of these beers. It will be an interesting tasting indeed.
