I want to apologize for my rambling and if this doesn’t make much sense my mind is a mess. I was in a car accident 8 years ago and ended up getting addicted to pain killers. The addiction took over quick but I seemed to still be able to function and no one in my family seemed to notice so I didn’t think it was a big deal. I never planned on getting sober I was happy with how I was living my life and thought I was doing well balancing everything. I was very wrong. On September 20th 2017 I was driving home from college while high and fell asleep on the highway. I woke up with enough time to realize that I was about to go off the highway and hit a car on another road. I was some how able to maneuver my car safely enough out of harms way of the other car and stop. I realized in that moment I needed to get my shit together or I was going to kill myself or worse someone else. It was tough but I entered rehab and started making changes.
This brings me to the other day as I mentioned I was in a car accident that started all of this. In that accident I broke my pelvis and herniated a disk in my lower back. My back causes me pain and I can normally tolerate it but it was so bad that I asked my girlfriend of 2 years to get me some Advil for the pain so she did. After I took the meds I got a old but familiar feeling and realized it wasn’t Advil. Apparently she had some meds left over from a dental surgery she had a few months back and put them in an Advil container without thinking since I never take Advil and forgot about it. I am so hurt and upset because the cravings for it that I haven’t had in a while are back full force and it’s all I can think about now. I haven’t been able to sleep because of this.

Hi everyone - I’m the mother of a 7 month old and have recently been really struggling to plan my return to work and was hoping some kind people on here could help be a wall to bounce my thoughts off as I feel very confused and burdened.
I am an artist and create lines of work which are sold online and via wholesome in stores; over the years I’ve picked up a decent following and do quite well for myself financially. I work from home and had always planned to keep doing this with a child.
However I’ve been shocked how demanding a child can be when working from home and considering my job is creative I just can’t really imagine effectively carving out time to get the paints out and fullfill orders and all the regular business ops as before, and I’m not really in position to employ anyone.
On top of this although my job kept my going by the end I was also exhausted and fed up with it and just trying to get through each day.
Having a child also hasn’t come easy and it’s turned into a decade long journey through infertility with various losses along the way. So this makes me want to treasure this time even more.
Although I have no issues with others doing it childcare doesn’t seem the right option for now. Part of this as well is the fact that there really is a lack of childcare options where we are, and getting to one with ok reputation and space isn’t actually that convenient and kind of defeats the primary purpose at this stage of creating time.
On top of this we have no help from family as they are spread across the world, so don’t have any other day care options.
So I’ve made the decision to stop what I do which I haven’t yet announced. My husband is okay with this but just wants to make sure I’m 100% as sure as I can be as he knows how hard I worked to build my work up. Financially we are okay, he has a good job and one benefit of years without kids is that we’ve acquired some decent savings, but my salary is still a big sacrifice. He also knows he doesn’t fully understand just how much mental energy being a mum is - maybe i’m a lightweight, I certainly don’t know how others do it, especially with more than 1 kid!
Instead I plan to shift my work to a variety of courses and downloadable content that I can more easily create from home, without the hassle of physical order fulfilment. This means giving up lucrative wholesale contracts but seems much more manageable plus frees up valuable space in our home.
So the big question is whether that seems reasonable or whether - as I fear- I’m being a lightweight.

I had my little girl on 1/6 at exactly 38 weeks. I was scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks at a hospital an hour away. There are plenty of closer hospitals, but I chose this one because I was high risk and they had excellent perinatologists and a level 4 NICU.
It was just about 1am and I hadn't gone to sleep yet when my belly started to feel mildly crampy. About ten minutes later, as I was thinking this could be early labor (I was induced with my son, so I didn't really know what going into labor naturally was like), my water broke. I immediately woke my husband, telling him what happened and that we had to go. We still had some last minute things to throw together and I thought we would have a little time since I hadn't even been in labor all that long yet. (I labored with my son for 6 hours before pushing for 3.5 hours)
We probably actually got on the road by about 1:45am, at which point my contractions were getting pretty bad, but I honestly thought maybe I was being a baby about it because I hadn't been in labor long and I had anticipated getting an epidural as soon as I needed it, as I had done with my son. Once we got about 30 or so minutes down the freeway, my contractions were absolutely horrible and coming every 30-60 seconds or so, we obviously realized we were not going to make it to my intended hospital so while my husband drove, my mom searched for the closest hospital which was about 15 more minutes away.
We pull up to this small hospital in a pretty major city. It turns out that this hospital was so small, they were an ER only (once inside, you could basically see the entire ER from right there), meaning they had no maternity ward of any kind, not even an OB on staff (which we didn't know until we were settled inside). A nurse comes out to wheel me in and as soon as I get in there, I'm like "can I get that epidural now?" She said "here's the thing... we don't have anyone here to give you one." My heart just dropped lol. I had my heart so set on getting an epidural that I honestly did not really prepare for the possibility of not being able to receive it.
They told me they called an OB from the nearby hospital (5-10 mins away, that we should have gone to lol) and 911, so an ambulance was on it's way, sirens on, to take me there. You could tell all of the nurses/doctors were not used to handling a mom in labor, everyone was scrambling. Luckily, they really did well in helping me. The whole time, I just felt so delirious from the pain, they just kept giving me shots of fentanyl over and over, which didn't do a whole lot to be honest.
The OB arrived right about the same time the ambulance did and by the time I transferred to the gurney, I felt like I had to push, so they moved me back. The Dr. said to resist the urge to push, but there was NO resisting at that point. I was really nervous about the actual pushing because, with my son, I was completely numb from the epidural and even accidentally leaned up against the button to release more of the epidural medicine during pushing, so I had no idea what to expect in terms of feeling my baby actually come out of me.
I did a small push and went to push again, this is embarrassing lol, but I totally thought I was pushing out a giant poop (like along with my baby, but more poop than baby)...Then it just shot out! My very first thought was that I was pooped and they are going to have to move it to clear the way for my baby! Then my brain caught up lol, what actually happened is she just FLEW out! I guess the OB was not ready, but thank God she just happened to turn and literally catch my baby by the leg/ankle as she was already upsidedown, going over the end of the bed!
I felt the early signs of labor (felt kind of like period cramps) at about 1am and she was in my arms by 3:07am.
This whole experience was a whirlwind. I feel like it was something out of a movie lol. I have always rolled my eyes at the way movies/shows portray going into labodelivery. They always show the pregnant mother get a sudden twinge and then she cries out in pain that she's in labor and they need to go now (and usually they show her water break right at the start too). I thought how silly, that is just NOT how it works lol. But thats honestly how it played out for me! I spent longer on my birth plan than I actually laboring/giving birth lol.
I'm sorry this is so long winded! I have struggled to find the time to write this and also debated on whether I even should, but once I began writing it out, I realized it feels really cathartic to get it all out. Also, I thought perhaps this may help someone in someway. I really don't want my experience to freak anyone out that is nervous about labor. I guess I feel like if I had to do it over, I would have prepared myself for the slim chance of not being able to get an epidural/it failing. I prepared for so many different things, at least tried to mentally, if nothing else, but it's like my brain didn't even accept that as a possibility. Even still, I'm really thankful for the whole experience! It was nothing at all like I had anticipated, but despite how it all happened, it really went as well as it could have, I feel. We had no idea if my daughter would require a NICU stay or extra help, but she did amazing and still is!

I’ve been planning my trip to Japan with a lot of help from this thread. Currently going for around 9 days. Going with my partner who is not hip to the award travel game but I still love her :b
The first 5 nights I booked in Tokyo at the AC Ginza using the 5 FNCs from the Bonvoy Boundless (460/night seemed like not a bad deal) but I’ll be going to Kyoto and Osaka on friends recommendations (though happy to hear if I shouldn’t!) for about two nights each before the end of my trip.
I’ve got the Hilton Biz card which will give me around 160k points as well as a FNC by the end of it probably in July/August. Was thinking maybe to use it for one-two nights at the Conrad Osaka (95k a night or FNC) as Hilton didn’t seem to have good properties In Kyoto, but would love recs!
In Kyoto, I was considering any of the Hyatt properties from Hyatt Place (15k) or Regency (23k) on the low end to Sowaka (40k) or Park Hyatt (45k) on the high end if people think they are worth it!

Ever since I (M21) moved to morning shifts at my retail job to get more hours, I’ve been working with a ex-boxer verbally abusive manager who has been making my life feel like hell.
Every single time I work with him it’s always something, no matter how small or insignificant. One time a customer forgot their groceries after I literally put it in front of them before I started checking out the next customer in line, and I was told it was my fault. I got yelled at for wearing white shoes (once) and I wasn’t even clocked in or in my uniform. It was a whole five minutes before my shift and my work shoes were in my bag. I wasn’t even allowed WATER while I was working even though it was concealed and nothing was going on. I’m not going to sacrifice my health just for some stupid rule. These are just a few instances of many I have had to deal with at this horrendous tone deaf job.
I already work paycheck to paycheck, and they cut my hours way back in 2021 of February when I got sick with COVID once, and I feel like I haven’t financially recovered since because I’ve had to dig so much money out of my savings to get by.
They still refuse to give me more hours because I get sick more often now because I can’t eat as much to keep myself healthy. I am not even at a healthy weight to donate blood or plasma for extra cash, and even if I could it would not be sustainable for even a short time.
Last morning I had to tell my job I couldn’t work this one day because I needed to meet with my doctor, and I got verbally abused over the phone. Shouted verbatim, “Every time you do this, you are screwing us” and not even letting me a chance to speak he says “Whatever I’m just going to take you off the schedule” threatening my fucking income when it’s already so low and they know I barely make enough to eat. I try my best to come into work whenever I am physically able, and I work hard whenever I’m there. I literally constantly cover for other people including at different store departments, but now I just realize they’re taking advantage of me.
I already have another job as a manager in training at GameStop with a staff that actually respects and sees my value as a worker and person, with a promotion (that has a living wage) lined up once I get out of training and my friend who is the assistant manager over there leaves so I can fill his position. I have been feeling a lot better at this job, but currently my hours are not a lot and inconsistent for now due to schedules being wonky right now.
With this extra job I have, I’ve been just thinking fuck it and tell the other job I quit without sending in a two weeks. I of course plan to have another job lined up before I do this, but for the sake of my sanity and my integrity and pride as a human being, I really want to stick it to my old employers for just putting me through so much stress I didn’t need to.
I worked there for three years since I was in high school living on my own wage, so I think it’s about time. I’m just not sure if it would be a good idea or not to just skip the two weeks. I just want to pull the bandaid off.

I want to quit my retail job of three years without a 2-week notice after I get another job lined up because of the verbal abuse and mental drain my manager causes on me every day that I work there, but I’m not sure if it’s a smart decision as I’m worried about the consequences and if it will affect future opportunities. I saw him, I waved hi, he waved hi back, I turned around and slowly walked away. I saw him before travelling on foot to forage for food like several month ago. I was like an oasis in the desert. A primitive society amidst the backdrop of the modern society.
He is living somewhat in the suburban area in the city. So less wildlife! Treehouse = No 6 figure property debt. Food? Lower the expectations to the bare minimum.
Some legal issues though: camping overnight is not allowed... people seem to not care about that. Well rice and nuts can be stored for a long time. Surely, it is not that difficult to get it in today's society where obesity rates > starvation rates. Well entertainment is going to be books, less so for online forums, though possible. But no video games! High bandwidth. Basic medical inspections is free if you are a citizen.
It's either jail, free public housing or a homeless squat if NEETing long term without huge support. I know there are negatives of each, however seeing the positives: jail, 3 hots and a cot. public housing: rent free... squatting: self-sufficiency.

Wife Tayala and the Inquisitor that killed her. A lot of the inspiration for this came from the thread started by u/Global_Help_1225 , so credit to them for a big part of this. Warning that this theory does contain spoilers for both Jedi games, Rebels, the Ahsoka novel, the Vader comics, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
So we know that one of Bode's main motivations for joining the ISB was to learn the identity of the Inquisitor that killed his wife. There are multiple candidates that could have been responsible, and we're going to run through them all to get the best feel for which Inquisitor it could have been, starting with the least likely to most likely.
-Tenth Brother
He died within a year of the Clone Wars ending, and is quite unlikely since the Inquisitorious was barely organized.
-Sixth Brother and Unidentified Inqusitor from Tales of the Jedi
Judging from the Akuna family portrait, Tayala was likely killed only in recent years since Kata doesn't look much younger than her in-game model. Kata is likely between 8-10, and looks about 5-7 in the portrait. The Sixth Brother died in 18 BBY to Ahsoka, literally only a year after the Clone Wars ended. Kata would have been far too young for this portrait to have been taken while he was still alive. As for the Unidentified Inquisitor in Tales of the Jedi, he's basically meant to be the same as the Sixth Brother despite not being confirmed to be the same character and he is quite unlikely due to this.
-Iskat Akaris and Tualon
I put both of these candidates at the same level due to how connected they are. Iskat is clearly shown a merciful streak as she was willing to spare Eeth Koth's wife from death. I imagine she would take a similar position with Tayala considering the nature of her relation to Bode. Tualon would likely be there with Iskat considering their missions together and affections for each other, and would just accept what Iskat wants to do. Thus they are both very unlikely.
-The Grand Inquisitor
The head of the Inquisitorius seems highly unlikely. From what we know about the circumstances surrounding the death of Tayala, she was killed due to Bode not being home at the time. Logically speaking, this is a reckless and rather illogical move. A better strategy would have been for them to lure Bode out by taking Tayala hostage and forcing him to choose between letting her die or giving himself up. Slaughtering Bode's wife out of malice doesn't seem like the Grand Inquisitor's m.o., considering his tactical nature. He similarly prevented Reva from executing a Jedi instantly because he wanted to learn the location of other surviving Jedi. Killing Tayala accomplishes nothing useful besides making Bode possibly angry enough to come out of hiding for revenge. However, this method is far less reliable than keeping her alive as a hostage, which is typically the Grand Inquisitor's favored strategy. Even if he did kill Tayala, he likely wouldn't have left a body and would have tried to convince Bode that she was alive in prison, similar to what he did with Luminara and her corpse. In the end, the GI makes little sense to be the killer.
-Second Sister
For similar reasons to the Grand Inquisitor, Trillia doesn't make sense either. She had a similar calculating demeanor to the GI, and would likely want to capture Tayala instead of killing her. The only instance Trilla has of killing an innocent is Prauf from the first game. She mainly did this to draw Cal out as she knew that the Jedi was among the crowd and would not tolerate the death of innocents. Killing Tayala out of view from Bode would not have the same effect, and would likely be detrimental to her hunt. This leads me to think she can be eliminated from the likely candidates as well.
-Seventh Sister
This is another character that I think has enough tactical sense to keep Tayala alive. She does the exact same tactic with Ezra and Sabine in Rebels, knowing that they're more useful as bait to bring out the big fish. Thus, not the inquisitor that we're looking for.
-Fifth Brother
While he certainly has a brutish and reckless streak, I doubt he was the person responsible for Tayala's death. In Obi-Wan Kenobi, he's shown to have much more restraint than Reva when it comes to dealing with questioning civilians. While he's not above maiming his targets, he does typically have the sense to keep them alive and useful, if barely. While he could be a good candidate, he doesn't seem likely due to the reasons above.
-Eighth Brother
While not a lot is known about this inquisitor, I doubt he was the killer either. Considering he seemed to be chasing Maul for a long time, I think this was his primary assignment and he had little time for anything else. Maul is quite dangerous and likely far too important to devote time to hunting anyone else, especially the equally elusive Bode. Granted this argument is weaker, but I think there's some merit to it.
-Ninth Sister
This is both a likely and unlikely candidate. Her reckless and cruel personality is certainly the type to kill Tayala simply out of spite due to not finding Bode. She clearly has little regard for tactics, considering how she doubted the Grand Inquisitor's intuition about Cal returning to Kashyyyk. So this leaves her as a likely candidate...EXCEPT for the fact that she sees Bode during the opening of Survivor and doesn't appear to recognize him. Of course, this could be due to her focus on Cal since he cost her a hand in Fallen Order, but I imagine she would have taunted Cal about doing her job for her (by bringing Bode to her). Either way, something tells me she isn't our culprit due to a major factor.
What's important about all of these Inquisitors is that we know when and how they die. For narrative purposes, I don't think that the writers for Survivor would want to use an Inquisitor that is confirmed dead in a different Star Wars media. It likely would have no narrative punch if an Inquisitor known to die would appear in a sequel or spinoff game. There would be very little tension and would ultimately prove disappointing in the story. If we factor in the narrative purposes of having an Inquisitor who's fate isn't known, then this does help to substantially reduce our list of suspects.
-Third Brother
Yes, you read that right, in addition to Reva's title of Third Sister, there is a character known as the Third Brother. He was introduced in a source book a while back known as Darth Maul and other Dark Side Followers, from the Star Wars Encyclopedia. All that is known of him is that he carried out terrible things in the Empire's name, and that his eventual fate remained secret. It's rather odd for a source book to include this information without any pay-off, and I think this was put into the book for some future potential in case an inquisitor is ever needed in a story. However, this also works against his likelihood as he could just be a random mention in a book that will never be heard from again. Endless possibilities, but too little is known about him.
-Fourth Sister
This is another Inquisitor we know practically nothing about including her fate. Her concept was first introduced in a Halloween type comic from a few years back, but it was shown that this was just a rebel impersonating an inquisitor later in the story. Fourth Sister properly first appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She doesn't do much throughout it and generally doesn't have much of a presence, but she has a decent alien design and we don't see her die. Unfortunately there's not enough known about her personality to see if she would be the type to kill Tayala out of malice, but she did seem more restrained than both Fifth Brother and Reva. If they want to do something important with her, this could easily be it.
So this brings us to our final suspect, someone we know is alive far into the Imperial Era, has a reckless habit, and someone who's fate is unknown...
-Third Sister a.k.a. Reva Sevander
Reva is the most likely suspect responsible for Tayala's murder, from both a logical and narrative perspective. Let's start with her personality. Reva is extremely reckless, and can often be quite cruel. She maimed an innocent bystander on Tatooine by cutting off her hand, with very little provocation. Barely ten minutes later, she was attempting to decapitate a surviving Jedi, Nari, before being stopped by the Grand Inquisitor. Despite Nari being more useful alive for interrogation, she attempted to kill him instantly. Her reckless nature was also demonstrated by her attempted assassination of Darth Vader. Rather than attempting to strike from a distance, she engaged Vader in a direct duel and suffered the consequences for it. Attesting to her cruel tendencies, she attempted to murder the innocent Luke Skywalker as retribution for what Vader did to her fellow padawans. These traits combined easily demonstrate how she could be the one to kill Tayala, as it was done out of pure malice and had little tactical advantage.
Additionally, her being the killer can make great sense from a narrative perspective. A massive setup in Jedi Survivor is the revelation that Cere was helping an organization known as the Hidden Path, a refugee system for survivors of the Jedi Purge. At the end of the game, it's revealed that Tanalorr will be used as the Path's future base of operations. Now what Jedi has connections to the path besides Cere and Cal?
Obi-Wan Kenobi. At the end of his series he is seen comforting Reva and assuring her that she can build her own future from this point. However, this would be quite difficult with the Empire around. While they might think she's dead at the moment, this likely would not last. Reva is likely branded a fugitive by the Empire, and will be ruthlessly hunted. So what better way to keep her safe than by sending her to the Hidden Path?
It makes the most sense for her to join the Path now that she is on the path of redemption and needs refuge from the Empire's wrath, and she's in the perfect position to do it through Obi-Wan. This also helps the narrative as it would directly put her into contact with Cal and Kata in the future. A big part of the next installment is likely going to deal with Cal fighting his own darkness, and Kata will likely have a similar battle with her own demons. The next game will likely have another timeskip, ideally five years into the future to coincide with Rebels and Andor, as 5 BBY is when those shows start. Kata will be well into her teens by then, and possibly be training as a Jedi if she inherits her father's force sensitivity. It also makes sense that Reva would only show up around this point, as it will likely take a few years to connect the Hidden Path with Tanalorr. She could serve a great role in the story for both Cal and Kata. Obviously Kata will want to confront her over the death of her mother, and Cal could possibly see shades of Trilla in Reva, which might help to make him want to protect her, as he will be reminded of how he and Cere tried to redeem Trilla. He'll see Reva as a chance to fix his failures, by finally redeeming a fallen Jedi. He could never do it with Malicos, Trilla, Dagan, or Bode, and would likely want to do it now more than ever. This could serve as great story conflict between him and Kata. There's so much potential by including Reva in the story, both for her character and the development of our main protagonists. I'd also really like if she got redeemed and purified her crystals to be white, since Survivor also showed bleeding crystals to make them red. It would add to the lore and work on many thematic levels.
So out of all our known possible suspects, I think Reva makes the most sense and would have the most impact in the story, especially since her fate is unknown. If you read all the way through, I hope you enjoyed it.

When he arrived with his wife and son (who went to a local boarding school), they were so kind, and he said, 'Oh, I heard you’re my biggest fan, and that’s amazing because I don’t have fans — the cast always has fans!' I almost died. I gave them my favorite table, which they were thrilled with, and when he got up to leave, he left me an envelope with a pretty sweet bonus tip inside. I wasn’t usually tipped doing my work, so it wasn’t necessary, but it was so thoughtful and appreciated. All three were true gems. You’d never know he was famous or rich at all."

He said 'rules were made to be broken' and that he would stay and meet with everyone until they kicked him out. Not only was he incredibly sweet to me (literally introduced himself...so humble and posed for a goofy pic), but he seemed so genuinely kind to everyone there. Just amazing energy all around."
6. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "A friend and I visited my boyfriend while he was doing security at a jazz festival in Malibu. He told us Adam Sandler and his family had been there all day and tons of people took pictures with him. We ran back to the car to grab the digital camera, looked up, and saw Adam, his pregnant wife Jackie, and their toddler leaving. We went up to them. Adam was clearly done for the day, but his wife said, 'Honey, let me hold [toddler's name] and you can take a picture.' We handed him the camera and he took a selfie with us. Still have that picture on my fridge. Love the Sandman!"

Rob was stuck-up, never got to know the children or their parents, and always went straight to his dressing room. Also, the little girl in the movie was apparently a spoiled brat who threw tantrums and made them have to redo so many takes. I can see why Rob maybe didn't want to play with her, but the other kids were great!"

It was happy hour and the bar was packed. Someone spotted him and started chanting, 'JERRY, JERRY,' while he was about to walk up the stairs. He then came to the bar, ordered a $2 beer, walked through the entire bar, shook hands, and took pictures. When he finished the loop, he set the full beer on the bar and handed me $40. Regardless of his show, I will always think of him as a class act."

I stayed at the bar for a drink until he was on his way out (by this time the crowd had dispersed). Why does this even happen? I had full connection and I just downloaded a 4gb game with high speed internet before playing masterduel so the issue wasn't the internet. Fix your game Konami. What is this? I'm leaving a review on playstore and steam as well and would like if other people who also faced same problems send in reviews at playstore and steam. Also this issue has only popped up after the update so this is likely something going wrong on konami's end so everyone leave a review so they notice the issue and try to solve it.

Crutic felt the realspace reasserted itself with a faint lurch and a rattle of the spaceframe, the darkness behind his eyelids peeled away just in time to witness the streaks of light coalescing into a field of stars. And after that...nothing. Outside of the angry red glow of the indicator lightings around him and the graphics of the instrument cluster before him, he might as well be witnessing a portal into an infinite abyss so dark that his eyes may as well have remained shut. It wasn’t unexpected, though: the brief mission overview had made it abundantly clear that where his flight element was needed was among the interstellar void. The nearest star was nearly three parsecs away and was only called a star as a tribute to its fiery past - its photosphere likely offered its last gimmer millions of years ago. But it never mattered on how much prep was given, it was never a comfortable feeling to know that something is out there in the consuming absence. It was a small solace then, when his sensors chirped to indicate that it had achieved what the Human eye could not and found something out there within seconds. Before the modulated tone of his flight lead even made it through the constant hissing of the life support airflow, Crutic had his hands around the control yoke to disengage his TIE from the Gozanti’s docking tube.
“Target identified as a Ghtroc 720, range three-seventy kicks, armed. Form up to intercept and dissuade.”
The brisk affirmation from himself and Mynock Two and Four was almost drowned out by the whine from the engine as the four Imperial fighters screamed away from their transport and aligned themselves in a rough quadrilateral formation towards the sensor blip. It was drifting, sublights inactive and transponder silent, all in a valiant effort to blend into the interstellar background. But without jammers to further obscure their presence or a cloak to hide it completely, they were simply a something in a sea of nothing. And the moment the occupants realized this and that the Empire was there to do something about it, the engine arrays that flanked either side of the light freighter flared to life.
”Unidentified Ghtroc 720, you are in a restricted sector, return to designated Region 12 volume or face the consequence.”
Despite his attempt at civility, Mynock One and everyone present knew that this wasn’t an accidental drift into the gap between Region 12 and the edge of the greater galaxy; it was merely the latest instance of another group of beings from within that thought that they had the stealth necessary to break the region-wide lockdown. And with no change to their vector, it appeared that this particular group has the will to do a little more resisting. Crutic can’t help but consider a brief flicker of irony in that the energy spent into presently futile evasive flying would be better applied to their hyperdrive to make it to their next jump. As it is, either option would result in the TIEs landing shots on them, but at least the latter would be more…inconvenient for him and his immediate comrades in the long term.
The last warning was issued as the four fighters closed the last hundred kicks and this time a response came through in the form of a pair of crimson bolts fizzling through the formation. And at the same instant, Crutic Jo’ran retreated into the crevasse in the back of his mind and RG-273-76 took his place.
Safeties off. Targeting computer rendered an approximation of the freighter’s saucer shape upon the display. Align it with the crosshair. Target lock shrilled. Squeeze the trigger. Shields rippled violently as green energies hammered home.
Not good enough.
Check surrounding for teammates within immediate maneuvering vectors. Opening between Mynock One and Four. They peeled off after they had done their own run. Good. Pour in speed to gain distance.
Sounds of laser cannons from behind. Dodge. Stabilize as the rain of bolts trailed behind his flight path, too slow. Perform a sharp banking turn to bring the freighter back in front. Check for alignment to target. Sensor flagged a new relevant information: steep power draw on the hyperdrive module.
“Target almost ready to jump,” he notified into the comms, a practiced motion with a hand to divert power from the engines to the laser cannons.
Trigger down. Shields flashed but held. Tough gutkurr of a target, could do with a bomber’s warhead right about now. No time to linger on what is not available, focus on what is available now. Time for another run. Shields ate another strafe-
Mynock Two reports shield failure as explosion flared directly ahead in the profound blackness, revealing the viewport’s spoked features for the first time. Apply maximum deflection of etheric rudder to avoid the blast, clench against the inertia. Beads of molten metal showered the fighter chassis, but nothing to prompt damage notification.
A little too close for comfort, will have to talk to Two later.
Mynock Four snarled his own displeasure and reported his intent to break off due to damage sustained on his starboard radiator array. No time to worry about him, as long as the target is not disabled. Loop high over target, reacquire lock. Send down pelting fire across the freighter’s dorsal power conduit. Something exploded and their portside sunlight array wavered.
New target. Engine endured a respectable volley before belching out a blast of unfocused ionized particles with most of its glowing innards, submitting the starship into an uncontrolled yaw.
A sudden garble of noises filled his helmet as he directed his focus to the starboard engines, and before his thumb had a chance to render that to equally inoperable slag, a stilted Galactic Basic superimposed itself on top of the audio intrusion.
“Stop! Imperials, stop! We surrender!”
Crutic found himself sucking in a lungful of the stale, cool air as he recognized the Aqualish language and its translator assisted intentions. The rest of the Mynock flight also shared this moment of realization as they broke off from their attack vectors. Well, most of them anyway. At some point Mynock Four became a barely visible trail of titanium and quadanium steel. No life signs. Dank farrik.
”Ghtroc 720, power down immediately and stand by for boarding.” Mynock One’s voice had been level, but there was no denying that those benign words were layered with vitriol that preemptively silenced any kind of protest the other party might want to say. After a few satisfied seconds, the seething hatred dissipated as he changed frequency to the Gozanti to confirm that the onboard boarding party was prepared for the task.
Not long later, the frequency switched back to local and started with a deep sigh that Crutic could practically hear the muscles unclench itself. ”Mynock Flight, systems check.”
“Mynock Two, all systems nominal.”
”Mynock Three, likewise,” Crutic said, examining the reading his flight systems were offering him. Though, in the back of his mind, he could virtually hear the choice words picked by the maintenance team about the surface defects that were received during his near-miss of the explosion. At least he can point the blame to Two this time.
“Good, perform one last sensor sweep before redocking with the Deliverance and meet up at the main hold for debrief.”
A pair of affirmations later, the trio flowed over the crippled freighter at maximum sensor sweep to detect any kind of trap or other possible hindrances for the Gozanti boarding party. They also made sure to fly as uncomfortably close to the freighter as realistically plausible. Although the occupants surely wouldn’t see them, they will make sure they can hear them as loud as their aural sensors are willing to emulate, and hope that the distinctive howl of the twin ion engines resonate deep within the instinctive part of their psyche. The scans turned up nothing more than some dozen beings crammed in its cargo hold, and with that, they pulled back to give a wide berth to the docking Gozanti before connecting with it themselves. What happened next was out of their hands, they have an after action report to perform. With a layer of grief in their hearts.

While the return to Marjora Space was a transit that took only a matter of minutes, the sublight transit from the system’s edge to the Decadence was long enough to complete the debrief to an educational amount of detail, clean up, and prepare for the early departure. Under normal circumstances, it would have been a month or so more until the patrol rotation brought them back to the star destroyer low in Majora Prime’s atmosphere, but the recent development had details to iron out. Such as the prisoners they now have board that needed to go through processing - and if they looked like the stormtroopers were rougher with them than necessary, Crutic had chosen not to comment - and registering the loss of a member and securing their replacement. All of that meant at least a few days of shore leave.
At least, what actually constitutes a “shore leave” for the Imperials. It was anybody’s guess on how well the collective bulkhead of owned and affiliated starships, bases, and outposts have achieved a semblance of civilian life where enlisted and officers alike could loosen their mask of professionalism and indulge in a slice of greater society beyond their duty to the Imperial preservation and continuation. It was never intended to interfere with the military aspects and readiness, to be sure, but being surrounded slightly-different-walls and training bouts that might have been less about fitness and more about unspoken exchange of credits sets the scene for much needed stimulation to distract from the monotony of service. It was also an open secret that the galaxy’s assortment of liquid courage and other vile substances that Crutic would begrudge someone for partaking had slipped past regulation and formed an elusive enterprise that based themselves in various need-to-know locations. And the less said about the “flecks of inspiration” fresh from the Sapius Corp mines the better.
That being said, not all non-standard marketplace have to be so despicable, there were also demands from the more respectable members of society: the market for local goods. Ranging from simply a more comfortable clothing that could be worn under uniforms to prevent chafing to non-regulation but cozy blankets to keep warm during power rationing wherever one get stationed, or - one that Crutic is currently partaking in - foods that is used to supplement the stubborn mess droid’s nutritionally balanced but nonetheless dreary meals. Today was some kind of fried fish topped with a grated and pickled Marjora native seafloor tuber, courtesy of “The Shuttle Pilot” in the Decadence’s forward hangar’s armory. It wasn’t ba’buir Eres-Cruzia’s squirmer tiingilar that viciously strikes at the nose, but it was enough of a comfort food to dull the edges to a rough day.
A sigh brought back the reprimanding words of FS-273-4 - then, Mynock One - to the forefront of his mind. Yes, HG-273-81 - Mynock Two - shouldn’t have shot the target when there were friendly within the field of fire, but it was Crutic that blocked Mynock Four’s view of his projected flight path that costed him the necessary reaction time to recognize the explosion that crippled his craft and subsequently made him easy pickings for the freighter’s turret. It was an honest mistake, if a costly one. A life and an entire TIE fighter, the former a loyal member of the Empire and the latter an entire craft worth of irreplaceable components, gone to deep space. It wasn’t an uncommon occasion in the attrition against time, but missed all the same. With a sharp breath and an exertion of will, he suppressed the emotional baggage and sank into another crumbly bite to focus on its fishy, floral flavors that accompanied the textureless slurry of carbs and fiber methodically dispensed upon his metal platter.
Unable to keep it idle for long, his mind suggested the possibility of stopping by the star destroyer’s training facility, its spacious quality an allure to contrast against the cramped confines of the Gozantis. The notion was immediately dashed by a mouse droid that weaved through the forest of legs and beckoned for his attention. And with it came the news that his immediate future would be occupied by a debatably better use of his time. Downing the last of the vitamin enriched baked cuboid with a glass of water, he dismissed the droid and deposited the tray onto the outgoing conveyor on his way out of the mess hall. Helmet replaced securely on his head, he tackled the maze-like corridors and the necessary turbolifts at a brisk jog that eventually deposited him in front of the comms substation. The naval troopers guarding the room eyed him briefly before offering a nod of recognition and returning their bored stare at the opposite wall, implicitly granting him access to the inner workings.
With no combat situations or priority broadcast in effect to demand its full use, the ship’s comms served as a node that services a miniscule bandwidth to the greater galactic network. To the Imperial personnel with investment to the wider galaxy, it was a treasured peephole. It was monitored, of course, but it was a small price to pay for the privilege to be in touch with family and friends. Such as the case for Crutic. An exchange of relevant information to the comms operator later, a small monitor on the wall buzzed to life and resolved into a grainy image of a familiar woman that warmed something deep within his being.
”Su’cuy, buyca’kov,” she greeted, the sarcasm in her voice somehow making it through the heavy warping and choppiness of signal loss.
Crutic paused in his process of unraveling the layers of his persona for a second to grimaced slightly from what he considered to be an uncultured greeting; although the jab at the end served as a reminder that his helmet was still on, an issue he fixed immediately in one smooth motion.
“Hey, Lythsia, are ba’buire home?”
His half-sister took a few seconds to receive the message before shaking her head, assuming that’s what the poorly captured head blur would suggest. ”No, ba’buir Allisyr is out of business meeting down south ba’buir Eres is in the shop. It’s restock day.”
“It’s a miracle that you are at home at all!” Crutic offered a smile he reserved for a few beings in the entire Galaxy. While he had wanted to at least exchange pleasantries to his grandparents after a few long months, he is more than glad to share the time with his sibling.
“Oh, I could be elsewhere too if that’s what you prefer.”
“No, you’ll do,” he paused for a few seconds before speaking again, andt this time, his voice was grim, “how’re things out there?”
Lythsia gave an expression that’s hard to read through both the video’s low resolution and just the mix of emotions that fought for dominance in mere seconds. “If you mean the rebels, they are still focusing their efforts at Coruscant. We haven't really heard much about their interaction with the Governor after the demand for disarmament.”
“So you're holding up?”
“The ‘New Republic’ doesn’t bother my sector much. Shame, I got a backlog of datacard I’m fully willing to let someone ‘liberate’.”
Crutic could feel his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he shot a glance at the comm operator, who didn’t seem to take much notice about the details of the conversation. Of course, he has no reason to suspect his sister of treacherous thoughts as she is an alumni of SAGEducation, but it never hurts to be cautious against misinterpretations.
“Lythisa…”
”I know, I know, I shouldn’t joke about these things. But honestly? I don't know how long it would hold out. The talking heads up top don’t give a gundark’s sheb about who taxes them at the end of the day. And our government is too worried about the lack of star destroyers to correct that.”
Crutic sighed and scratched at his hair, untangling a few helmet-induced knots along the way. It seems like that was a trend that would progressively get worse as the years went by. Not that he can do anything about it, he has an obligation here in Region 12, and it’s entirely up to the whims of Admiral Jaquinn - and Governor Ryehall above him - to see if they plan to do anything about the anarchy going on in the galaxy.
“Well, anything good happen since we last spoke?”
Lythisa thought for a long moment - or the video feed froze, hard to say - before she shrugged. ”Team Uviuy made it through the preliminary in Galactic Cup, there’s that.”
A light chuckle escaped his lips at the new topic. As far as good news goes, it was quite low bar but he could at least appreciate the effort to ease the tension. He chose to latch onto it. “Think they will make it to at least the Semi-Finals?”
“Only if Team Fondor gets disqualified.”
“So that’s a no.”
”Last time Uviuy even got close to the podium, the Unknown Regions was still being charted.”
Crutic offered a puzzled expression at what appeared to be a trivia, given that the subject referenced was self-defining. “It still is-”
”Exactly,” Lythsia face was smug.
The conversations continued amicably, delving onwards from sport recaps to a prod at Lythsia's quest for romance and the subsequent defense of her character by criticizing her now-former-partners despite him having never met them, which naturally lead her to remind him that he should be more worried about his own lack of engagements. And inevitably brought the focus back on his activities for the last few months that wasn't obscured by confidentiality.
But far too soon, a movement by the doorway signaled that his allotted time had ran out. The monitor blacked with his sister's parting words, leaving behind a pang of wistful homesickness to swirl in his mind, as it always tended to do after such a session. And as he has done before and will do in the coming times, he took a moment to regained his composure. A process where vulnerability abdicate its role to the facade that grew away from the tender care. One of arrogance, pride, and ruthlessness; but also one of conviction, determination, and intensity. One of an Imperial pilot. As the helmet consumed his head, his soul stilled and he stepped forth down the grey halls with renewed resolve.

So, with this campaign coming to an end, I guess I wanted to share a story from how it all started, I am the DM and this campaign was set in the Zelda universe, which is semi-important to things, and this was being ran in 3.5 with me being pretty lax on rules, just wanting to make sure the players had fun. The party was, Garo Sorcerer, Shiekah Artificer, Yiga Swordsage, Twili Cleric and then the Tiger. I will use their races or classes to refer to them, and the Tiger will be the Tiger, it is what we refer to the player as to this day when he comes up when recalling the start of the campaign.

Now as it started, he was SET on being like Link from Twilight Princess, but wanted to also be Ganondorf. Now I had work some ways to work around that. Made him a male gerudo from Termina who got sent to the main setting, and he was dead set on the whole animal thing, so I relented and offered him the Lycan racial template, he refused it and showed me the Weretiger, and stupidly high LA template that just wouldn't work, he'd be too powerful and then fall off mid game hard as those things tended to do since I'd be forcing level buy out. Spend a few days trying to help him make it work, offering other ways, flavoring things, pointing him in every direction I could that wasn't THIS. I knew what the other party members were bringing, a single Tome of Battle class, Swordsage, would out shine anything he really could bring since in the end, the only way I allowed the Weretiger template was with the class version of it, much to his dismay.

Something the players learned was, I work a lot, sometimes 50+ hours a week at the time, so I wasn't always around to answer their questions, but my personal friends, the Garo and the Yiga knew my general rulings and advice on things or could reach out to me. Now because of me working so often, the Tiger would ask people to hang out in a discord call with him and just talk, which I thought was great, meant the players might get along since the Twili and Shiekah were also friends outside of this. Now he comes to me and lets me know the Garo player had agreed to a joint back story, since they were both from Termina which was fine. He then explained that they had come to the agreement that they wanted it to be romantic, which was odd but fine with me. Myself and the Garo had been friends for a few years at this point and had just naturally started to date at one point before I started to run, even now we don't make it a big deal in games, but I didn't mind if players wanted to have romantic plots in the game if both parties were fine with it. Now here comes the first fun part, sorry it took so long! He wanted his character to be a 40+ year old man, the Garo had told me she wanted to play an oprhan raised by people from the milk bar, basically a tiddy bar in this setting as many old school brothels use to do which was fine, and wanted to be a young adult at 18. Now how the Tiger described the moment of love being "Love at first sight" was fine if he wasn't also cursed to be a Tiger for the last 10 years of his life or so. This would've meant he had to have seen the Garo when they were a child, I point this out and he then tries to force the Garo to play an older character but they refused. I later was talking to the Garo about this while we played games only to find out, they never agreed to this romantic back story, and had no input on the joint back story.

Now, once the Garo ship had set sail without him, the Tiger turned his eye to the Twili with the, oh so 'smooth' lines such as, "I can be your Link, and you can ride on my back" though the entire time in character he was a TIGER WHO COULDN'T TALK AS WERE HIS OWN WISHES. So he just did awkward cat things. Which made most of the other players not want to interact with him. Now the party goes into a fight that the Artificer was given time and money to prep for, just needed time in the fight. The Yiga goes off alone and 1v4s some monsters while the rest of the party struggles against 3 monsters. The Tiger proceeds to freak out, explaining how f'd they are. How the Yiga is setting things on fire just to stay alive when he's trying to control the fight by caging in monsters with fire to keep them from retreating to their allies. Playing smart in my opinion. And this is where it begins, his weird one sided rivalry with the Swordsage which he'd never manage to keep up with by nature of their two different builds.He begins to mention how his Cavalier in some other game could one shot everyone in his party and this party. No on really cares. But then during one loot rolling moments, the party gets a Scroll of Remove curse and use it. Tiger is a man, no one really cares, Tiger has a mental break down about losing his character, but now that he can talk, the party interacts with him a bit more, he then drops the never forgettable line of, "Hey, Twili, do you lay eggs?" And everyone loses it. Now at one point the party for one reason or another talks about their character's sexuality, Twili was AroAce, and the party for the most part thinking about agreed most of their characters were to some extent, Ace...except the Garo she was full on pansexual. The tiger now jumps on the boat, after trying to get his character into both female party member's pants, "Yeah I'm totally ace too! Just like you Twili!" which I just had to mute myself and die of laughter for, now the note so far, no Player has complained to me, so I thought they were all fine with this.

Sooner or later, the Tiger begins to argue with me over something, at this point due to back story reasons, the Garo had to give up their character and came in with a Kokiri. But as the Tiger continued to argue over and over, even out of the game while I was either at work or at home relaxing. I also had personal stuff I was going through that probably impacted my short temper here. I kicked the Tiger and then suddenly every player came out with horror stories of him and what he said during the calls he'd be in with them while I was away. Most of that is personal stuff for them so I wont be sharing it, but I told them all I wish that they told me earlier and I would've dealt with it all then.

TL;DR: Man wants to be different, plays an animal, gets some weird rival complex with another player, and wants to sleep and be romantic with every female character, no one complains about him till after he is kicked because his ego goes unchecked too long.

Hi 29 year old (F) here. I'm a college grad with an English degree, got married to a wonderful guy recently, but at the current moment I feel like my life hasn't been fulfilling. I never truly figured out what I wanted to do career during or after college. I just kind of went with the flow of things. I knew I needed a job in general to survive so I started in retail at my college book store. I tried getting career help at school but the services didn't seem like they wanted to help me if I didn't have a resume or if I wasn't going to be a teacher like most English majors at my college. I graduated, but English wasn't what I wanted to do, just something I knew I was good at. By the time I realized it wasn't what I wanted, I was already being the end of my junior year. I felt like it was too late to turn around so I just graduated with it and made the dean's list but I wasn't happy about it. So from there I've been in and out of different retail jobs and just sworn in as a notary today (just at my job, nothing individual outside of that). But as I sat down and thought about things, I realized it's been 10 years since I started college and I haven't thought of any specific careers that speak to me. I know they say you won't have it all figured out by 30 but I feel like 10 years is a good chunk of life. I obviously don't want to be a couch potato for the rest of my life, or be a stay at home mom because I don't want all the pressure on my husband. But I know I don't want to be in retail the rest of my life either. It's a draining industry that just keeps getting worse. I used to be very social, but as I worked more and more it just makes me not want to deal with people at all both coworkers and customers alike. My current job is nice and I finally have a coworker that actually is putting in effort everyday when they come in which is really nice since the former ones could care less. But in any case, does anyone have any advice they could give?

In light of recent of events I've been seeing a lot of people reacting to the most recent chapter and expressing a lot of hype and anticipation for the Imu as the series' big bad and final villain. And It was definitely a crazy chapter but I actually think Oda has made it abundantly clear that Imu will not be the final villain and that it will in fact be Marshall D. Teach himself.
It's always seemed pretty obvious to me and many others that Blackbeard was being set up as the end of series threat as him and Luffy are polar opposites and the same can be said for their respective crews. And beyond that Blackbeard stood out for being the only man to eat 2 fruits leading many theorize that he might even get a 3rd one.

He can eat 2 fruits and never sleeps, what is he?
But with the introduction of Imu things got a little muddled. And I get it, Imu is the King of the World and the reason the One Piece verse is in the state it's in and defeating him would mean freeing the world and ending the 800 years of oppression. And this is all true, but Imu's character while being the world villain is not the MAIN villain of One Piece as it is the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his journey to becoming the greatest pirate in history and stepping into his role as the man to usher in the dawn of the new world. And the key antagonist in that Narrative is Blackbeard.
Oda's Original Plan
Let's start from the beginning, Oda originally intended for One Piece to be a story about Luffy fighting the Yonko and being wrapped up in about 5 years, but he created the Warlords and that greatly lengthened the serialization of the story. But if you notice, in this comment Oda NEVER says that his original plan for the story changed, just that the the story got longer. Blackbeard is undoubtedly Luffy's ultimate Pirate threat and as a Yonko who is set up to be the man to take down Shanks it makes sense to say that if Oda views the story of One Piece as a story about fighting the Yonko surely the best of them would be the main villain, no?

Some people won't really be convinced by this as a lot of you find Oda's statements to be highly dubious so I'm gonna piggyback of something I mentioned in the last paragraph, Shanks. Shanks is a pivotal character in One Piece as he is the one who inspired Luffy to become a pirate in the first place and has several connections to many big name pirates in the past and present. But unfortunately, Oda is setting him up to fall at the hand of Blackbeard.

This is one example, but without exception, every single volume cover Shanks has appeared on has also featured Blackbeard
Oda has been deliberate in setting up the connection between these two with Shanks getting his scar not from Mihawk or Kaido but Blackbeard. And we know in the world of One Piece are important and create a complex intrinsic bond between 2.
Blackbeard's true power
But Shanks doesn't simply have a grudge with Blackbeard over his wound, he views Blackbeard as a serious issue, going as to far as to warn Whitebeard as the true threat Blackbeard posed to not just him, but the whole world.
Shanks knew what was coming but no one listened.
Shanks even commented on Blackbeard not being in Wano as he had wrongly assumed Blackbeard would be drawn there. Meaning Shanks is on the move trying to intercept him. And i'd even go a bit further and theorize that the Pirate Shanks wanted to discuss with the Gorosei wasn't Luffy, but Blackbeard himself. The subject matter of the conversation is anyone's guess bit if i had to I'd say that he is trying to warn them in the same way he tried to warn Whitebeard.
Who is he talking about?
With all this in mind we take into account that Blackbeard and Shanks are in the running for the One Piece too, and interestingly both them just got a big leap from Kidd and Law, so even outside of what was posted they are on a collision course I just posted, and love him or hate him Blackbeard will prevail over Shanks and might even kill him. This would be a big blow to the verse, but most importantly it'd be a big blow to Luffy. Seeing his hero and friend be defeated by the same man who played a role in his brother's death and killed Whitebeard would make Luffy hate Blackbeard more than anyone.

Not yet, Not Yet
And on the subject of Marineford I always viewed Blackbeard as the main villain of that Saga. Not Akainu, not Magellan either but Blackbeard. Think about it, he started the Summit War, he freed the prisoners at Impel Down and ended up getting the biggest come up after the events of the war. Shocking the world and ending the era of Whitebeard. And I believe the post skip parallels the pre-skip, so if Blackbeard is the main villain at the midpoint, the end of the series he will be the villain again and finally get his comeuppance.

The Key was Blackbeard
Now let's get into that, the idea of Luffy and Blackbeard as enemies. Now on the surface there's alot that puts these 2 against each other. The first chapter where Blackbeard is introduced perfectly sets up how Luffy and Blackbeard are very different but also similar, both are D's and it's clear that Blackbeard's crew is a preverse reflection of Luffy's. But let's go beneath the surface and we'll find that the 2 contrast each other more, especially now that we know the true nature of Luffy's fruit.

Luffy in his true form is the sun god Nika bathed in white. Teach however is a man who wields the power of darkness itself and is known and feared as BLACKbeard, Nika's power allows him to free himself completely and this concept is represented as the sun. Blackbeard's ability restricts and even robs other's of their abilities with the supreme gravity of his black holes. Blackholes are collpaed stars I might add, and What is the sun I ask you? A star.

The Stuff of Legends
Don't you guys think it's interesting that Blackbeard directly refers to Ace's ability as the sun? Not fire, flame, or even light but the SUN. I think this was Oda being cheeky and foreshadow the ultimate conflict. Another interesting piece of Info is Blackbeard's association with the moon, this factoid further proves that Blackbeard is the literal antithesis of Luffy on a molecular level.

Oda has put a lot of stock into making Blackbeard the perfect counter for Luffy, having him built in the story since Drum Island but the subject of Imu might throw a wrench into all this to the uninitiated. But the opposite is true. Imu is the King fo the world, the shadow ruler who reigns above all, and that makes him Blackbeard's number one enemy, even beyond Luffy. In terms of goals anyway.
The idea that Luffy fights Blackbeard at Raftel and finds the One Piece starting the final war never made sense to me because there is now ay Oda is going to eliminate Blackbeard from the story have him miss the throne war.
People might not realize this, But Blackbeard is a D as well, and he will have a role to play in the events surrounding the end of the story. And on the subject of the D, Let's talk about Xebec and Blackbeard's true ambition.

The Strongest
Blackbeard's predecessor
Rocks D Xebec had the ambition to be the King of the world and was a force so powerful that the marines, pirates and the celestial dragons had to work together to best him. This is relevant to Blackbeard be he is most likely inheriting Xebecs will as there are several connections between the 2 pirates. One Blackbeard has made his new base of operations Hachinosu, the former stronghold of Xebec and his ship is even known as the "Saber of Xebec." This makes me think that he is carrying the will of Xebec and is essentially his 2nd coming and will be much worse.
We recently learned that Blackbeard wants to be King, so imagine when knowledge that of Imu's existence is made public, he will WANT what Xebec wanted and sit upon the empty throne. Only thing is he'll come a lot closer than Rocks ever did.

Note that Blackbeard's hobby is Archaeology. Meaning he has a desire to learn the secrets of the world.
Blackbeard is ignorant to alot right now, but when he learns the truth he will be inflamed as we see multiple times through the story new information has caused Blackbeard to change his trajectory and let his ambition run wild.
The 3 who have Imu's attention
Factoring in Blackbeard's desire to sit at the top, Imu himself has shown an express interest in Blackbeard as we see that off the mutilated wanted posters he had in his garden, Blackbeard was among them. Not Dragon, Not Law, Not Kaido, Not Big Mom, BUT BLACKBEARD. Imu sees him and Luffy as his principal threats alongside a literal ancient weapon. So the people thinking Blackbeard a guy who has ambition to take Imu's spot and is actually living rent free in his head will be defeated BEFORE the final war you're kidding yourself.
No, Blackbeard and Luffy will both participate and BOTH will play a hand in Imu's defeat. Not team up, but their actions will effect and help each other inadvertently as they always have. Imu is scared of the D and is grateful that they don't know the true meaning of their birthright, but like Law said the D shall cause a storm. Luffy will play the biggest part but the other D's are also guaranteed to have their own roles in the displacement of the old world order.
Imu will fall and the dawn will be ushered in, but like the saying goes the night is always darkest before the dawn. Luffy will have to settle things with Blackbeard once and for all to stop him from ushering in a new age of darkness and finally prove that Teach was in fact not the man Roger was waiting for.
There's many more things I could add or touch upon from the story and outside of it that shows Oda's intentions for Blackbeard's character but I think i've made my point.
