My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year, things have gone well. Years ago, I tore my ACL and needed surgery, and it sucked and still occasionally bothers me. Recently my boyfriend and I went for a hike and my knee started acting up on me, so I hobbled a bit. My boyfriend, who did not know about my old injury, said “almost there, grandma!” He sounded very playful but I was hurt and offended by his comment. When we made it to the end of the trail, I told him that I know we joke a lot, and that he probably meant well, but i don’t want to tease each other and don’t like sarcastic comments about me, and that his comment about calling me grandma hurt me because I was sensitive about my old injury. He can be light and jokey frequently, so I said that i know that’s how he acts with his friends, but told him to please don’t do that with me.

Application received at Locator 74 (Atlanta) on 3/22 for a minor passport (my son). Trip planned for 6/10. I did not expedite, which was a huge mistake on my part, but lesson learned.
Called two weeks out (actually, two weeks and one day - I fudged the departure date by one day when asked), and gave my credit card info for expedited service and two-day delivery. I was never charged for either. I also contacted my US House Rep (Rich McCormick) - they were able to mark it as urgent, and asked me not to contact them. They'd let me know if they knew anything.
10 days from departure date - emailed McCormick's office, asking for an in-person appointment. They said the only one available in Atlanta was two days after our departure.
8 days from departure date - while on hold with the passport office, hoping for an in-person appointment, I emailed McCormick's office again, asking about last minute cancellations. She emailed me back right away, offering an appointment at 8 am, day before departure. So bugging them does help! (I did submit a query to my Senator's office, but never heard back, probably because they asked if I was using another office, and I told them I was.)
7 days before departure date! Status changes to shipped, arriving sometime around 6/10 (our departure date). Tracking number says that label was not created yet. It says that every day until this morning (5 days before departure date), when it changed to pre-shipping info sent to UPS, awaiting item. And then it was delivered this morning, UPS one night delivery. (It was in two envelopes, actually - Priority, and then put into the UPS one night envelope).
I never received any email updates, fyi. And it was hugely frustrating for the tracking number not to work, but having an appointment already allowed some relief, because I knew we could get a same day passport. I never called to ask whether they would give me a same day passport if one was en route, mainly cause I didn't want to wait on hold, so we sort of lucked out that the passport showed up when it did.

Yesterday i was harassed in the parking lot by one of the goodwill employees. after i bought my stuff i walked to my car and he was taking photos of my car and me. so i got out and asked him what he was doing and he got aggressive and in my face. he was yelling and shaking, so angry and for no reason. it was super scary and i’ve never had a grown man get in my face and yell like that. it was just a frightening and confusing experience. i wanted to alert someone at goodwill because clearly hes unstable and unsafe if he’s photographing and screaming at girls in parking lots. goodwill didn’t answer my call or message. mind you, i had done nothing wrong, i had actually just spent a lot of money there and was walking back to my car with my bag. but don’t think i can come back to that location now which i’m sad about. is there anywhere else to file some sort of complaint or like a form? i don’t know how to get in touch with them without going back there.

I know all jobs are different but I notice I’ve been wake and baking before work and I’ve sorta enjoyed it. I work for a call center so it’s people yelling about how they can’t pay their bill or why it’s high I use to think smoking before work was sorta a waste of a high but with my job I sorta learned to enjoy it. I’ll smoke a bowl or two usually 15-30 minutes prior my shift I’ll have a video or some music in the back while drinking my protein shake/coffee then I get started with taking calls. I notice the day DRAGS which is why I don’t smoke throughout the day but I notice once I’m 4 hours into my shift I just sorta take it by the hr and I finish the day! :) I just wanted to share my wake and bake/work experience. I know for everyone it’s different but I envy the non-remote working stoners for being able to even get to work on time while they’re stoned 💪

To make a long story short, my girlfriend put on some weight in the 2 years we've been together (like 60 pounds) and I don't think I'm attracted to her anymore. Shes always been chunky, and I loved it. But it's different now. She makes it worse when she tries to play it off like a joke and sticks her belly out and says "I look pregnant" but I don't find it funny. I just feel like her way of playing it off and laughing at her increased size makes me see it more often and more exaggerated, which in turn makes it worse for me.
Shes very self conscious about her appearance, so when she asks "can you see a difference in my size" (in regards to her gaining weight) I feel like if I say yes, she'll have a break down and get incredibly upset, sparking a very uncomfortable conversation with a lot of tears and hurt feelings. So what am I supposed to do?
A result of all this is that we stopped having sex. Which has caused several issues between us. So how should I handle this? What do I say, what do I do?
PS - please don't call me a fat shamer or shallow or anything along those lines. I say it to myself all the time and I feel HORRIBLE for thinking and feeling this way about her. So if that's what you want to call me, save your energy. I already have it covered.

I came out as trans mtf around 4-5 years ago I'm a month+on HRT and i wonder is my experience closer then i thought to the one of NBs? I'll reiterate a bunch of points NBs told me that i thought too before or strongly agreed after discovering it. I never understood gender i feelt comfortable with any pronouns other then he/him and i remember me thinking as a young child "i wish gender didn't exist/i wish i were a(insert animal) because the gender doesn't matter" but i never used they/them just because it's so much harder to explain to cis hetros.

I definitely want to pursue this since it's been a personal goal to get a master's degree before I turn 30.

This past Friday, I had a job interview with two different places, let's call it job A and job B. I got both job offers after my interview, and I told each of them that I would give them an answer in a few days. I made my decision to go with job B. I went with job B, and during the interview she said the best way to contact her was through email, so I emailed her on Sunday telling her I wanted to accept the job offer, and that the earliest I could start working was on Tuesday. After not hearing back from her for a day, I emailed her again on Monday (yesterday) just because I wanted to 1) Confirm with her and 2) I needed to contact job A and let them know in a timely manner that I was going to take another job offer. I tried to not sound pushy or impatient in the email..just said I was looking forward to hearing from her. It is now Tuesday and I haven't heard back from her yet..I'm not sure if this is normal, I'm only 21 so I haven't had many jobs yet, and she could definitely be busy. But I feel like most people would have replied by now. I'm unsure of what to do because now I am starting to doubt that I made the right decision and doubt that she will get back to me, and I haven't called and turned down job A yet, so that is still on the table. Should I go there in person today? Maybe this morning? Would that be too much? Send another email? I just need a definite answer is all, and I don't want to keep job A hanging. I also don't want to lose my offer for Job A if Job B ends up not working out. Sorry if it's kinda lengthy, being concise is not my strong suite haha but any advice is much appreciated!! <3

Hi!
I play cities skylines on my ps4 and yesterday I started a new city and played for several hours. But today when I was going to continue playing it says:
“Incompatible save version detected. Required DLC packs (Pearls from the east and Content Creator pack: modern city center) are missing”
I haven’t bought any of these dlc packs before, so how is there dlc buildings in my city? I can see a dlc building from “pearls from the east” on the “thumbnail” of my city, but how was I able to place that in my city if I don’t have that dlc?!
It feels kinda like a scam where I have to buy these packs if I want my city back…
I tried buying the “Pears from the east” pack because it was free, but is still says I don’t have it…
I’d hate for all my progress to be gone, is there any way to fix this?

Is there a checklist for me to look at so I can identify the problem and figure out how to help her? It breaks my heart to watch her walk 10 slow, painful steps then just lay down in the middle of the yard and making calls for the other chicken to keep her company (which the other chicken ruthlessly ignores 😣).

With the recent polarization between Republicans and Democrats associated with the LGBT community, have we brought some of it on ourselves?
I get it, there was no one there for us, when we were discovering who we are (while they could be themselves from the start). Or more likely, when someone else discovered who we were first and let us know in a negative way. But as we investigated ourselves, some of us found more niche classifications, and while those were great for the individual - having the average person understand what sapiosexual is in a casual context seems absurd (random example, no hate). Like, I feel like we’ve put such an emphasis on sexuality, that it’s caused more problems. And naturally, there is a middle ground. But I don’t know if the people who are causing or affected by the problem, could identify the middle ground because of how far from a solution with purposefully gone.
Someone please respectfully educate me on this, because I don’t know if it’s my own community that has handled the issue wrong, or if it’s the external community that is created mountains out of molehills under the guise of safety and so-called religious freedom. The conversations I am seeing now are worse than the gay marriage conversations I saw growing up. It feels dangerous. It feels dangerous to love the Man I want to.

I started at Amazon in December of 2020 as a seasonal associate Coming from a different country, I didn't know much English, but I learned as I went along. It was a small warehouse, not like a big fulfillment center which helped me to learn things fast. Safety was a joke there lol.
I became a Problem Solver, and then a full-time blue badge associate. I was doing good, so they made me a Process Guide (PG), and then, in less than 8 months, I got promoted to Process Assistant (PA). My original plan was to go into Information Technology (IT), but when the PA opportunity came up, I took it.
I had a great Operations Manager who was also new to Amazon, he started when I did. We built an amazing team with another Area Manager. We worked hard and tried to make it fun. We knew that people were important, not just the numbers so we focus a lot on safety and improving things that were working. But then, my team fell apart and I didn't have the same energy to start over again. That's when a new Operations Manager came in and the fun with this amazing but shitty company started.
This new guy stepped on everything I did and wanted to do it his way. He only cared about the numbers. I tried to help him, but he was rude and racist. I'm Latino, and I could feel the racism. I decided to just keep going to work for my paycheck.
Meanwhile, I used Amazon's career choice to get free education in IT and also got some certificates. When I tried to move into IT within the same company, I failed the interview. They had the audacity to even say I didn't show up for the interview, even though I had proof I did. I decided to take a break for 3 weeks to look after my mental health.
When I came back, I found that the new manager had changed things. He brought in a new PA from his old site, took away my department, and moved me to Sortation. I was okay with it, because I knew the whole warehouse. I asked a transfer to another shift also to another warehouse near my area but got denied and from there on things got worse, I felt they put a target on my back and I got suspended over something dumb. That night when I got home, I started looking for other jobs.
I knew they were going to fire me, and 3 weeks later they did. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. I wish I had quit sooner.
Now, I have a new job in the IT field, which is what I wanted in the first place. I don't have to work long night shifts anymore and my life is much better.
I just want to say, if you're in a job where they don't value you, get out. Cash in and out. Take what you've learned and find something better.
If you're reading this and are struggling, keep pushing through. I hope you find a better job soon.
