Situation: I make $23/hour 40 hours per week After child support I make $16,000/year (this is under the federal poverty line right?) I've lost medicaid because they calculate based on gross instead of net I cannot afford health insurance through work Student loans are getting unpaused..
Does student loan income-based repayments calculate before or after they take child support out of me? If they calculate it before, well then they assume I have money that I do not.. I already cannot get healthcare.. I think I ruptured my fucking appendix like 3 weeks ago.. I live in a trailer.. I can't afford a used car because of my credit. a 1 bedroom apartment is too expensive.
If they calculate loan repayments based on my net, then I should be ok (until my appendix kills me.. but this is america, can't expect too much)
I was working for the public schools for three years but they fired me when I told them I can't afford a car anymore. Now I might lose my WFH job because I'm begging HR to find a way to give me health insurance.

Hi everyone! My mom owns an apartment in NYC and has lived there for 20+ years. She is friendly with most of her neighbors, and she has never had any issues... until someone new moved into an apartment below her. The first time police showed up to her apartment was at 11PM the day before Thanksgiving last year for "loud banging sounds" (we were in bed when they showed up). Since then, the police have showed up 5+ more times with varying sympathy towards mom or her downstairs neighbor. Once, they showed up while mom was drinking tea and eating cookies with a friend, and she is now in a cast from leg surgery... and the police keep showing up. The complaints are all about excessive noise. The neighbor has taken to banging on the ceiling whenever she walks around.
He wrote an official complaint to the building board. The building board tried to get access to her apartment to take pictures to ensure she has the correct ratio of floorug space, but she refused. My mom has gotten another rug for the bedroom to cover her bases.
She's called the non-emergency police line a couple of times to file her own complaints. She also went to the precinct to get more information, but the person in charge said she can't file a harassment claim as nothing physical/verbal has occurred in person between them. She has started recording the date/time when the police come, along with the officers' names.
The police don't seem to be much help. Is he allowed to just keep calling the police about this? Do we have to get a lawyer? My mom doesn't have much free time outside of work, and she is hesitant to have to pay for a lawyer. Other extenuating circumstances have made this just... unbearable. Any help is appreciated.

Context I (26M) love my parents unconditionally, maybe this isn’t the place for me. Maybe my shit is just concocted in oldest sibling problems, not really sure figured I’d post on here on a throwaway. My dad who we’ll just call D is the youngest child of 4. From all I know my dad had a very “old-school” raising and my grandfather was ex-military, my dad is still close with his eldest sister but both other siblings he’s had fallings out with. In the defence of him I can vouch that she is more the issue than anything from what I can see. The issues with his brother far far predate myself. As I’ve said I do think my parents are stellar and maybe this isn’t the subreddit for myself but we’ll go into some of the issues from here.
I’m the eldest of three, I wouldn’t say I’m the smartest guy out there but I’m a good bit away from the dumbest. I guess my issues start back to elementary school, I vividly remember every report card season like clock work C’s for the most part across the board, lots of comments saying. “Could do better doesn’t apply himself”-ish. In these moments my father would snap his chain so to speak and it’d be a barrage over and over, I’m an idiot. I’m the “garbage man” (a constant term of his). I recall being no more then 12 and I had something go shitty (maybe school maybe sports) and I remember sitting upstairs and hearing my dad shouted at my mother “you wouldn’t get it (my mother is an only child) every family has a black sheep. For mine it was B (my fathers brother) for us it’s, me… it was me.
I can tell you the exact spot when I was 10 years old my father told me I wasn’t going to make it to the NHL (Canadian) yet on my last trip home (I live 16hrs away now) that if he we’re a couple inches taller, he’d be in the NHL as I stare at his collection of custom goalie helmets that our dad paid for him to have when I simply just wasn’t allowed to be a goalie.
I’ve tried to covey on several different occasions over the years to my parents their preferential treatment of my younger siblings to I (25F) (22M) but most come with yeah, but they did this. You didn’t do this, an example would be where I live now (different side of province to them) I was never given a vehicle, during my university career I had a bus ticket so I didn’t need a car unlike my two siblings whom also got bus tickets through their uni student fees. But for all of COVID while I walked through -30 weather to attend work to pay rent, my siblings lived at home and were given cars to use at their leisure, I can recognize that’s just a product of staying near home. But now as I sit here writing this I’ve been in my new city, home for all purposes and my parents have yet to come here as I approach a decade in this city. Yet they plan their Rivera trips hoping that my brother goes and plays pro hockey in Italy.
I love my parents, they’ve allowed me and pushed me far out of my comfort zone and given me so much but yet. It eats away at me to know I’m the least, I’m the black sheep, they just give less of a F about this one.

In August this year I'm taking on a documentary-style project, which is something I've never done before. The documentary will follow a 17 year old who's going to be the first person to circumnavigate the UK in an electric boat. The agreement is that I get allocated a budget of around £5000, to purchase or rent the equipment, and in return I can then use that equipment to film a narrative short I have planned for after the documentary. I've put together a kit list that fits the budget that needs to be purchased in the next few weeks. The main bits of the kit are:

• Blackmagic Pocket 6k Pro
• Canon 16-35mm (with IS)
• Canon 24-70mm f4 (with IS)
• Meike 35mm Cine lens
• Tilta cage, follow focus and accessories
• DJI RS3 Pro
• Enough NPF batteries to power a small country
• DJI Mavic 2 Pro

(Items in bold italics are already owned)
At first glance, this list may look like I've selected completely inappropriate gear, but I'm trying to produce a high-quality 'Netflix Style' documentary. Not included in the budget is also several GoPros and a DJI Mini 3 Pro to be taken by the crew on the boat. (Idiot proof). I will only be with the boat for small portions of the journey at a time, with the main equipment, as well as detailing the start and finish events, and mixing this with interviews done after the event. In all honesty the reason I'm using The Pocket 6K Pro instead of something like an a7Siii, is that for the price it delivers cinematic (I hate that word) quality like nothing else, and I'd love to use it for my narrative film afterwards. The money won't cover an a7s and seeing as being able to use the equipment is my only payment for this job, in return for 100+ hours work, it seems only fair I pick a camera I'd like to use, but that would still adequately suit both jobs.
Anyway, I've just finished a meeting with a really patronising guy (a friend of one of the marketing team for the event), who's apparently been in the industry for 60+ years and has done work for big clients (although he didn't say who if any). He told me that all the kit was significantly inappropriate and "If you (me) use that kit you'll fail." - great words to an aspirational youth like myself.
He told the boat team that they would be better off using 2 GoPro 11s and a Sony ZV-1. It seems we have completely different visions in our heads, as this setup definitely won't capture the footage, and look that I'm going for. I kinda get where he's coming from - the camera isn't weather sealed, doesn't have IBIS, or autofocus. His main argument was the the gimbal is overkill and the footage will be shaky due to the lack of IBIS. Here's my response: I won't be using the camera in rough conditions, will have a rain cover, most of the footage will be captured from shore or from a bigger boat anyway, the lenses have internal stabilisation etc...
So I guess what I'm asking is should I take his words, and use a ZV-1 and action camera to film my cinematic masterpiece? If any less obnoxious people have ideas/advice either for or against using this setup I'd be really grateful.

I'm not really sure where to begin, but I do know that I need some advice....
So, it all started with a sticky note. First it was one... Then two... and now I've got a whole drawer full of them. Maybe I should give you a little background information. I moved into my first apartment about a month ago. It wasn't anything special, but it was mine. I noticed the first sticky note when I was stocking up my refrigerator with the copious amounts of Chinese takeout I'd ordered for the night. I was tired after all the unpacking and decided to just order a little bit of everything. I don't know how long the sticky note had been on my fridge before I noticed it, but midway through putting my egg rolls in there, I noticed a plain yellow note with one simple word scrawled across it in thick black ink.
"Welcome."
I glanced at it and didn't pay it very much mind. It was midnight at this point and then only thing I really wanted to think about was getting into bed. Honestly, I figured it was either a note from the previous tenant or the landlord. Crumpling it within the palm of my hand, I discarded it and headed off to bed. The next morning when I stumbled into the kitchen though… There was another one.
“Hi there.”
A look of complete and utter confusion was plastered across my face. Frantically, I ripped it into shreds and shoved it into the trash. I know I hadn’t heard anyone come into my apartment any time during the night. I’m usually a very light sleeper. There’s no way anyone could have snuck in without me noticing. Then again, I was exhausted that night... So maybe? The next night I laid in bed and stared at the ceiling for hours waiting to hear the sound of the front door creaking open. I never heard a single thing, and before I knew it, I’d dozed off. The next morning, I crept into the kitchen expecting to see another note. The second I rounded the corner though, a nervous giggle bubbled from my lips and I sighed a breath of relief when there was no sticky note on my fridge. I thought I was just scaring myself. It must have been there with the one from the night before and I just hadn't noticed it? Making a beeline to the bathroom, I hurriedly began to get myself ready for the day. Since I’d stayed up so late, I slept in a little later than usual. Squeezing some toothpaste onto my toothbrush I lifted it to my mouth and immediately dropped it into the sink when I noticed something stuck to my mirror.
“You look beautiful today.”
Chills raced over my arms and it took all I had not to work myself into a full blown panic attack. My heart was pounding and my breathing was shaky. My hands gripped the side of the sink as I stared up at the sticky note and then quickly scanned the bathroom. I called in sick to work that morning and tore apart my entire apartment looking for some type of explanation. Some part of me thought I might find some sticky note pads or pens stashed away somewhere, but I didn’t find any of that.
I’m not sure what I should do if they continue, but I do know I can’t afford to move out right now. Any advice on what I should do is welcome. If I receive another one, I will keep all of you posted. It has been a week since that incident and I haven't received any more. Up until then they appeared in my apartment like clockwork though, so I'm sure there will be an update.

I am running a Rhel 9.2 server with gui at home and it works perfect! When i don't touch it
Now i want to get more security in place and started googling and came at FreeOTP from Redhat itself.
Now i made test environment on a windows pc with Rhel 9.2 running idm from rhel (ipaserver) and now i can indeed activate T OTP for users but since i am the only one i want to protect my server with OTP with every login root admin users etc but i don't thinks that is possible from what i read. How can i protect my server for every login? How is this done in the real world?
This for educational purposes and the could be a short answer with install this and do that but there is a reason behind everything. For instance not use OTP text based any more because its not safe any more with a standard password.
I am not an expert in Linux nor active. My main job is drawing Electric installation for apartment's and building. Autocad and stabicad. Just really eager to learn what the best way or what the right way is

OS: RHEL 9.2 server with gui

2.OPNsense (for acces wiregurad vpn to my servehome network from anywhere. RDP into windows)
3.TRUEnass (storage samba share to vm windows 11, iPhone, iPad.)
4.Home assistant (Tasmota knx, and some Knx modules)
I acces my server remotely with my iPad true vpn and then rdp into windows or the server.
Now i log in with root, i know i should disable it but when I started with Linux there was so much to get running en getting to work even with fstab problems here and there.
I also saw YubiKey but remote its difficult i was reading about it.
I don't use ssh or not really familiar with. Is that better anyway then a password?

Melanie C has had a successful career in the Industry, she was a talent TV judge so she is doing a job.
If you don't want to get judged, don't sign up for a competition. I didn't even think Melanie was too harsh, she praised Jazell's look and she wasn't bad, she just felt Jazell should have done something more unique instead of playing it straight.

For me as a customer, the hang dry option is a huge reason I use Poplin as I have limited space in my studio apartment. I have a great regular LP, but my hang dry items from my last order came back still damp and I had to figure out how to hang them again. I doubt it’s her fault they were damp, I’m assuming she had to make a deadline that the app requires.
Is there a way for me to request “hey, I don’t need these in 24 hours, feel free to take an extra day or two with my order especially to make sure stuff dries?” in a way that doesn’t get my LP in trouble?

Alright, not sure where to start but I am an ex-athlete who got popped twice for picogram levels of T-bol almost two years apart. Yet it has been almost exactly 6 years since I have ingested this compound. I have tried to educate myself with the Derek’s videos discussing the Jon Jones case and other athletes about the possibility of pulsing the long term metabolite of T-bol.
First things first, before I started playing university sports (21y) I had done a couple cycles of Test and threw in some orals along the way. I knew the consequences but never thought I was gonna play sports again so didn’t think it would be a problem. Next thing I know I got a full scholarship to play football and would become a tested athlete. I knew once I would become a tested athlete i couldn’t fuck around with this shit anymore. So I stopped in Jan 2018.
I played ball for 4 years and was never tested until my last year in 2021. October 2021 I failed for a t-bol metabolite roughly 20 picograms worth. I was absolutely fucking crushed. I could not understand how I failed for this when I had been clean for roughly almost 4 years. I wouldn’t throw away a full scholarship for this shit. I admitted I took it but like I said it had been almost 4 years and still got a lengthy suspension. I did my research and talked to lawyers but would cost me roughly 60k for fees, pharmacologists, hair tests, etc. There is no actual scientific evidence published to prove that this metabolite can stay in my system for this long. From research, people have failed a drug test then passed the next day or vice versa. So it doesn’t make sense how this stays in your system.
Fast forward to this year March 2023. I was subjected to another drug test. I fucking fail this test again but for 3 picograms. I am supposed to seek scientific advice from an expert but there’s no studies done that actually explain this metabolite staying in someone’s body for years.
I provided my athletic testing numbers from my university career to show that my bench, squat, 40, and agility times roughly stayed the same. I constantly put up 20-22 reps on bench and around 405 for squatting for my uni career. Basically plateaued my whole career even when I was grinding. If I was saucing again my shit would have been through the roof.
How do I go about this to prove to these people that I am innocent without paying 60K to clear my name. I swear I’m the only athlete ever to admit my use and I regret it because it came to bite me in the ass years later. But I am truthful and can live with the consequences because I know I didn’t take it since Jan 2018. The the only supps I take are gold standard whey and creatine and that shit doesn’t have t-bol in it lol.
I am confused and at a loss of words. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m pretty sure I’m fucked but wanted to seek advice.

As the title says, Crypto in it's current state is just a playground for the ultra rich and I have a feeling Gensler is in on it. Does anyone else have that feeling? Maybe this is too narrow focused and biased from a US citizen POV but I can't shake the feeling.
Apart from billionaires who can tweet about something on a whim and either causes something to pump or drop instantly and create massive profits for themselves, I think there is something going on behind the scenes.
Crypto is the future and not because I want to believe that but thats just the next step in evolutionary finance. Went from a cool rock, to coins, cash, check, credit, electronic transfer, and now Blockchain. Big governments all around the world are starting to adapt and integrate and yet... Gensler and the US are moving backward.
I don't think that's a coincidence... Maybe I have my tin hat on but I also know that behind the scenes, the US has a proven track record of slowing progress for the politicians and ultra rich to make profits. Load up on stocks, bonds, materials, or in this case crypto while they still have a chance because they now know it is inevitable.
Gensler and the SEC are constantly overstepping and at this point, it just seems targeted.

I rented a 1 bedroom apartment in WMU’s Western View apartment last year, and when I signed for the apartment I was frustrated about the lack of good inside apartment pictures online. So now that I’ve moved out, here’s what a standard furnished 1 bedroom apartment at Western View looks like.
I paid about $900/mo for rent and $40-90/mo for utilities.
Having seen inside a 3 and 4 bedroom unit in the same building, the only difference from the 1 bedroom is size of kitchen and main room, and a hallway with bedrooms instead of the bedroom opening straight into the kitchen.

I am looking for a CTO, a person who will be responsible for the IT part of my project.
I have been working on a project for 2 months now, the goal of which is to create an application in which people can rent out their car and receive additional income for it for people who would like to rent a car for a long time without buying it.
At the moment I am at the stage of creating my first MVP, application and that is why I need a CTO. next steps are the launch of MVP, cooperation with large companies and scaling.

I have been sitting on this one, because I don't like to be too negative, but it seemed many others had similar thoughts about their socails being managed badly/weirdly, and I was also curious if others had ideas of what works and what doesn't work now. (Bilifrap staff please stalk some more social spaces.)
Enha's recent promo on their social media accounts, but mainly tiktok feels sort of messy and ineffective.
To start with some positives, what I really liked:

• the shorts and reels from the trailer (although maybe more crossposting and adding them to their stories could've helped because the engagement wasn't too high on many of those)
• the individual IG reels for Half and New versions were gorgeous (but that may be more on the visual team)
• the tiktoks from the concept shoots were nice (especially from New) with the music they added in the background it kept people engaged by guessing if it was from the album

I'm conflicted if not cross-posting all these on their socials is a good or a bad thing. You get unique content on different platforms but some if it ends up flying under the radar if you are not actively checking (at least for me).
My main gripes with their tiktok this era:

• It feels like they are spamming. They posted tiktoks every 5-10 minutes for the title teaser, the individual dance challenges and the song spoilers were I think also very closely done one after the other.
• The title promo tiktoks feel repetitive. They posted with the same sound 18 times, out of this the dance challenge 11 times with very little variation (2 group, 2 unit and 7 individual tiktoks). They posted with outfits that while very pretty, we see them dancing in those already in the MV and MCountdown. I think what could have been fun is if the individual member dance challenges were done in different sets/outfits for each member, e.g. Jungwon in his biker outfit from the trailer, Sunoo in the crown from Full, Sunghoon on the New concept set etc. Some variability.
• Timing. They keep dumping 2-7 videos at the same time, that drives down the engagement on all the socials twitter, tiktok, IG.. they did it with the individual tiktoks and even some of the challenge collabs were posted less than 15 mins apart.
• Not using the other catchy parts of the song. The oh my god also has good choreo and they could have done something fun with it, but nothing. They did good with using the chorus in the song spoilers it gained a lot of attention they could've done at least something with it again after the song came out I think. They posted those visual clips with the 'come here and get some' part again, for that they could've easily used either an other track from the album or an other part of the song.
• Not using other tracks from the album, especially the lack of Bills! We got 2 bills tiktoks, while during Manifesto they posted a lot more for TFW and even did challenges with other groups.
• The templates with no sound.. Just clogging enha's tiktok feed and adding hardly anything. Even Enha's amazing visuals have limits of how much they can carry.

Their more casual tiktoks get such high engagement, they often end up on top of trends even if they are super late. They could give them time to do something on their own (we had members go viral and become memes by doing their own thing) in place of the lots of uniform content.
They have 10M+ followers on IG, Twitter, Tiktok but I don't think they are well utilised. In comparison I looked at lesserafim's tiktok and they have 3rd amount of followers but similar engagement and while they posted multiple
What do you guys think? Am I expecting too much and they are doing well, or their team could really be doing better?

My name is Mark (he/him), and I am a PhD student at Tampere University (Finland). I invite you to share your experience of playing video games in a survey ‘Video game mechanics and gender identity discovery’!
The purpose of the study is to collect information about game mechanics and their connection with gender identities. This survey is a part of a doctoral dissertation work on video games as a tool for gender-diverse people’s self-exploration (you can read a short blog post if you are interested in more information).
You are eligible for taking part in a survey if you are 18 years or older. There are no other requirements for participation. You will not receive any benefits from answering the survey questions.

Most questions are open, and, apart from questions about age, country of origin and gender identity, any other question can be skipped if you do not feel comfortable about it. If you are interested in further stages of the study, there is a separate part related to it in the survey.
Processed answers will be anonymized. Only anonymized data will be presented in study reports and scientific publication. Participation is completely voluntary, and you can withdraw your consent at any point temporarily or permanently.
