Did Andrew have some inkling that Jesus would perform a miracle with the boy's lunch?

However, we should note the intent of the literature and force of the drama which was to contrast the response of Philip with Andrew (two men with conspicuously Greek names): - Philip focused on the size of the problem - responding to Jesus question about buying bread - Andrew focused on how small a contribution he had found.
Note that according to Ellicott, the fact that the "lad" or "boy" [παιδάριον used only in Matt 11:16 and John 6:9 - possibly meaning young slave] was the only person with any food - Ellicott speculates that the young slave had brought this in the hope of selling it. This, again, would make Andrew's response consistent with Jesus' question about where to buy food - Andrew found a seller but with very little to sell.
This is typical of other occasions: Philip is focused on goals (John 14:8) and Andrew is focused on spiritual realities and solutions, eg, John 1:41, 12:22, etc.
Thus, the contrast could be stated this way -
Philip: look at how huge the problem is - its hopeless!
Andrew: here is something, but it is not much
Thus, it is entirely possible that Andrew, not Philip, sensed that Jesus could do something with even their meager resources!

After refusing to let me set him up with Venmo, my Dad had me send him a check the old fashion way. It didn't get there. It was stolen out of the mail and used for not 1, but 2 fraudulent payments to Walmart - one through eBilling and one as a physical check.
After 2 hours on the phone with Capital One to get things reversed (still ongoing), I have now received a piece of mail from debt collectors, asking for $921.97. They're referencing a Walmart account number that must have been opened in my name, but I've no way of tracking it down.

What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

Situation: I make $23/hour 40 hours per week After child support I make $16,000/year (this is under the federal poverty line right?) I've lost medicaid because they calculate based on gross instead of net I cannot afford health insurance through work Student loans are getting unpaused..
Does student loan income-based repayments calculate before or after they take child support out of me? If they calculate it before, well then they assume I have money that I do not.. Hi all, this is my first time requesting a game from this subreddit. I don’t typically have much need to ask for anything. I have been lucky through most of my life to be able to provide for myself and my family, however I have recently been evacuated from my house due to a forest fire. We are lucky that our house is still standing, as over 75% of house on our block have been a total loss, and we are the only one standing in our cul du sac. My child’s daycare has also burned to the ground, and our area was already in a childcare crisis. With that being said our house is severely damaged and it will be months before we will be allowed to return to it. We have insurance but we still have many expenses not covered by it, and our bills are mounting. This leave me unable to responsibly purchase this game. While my situation will improve over time, I had been really looking forward to this game, I had even booked time off work to play a new release for the first time ever.
I have been playing the Diablo franchise since it’s inception. I spent many hours playing the demo of Diablo, replaying those first two floors over and over with my brother. In Grade 9 I convinced my parents to buy me Diablo 2 for Easter, and D2 is still probably my most played game ever. My favorite build was a Necromancer running around with as many skeletons as the game would allow(or more frequently what my pc would allow). I was a day 1 player of D3, with it being one of the first games I played with my now wife, with me being a witch doctor main with her sorcerer. I did get back into D2 with the remaster launch, but I will admit I had a harder time getting back into it. While I enjoyed the game and the nostalgia it brought, I also had a newborn and decided to go back to school, so that was more not having. The time to enjoy.
I appreciate you reading this far and will be eternally grateful if gifted this game. We are lucky to still have our house, but it will be a long time before life returns to normal for us. Our neighborhood will be years before it is rebuilt, and we are all trying to find a small slice of normalcy. I'm 25 years old and will be 26 by the time I start school again in September.
Anyway, a quick backstory: I quit college (Law) . Did lots of CSR jobs, some construction etc. and finally got the money and time to start studying again! Now, I decided I want to go to university and study to become an engineer. I'm doing everything in my power to relearn maths and physics that will be neccesarry for me to pass any exams and prerequisites.
I want to do it... but I'm unsure if I can. I'm older now, especially in my late 20s. I really need a fresh start from all that has happened in my life. I left countless of friends, toxic bosses and my biggest problem alcohol . I just feel a bit discouraged that my peers have already gotten their degrees and or are starting theri careeres. Are there any other mature students out there with a similar situation? How do I convince myself I'm making the right decision? I know I can do the work, I just lost the motivation but at the same time, I really don't have any career choices so I figure going back to school is the best option in the long run. I have money, time and health. Also my parents are supportive. I just dont have anyone I can relate to that can help me overcome this inner psychological blokade.

I had just got out of a year long relationship a couple of months before I met him and went into dating him not expecting anything and not really sure of what I want. If what I understand is true you can buy individual quick queue passes for one ride somewhere near the ride entrance. Is this true? If it is does anyone know if Pipeline has this option? I know Universal doesn't do fastpass on their new rides for a long time after they open. Going on Sunday and want to ride but will have a 4 year old and a 6 year old with me. Context I (26M) love my parents unconditionally, maybe this isn’t the place for me. Maybe my shit is just concocted in oldest sibling problems, not really sure figured I’d post on here on a throwaway. My dad who we’ll just call D is the youngest child of 4. From all I know my dad had a very “old-school” raising and my grandfather was ex-military, my dad is still close with his eldest sister but both other siblings he’s had fallings out with. In the defence of him I can vouch that she is more the issue than anything from what I can see. The issues with his brother far far predate myself. As I’ve said I do think my parents are stellar and maybe this isn’t the subreddit for myself but we’ll go into some of the issues from here.
I’m the eldest of three, I wouldn’t say I’m the smartest guy out there but I’m a good bit away from the dumbest. I guess my issues start back to elementary school, I vividly remember every report card season like clock work C’s for the most part across the board, lots of comments saying. “Could do better doesn’t apply himself”-ish. In these moments my father would snap his chain so to speak and it’d be a barrage over and over, I’m an idiot. I’m the “garbage man” (a constant term of his). I recall being no more then 12 and I had something go shitty (maybe school maybe sports) and I remember sitting upstairs and hearing my dad shouted at my mother “you wouldn’t get it (my mother is an only child) every family has a black sheep. For mine it was B (my fathers brother) for us it’s, me… it was me.
I can tell you the exact spot when I was 10 years old my father told me I wasn’t going to make it to the NHL (Canadian) yet on my last trip home (I live 16hrs away now) that if he we’re a couple inches taller, he’d be in the NHL as I stare at his collection of custom goalie helmets that our dad paid for him to have when I simply just wasn’t allowed to be a goalie.
I’ve tried to covey on several different occasions over the years to my parents their preferential treatment of my younger siblings to I (25F) (22M) but most come with yeah, but they did this. You didn’t do this, an example would be where I live now (different side of province to them) I was never given a vehicle, during my university career I had a bus ticket so I didn’t need a car unlike my two siblings whom also got bus tickets through their uni student fees. But for all of COVID while I walked through -30 weather to attend work to pay rent, my siblings lived at home and were given cars to use at their leisure, I can recognize that’s just a product of staying near home. But now as I sit here writing this I’ve been in my new city, home for all purposes and my parents have yet to come here as I approach a decade in this city. Yet they plan their Rivera trips hoping that my brother goes and plays pro hockey in Italy.
I love my parents, they’ve allowed me and pushed me far out of my comfort zone and given me so much but yet. It eats away at me to know I’m the least, I’m the black sheep, they just give less of a F about this one.

Hi, I'm a young filmmaker in the UK looking to start my career in the industry. My previous work has been simple shoots: a few narrative short films (a few of which have got into international film festivals somehow), and some very basic interviews.
In August this year I'm taking on a documentary-style project, which is something I've never done before. The documentary will follow a 17 year old who's going to be the first person to circumnavigate the UK in an electric boat. The agreement is that I get allocated a budget of around £5000, to purchase or rent the equipment, and in return I can then use that equipment to film a narrative short I have planned for after the documentary. I've put together a kit list that fits the budget that needs to be purchased in the next few weeks. The main bits of the kit are:

• Blackmagic Pocket 6k Pro
• Canon 16-35mm (with IS)
• Canon 24-70mm f4 (with IS)
• Meike 35mm Cine lens
• Tilta cage, follow focus and accessories
• DJI RS3 Pro
• Enough NPF batteries to power a small country

At first glance, this list may look like I've selected completely inappropriate gear, but I'm trying to produce a high-quality 'Netflix Style' documentary. Not included in the budget is also several GoPros and a DJI Mini 3 Pro to be taken by the crew on the boat. (Idiot proof). I will only be with the boat for small portions of the journey at a time, with the main equipment, as well as detailing the start and finish events, and mixing this with interviews done after the event. In all honesty the reason I'm using The Pocket 6K Pro instead of something like an a7Siii, is that for the price it delivers cinematic (I hate that word) quality like nothing else, and I'd love to use it for my narrative film afterwards. The money won't cover an a7s and seeing as being able to use the equipment is my only payment for this job, in return for 100+ hours work, it seems only fair I pick a camera I'd like to use, but that would still adequately suit both jobs.
Anyway, I've just finished a meeting with a really patronising guy (a friend of one of the marketing team for the event), who's apparently been in the industry for 60+ years and has done work for big clients (although he didn't say who if any). He told me that all the kit was significantly inappropriate and "If you (me) use that kit you'll fail." - great words to an aspirational youth like myself.
He told the boat team that they would be better off using 2 GoPro 11s and a Sony ZV-1. It seems we have completely different visions in our heads, as this setup definitely won't capture the footage, and look that I'm going for. I kinda get where he's coming from - the camera isn't weather sealed, doesn't have IBIS, or autofocus. His main argument was the the gimbal is overkill and the footage will be shaky due to the lack of IBIS. Here's my response: I won't be using the camera in rough conditions, will have a rain cover, most of the footage will be captured from shore or from a bigger boat anyway, the lenses have internal stabilisation etc...
So I guess what I'm asking is should I take his words, and use a ZV-1 and action camera to film my cinematic masterpiece? If any less obnoxious people have ideas/advice either for or against using this setup I'd be really grateful.

As some of you may have noticed, across Reddit there is a growing movement towards a blackout from June 12th - June 14th. Your Mod team at Mobcontrolgame has decided we are going to support this movement.
We hope that you will continue to support our community and our involvement in this action.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit

• : submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
• Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at /ModCoord- but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
• Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
• Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

I have a few questions

As you may be aware, Reddit is going to be changing the way its API - Application Programming Interface, a.k.a the method third party apps communicate with Reddit - works, meaning that a lot of apps, especially mobile apps, will either have to pay enormous amounts of money or shut down. This includes things like Apollo, RIF Is Fun, Narwhal, BaconReader, Reddit for the Blid, and more. Here are some articles on the situation:

This is obviously bad for anyone who uses those apps. Some people rely on those third-party applications to use Reddit at all, as a lot of accessibility features are lacking in the offiical Reddit mobile app. People are also worried that this is just the start of getting rid of alternative methods of reading Reddit in general, including old.reddit.com (my own preferred way), the Reddit Enhancement Suite, and so on.
As a result of these events, there is an upcoming protest on June 12th that [many subs](https://old.reddit.com/ModCoord/comments/1401qw5/incomplete_and_growing_list_of_participating/) are joining. Most subs that are participating in it will be going dark (i.e. going private) for 48 hours. A minority of the participants will be going dark for longer, possibly indefinitely.
We're a small sub, and we won't be very active on the days in question, as it's not Strictly Season. It could be seen as somewhat performative, but on the other hand, I do agree with this protest, and given I *do* moderate a subreddit, should at least consider it.
So what do you think? Should we go dark on the 12th of June for 48 hours? That would mean that the subreddit is marked "Private" for 48 hours staring on the 12th of June. You won't be able to read or post for that time.

Look, I know this is controversial but I am considering getting this game.
I know some people just want to play the campaign and that is it. I am not one of them. I just want to have a game that I can play for a few hours 1-3 a day for a looong time (years ideally) - something like WoW
So is Diablo such a game? My main worry is that you will be able to get the best gear very fast and then you will be left with nothing to do

Growing up, I used to have a wonderful relationship with my mom. She treated me the same way she treated my older brother. She was always a very anxious and stressed person but as a child I don’t remember it impacting me. Now, I’m 41 and she is a complete asshole to me…
It all started when I started dating a foreign man and moved abroad. I was 29 years old at the time. She was so angry with me, she couldn’t accept my move. She slowly started to criticise me and make me feel bad about what I was doing to her. How the distance was awful and how I was slowly killing her and my grandmother (who lived with her).
I had 4 years of constant sadness, misery and complaining until I decided to move back to my home country. The thing is, my country was going through a deep economic crisis, so when I returned it was super hard to find a good job, I’m a digital marketing exec. She proceeded to taunt me, make me feel like shit for not just taking any job. She wanted me to work at a call centre or work at a cafe and just accept anything. I know myself and it’s hard for me to quit a bad thing so I never wanted to find a job that didn’t match my career goals. At the same time, I moved with my now husband who had a good salary and could support us both so I had time to look for a job. But she couldn’t take it and ended up making me so depressed with her phone calls, there were points where I felt the best thing would be to end things.
It’s now been 8 years since I’ve moved back to my country and she is absolutely awful to me. It got progressively worse because I let her talk to me in a very awful way. She belittles me and tries to bring me down in front of my husband. She is a stay at home mom and she hates that I’m currently also at home taking care of my child. She does most things around the house as my dad is a man from another generation. And she hates that my husband does lots of things around the house. She started criticising my dad for not cooking or going to the supermarket but she hates that my husband does that at home. If she sees him feeding the baby or hanging the laundry, she will tell him to stop because I’m home all day and that’s my job. My husband has been very supportive but lately he’s also super stressed at work and his boss is old fashioned, his wife does everything around the house, so he starting doing less things around the house. He claims that my mom influenced his decision to take a step back from doing things around the house.
What should I do? Is my mom jealous or does she just hate me?
