About four days ago I have ordered a K12 from the US Keychron site and I received a quite normal looking confirmation email. The next day came a sketchier looking email with different font, formatting and signature, although seemingly sent from the same address. It told me that my purchase seems fraudulent and that I should take a photo of my card/paypal user that I used to pay for the keyboard or they will cancel my order in three days. The next day came a new email that literally only said 'reminder'. It seemed weird that they had the correct order number but did not know what I used to pay for it, and also this practice seems just crazy to me. So I did not reply to the sketchy emails, instead through their website I wrote them a mail asking wether they know about these emails being sent out in their name or if it really is standard procedure to do something like this. The reply simply said that they confirm that I wanted to cancel my purchase and the refund will arrive in 5-7 days.
So I do not usually shop at American websites (in this case the stock and the price was a bit better even with shipping) and I don't know if this is acceptable to customers over there, or if anyone had experienced anything similar before but now I will just order a slightly different, slightly more expensive model that Keychron Germany is selling. Am I safe to expect the refund soon tho? The confirmation of the cancellation came in a similar style to the sketchy emails.

I was in my first ever motor accident last week where I was on my MC and the other was in their car. I got away from it quite unscathed as it was in a roundabout at low speed, but my bike got pretty messed up from it.
After much back and forth with my insurance company, here are all the things that I can not stress enough you need to document to cover your own ass, as I am currently in a dispute that neither party can prove or disprove about each other.

• Take photos of where on the road your bike is at. DO NOT PICK IT UP BEFORE YOU HAVE DONE SO.
• RECORD ANY INTERACTION WITH THE OTHER PARTY. Make sure to get their face in the frame.
• Record the immediate surroundings. Catch number plates, faces, car-makes and models - anything that can help your insurance contact potential witnesses.
• Call the police and request an officer be present before interacting with the other party beyond getting their info.
• Pullover anyone who has seen or could have seen the accident happen. Get their contact info; Full name, phone number.
• Get the other party's contact and insurance info. Including their passengers', in case they claim bodily-harm due to the accident.
• Keep calm and focus on yourself. It is important everything YOU need is gathered.
• Do not, under any circumstances, make on-the-spot deals about who is taking blame. Unless you write down explicitly what you or they did and sign it, it does not aid you in any way. Especially if it's just a handshake deal. Any one can change their mind.
• If they are hysterical and/or in shock, do not interact with them beyond getting their info unless you are recording. They do or say things they will claim to their insurance was made in an irrational state of mind. But with video evidence you may stand a better chance.
• Take photos of brake-tracks and liquid leaks from your bike.
• Make a 360 recording of your bike and their vehicle.
• Take panorama and close-up pictures of all damages on the spot. Both of your bike and their vehicle.

Even if you have witnesses, photographic evidence is superior.
My number 1 biggest mistake was not taking photos of where in the roundabout/road my bike was at right after the accident. It is super important, especially if road markings (full lines, special conditions, road signs (yield, stop) etc.) could have a massive impact on the police report and insurance case.

3 months into the relationship i found out he was talking to his ex, sending her flowers for her birthday and basically texting her like he was asking for her back. I also found out that he was still seeing her and having physical relations with her as he was pursuing me and told me he cut her off completely. And they saw each other on his last day before he left the country for work. (I saw him the day before).

I forgave him and i’ve lost maybe 30 pounds in that process, but went back to my old self and being me again. When i started traveling i didn't know how hard it can be. Of course it's mostly very pleasant but my first times abroad taught me a lot and every new journey does so!
One of the things that i needed to learn is to be firm and be able to say no. No to the many beggars, no to the 'brothers' and 'hello my friend' shady people, no to guesthouse owners who shift you to the shitty room in the middle of the night, no to the 'one more drink' party people who never stop.
Another thing was patience. Just sitting at a Busstation and simply needing to wait for hours for the bus to come. The villagers say it exists, but until it appears (and you must be ready to jump on, if not you'll miss it) suddenly, it's nothing but a hopeful thought.
I think learning to blend in a little or appear to be a seasoned traveller also helps a lot. With this goes kindness. I try to be nothing but kind, understanding and will never raise my voice or lose my temper. I will apologize for things i didn't do, just to calm down the other person and avoid any physical damage.
Don't stress yourself but don't be too lazy. A sentence i learned from other travelers who saw me rushing from town to town because i wanted to see as much as possible. True, i saw many things but i didn't get a feel of the places and the people. Those days still are only foggy moments with photo stop breaks.
An obstacle other travelers helped me to avoid is to travel with too much stuff. Depending on the climate it might be more or less but it's most of the times better to travel light and buy things you (really need) on the go.
What is something you'd think was an obstacle you overcame and/or something you learned during your travels?

This might be off-topic but I am buying a 2011 Xterra which has run 175000km and I am not sure whether to get comprehensive insurance or third-party insurance. Currently, the car is stock and I intend to do basic off-roading upgrades. Can someone throw some light on this topic?

my brother g is 14 years old. he's only 3 years younger than me and has adhd. i 17(ftm) have major depression, anxiety, and ptsd (all diagnosed ofc).
my little brother's life has always been better than mine from the get go. i am jealous with, in my opinion, good reason. his parents are together, neither abuse him, his extended family is positive and loving, and he generally has had a better family life growing up. as one of his 3 siblings i can't say the same. all of our lives have been worse in comparison yet he gets the most sympathy. my oldest brother has a drug addicted deadbeat dad that tried using him for money/rides and was abused by my father before being torn away from his friends to move states, my step brother has an over bearing mother who cares more about materialistic things then his interests, and i was sexually and physically abused by my dad and others from 4 up.
despite this me and my siblings are rarely given attention or get to choose activities. we used to have family movie and game nights yet could never pick the movie/game. it was always "oh that movies not appropriate for your brother" or "that game will be too hard for your brother!". this meant he got to pick everything every time and we couldn't ever play games/watch stuff without including him which meant never getting to do that stuff without adjusting for him. he was always slap happy but never was really punished. where my brothers and i were pit in time out or grounded for even accidents he hit on purpose daily and was only scolded. eventually we were told to stop being tattle tails and that it didn't hurt that much. if we ever retaliated or even just pushed him away or ran away to avoid being hurt we were yelled at cause he'd cry. he always got new clothes, back packs, toys, and games while i got hand me downs and told to enjoy what i had. while he'd get $50 lego sets i would get $10 dolls that scared the crap out of me and a guilt trip for not enjoying it. his interests were always looked out for with birthday parties, gifts, and conversations. we all had to watch his favorite tv shows. meanwhile, our parents couldn't tell you what each of us liked past things from several years ago. they always complained we were too complicated or didn't know what we liked when they were the ones not listening when we'd try to talk to them about things. my oldest brother stopped playing with all of us and participating in family activities first. then my step brother who was only over for half the week stopped. when i didn't want to play with him or engage with the family any more i wasn't allowed to say no because nobody else would hang with my youngest brother if i left. i was there to distract and keep him happy while my brothers all got to enjoy their time.
things stopped for me faster than my other siblings. my step dad always liked his own kids better but it hurt a lot more to be second priority to both your bio dad and step dad. where i was told to get my own snack/drink or that i was too heavy to pick up at 7-8 years old my step brother and little brother got that treatment into their teens. my step dad never asked for quality time with me or my interests. instead i was chided for not understanding sarcasm like his sons or ignored when wanting to do something he found boring. several times he laughed when my things got ruined because i "always ruined" his kids stuff. it was only ever on accident i damaged anything any of my family members owned.
i was a "prodigy" and "gifted" as a child so i was always made to do extra homework and get good grades. my brothers got to slide by with barely passing d's and threats by teachers of summer school while i was scolded for a c+. i remember my mom telling me i wasn't allowed to watch a movie i hadn't read the book for. i liked reading but this made it into a chore. my brothers of course had no such restrictions on what they could watch/play. even today my parents are upset that im not going to college when my oldest brother lives with them and plays video games any time he's home from work. i graduated a YEAR early under stressful and unexpected circumstances. even them instead of being proud of me for getting through it despite my mental illness' they were upset i hadn't done enough. my youngest brother meanwhile just barely made it through this year and yet complained he was asked to do his homework. he was still allowed to hang out with friends and play games all day despite having all f's at one point!
my little brother also made many jokes at one point that his dad hit him/left him because he thought it was funny. my parents had "talks" with him for months until finally my step dad yelled at him. it sucks that he got to make fun of such an experience when me and my oldest brother were abused by my dad. even now i suffer daily from ptsd. even if he doesn't make the jokes now he still makes fun of me for having a dick head dad knowing it hurts me and gets away with it. he never has to take responsibility for anything and gets to scream at my parents, hit me, and leave giant messes for others to clean without any consequences.
im just so done. i feel so overlooked and discussing this with my parents even with my therapist present has earned me defensive responses and at some points them simply walking away from me. am i just a bad kid?

Everyone who worked with me knew I’d been a fan of SNL since I came out of the womb, so when I picked up the phone to make the reservation and spoke with his assistant, I told them I was Lorne's biggest fan. When he arrived with his wife and son (who went to a local boarding school), they were so kind, and he said, 'Oh, I heard you’re my biggest fan, and that’s amazing because I don’t have fans — the cast always has fans!' I almost died. I gave them my favorite table, which they were thrilled with, and when he got up to leave, he left me an envelope with a pretty sweet bonus tip inside. I wasn’t usually tipped doing my work, so it wasn’t necessary, but it was so thoughtful and appreciated. All three were true gems. You’d never know he was famous or rich at all."
4. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "I met Roseanne Barr for work once. I went to shake her hand, and she looked me up and down and said, 'I don't shake hands,' then walked away."
5. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Matthew Gray Gubler after he did a talk years ago at my college! Only the first 100 people who got tickets were supposed to be able to do a meet and greet. He said 'rules were made to be broken' and that he would stay and meet with everyone until they kicked him out. Not only was he incredibly sweet to me (literally introduced himself...so humble and posed for a goofy pic), but he seemed so genuinely kind to everyone there. Just amazing energy all around."
6. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "A friend and I visited my boyfriend while he was doing security at a jazz festival in Malibu. He told us Adam Sandler and his family had been there all day and tons of people took pictures with him. We ran back to the car to grab the digital camera, looked up, and saw Adam, his pregnant wife Jackie, and their toddler leaving. We went up to them. Adam was clearly done for the day, but his wife said, 'Honey, let me hold [toddler's name] and you can take a picture.' We handed him the camera and he took a selfie with us. Still have that picture on my fridge. Love the Sandman!"
7. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "My little cousin played one of Rob Schneider's kids in 50 First Dates. Rob was stuck-up, never got to know the children or their parents, and always went straight to his dressing room. I'm an introvert, so I like my alone time to recharge, but apparently the vibes he was giving off were that he couldn't be bothered to care about anyone else there. Also, the little girl in the movie was apparently a spoiled brat who threw tantrums and made them have to redo so many takes. I can see why Rob maybe didn't want to play with her, but the other kids were great!"
8. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "My husband met Rihanna years ago and said she was super nice. He was working as a ground handler at an airport and was setting up something on the ramp for her private plane. She came out, approached him, asked him about his job, and they chatted for a few minutes. Not sure if she was killing time until the gate opened, or if she went out of her way to talk to him for the heck of it, but he had nothing but nice things to say about her."
9. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Jerry Springer while bartending almost 20 years ago. He was thinking of getting back into politics and had a meeting in our private dining room on the second floor. It was happy hour and the bar was packed. Someone spotted him and started chanting, 'JERRY, JERRY,' while he was about to walk up the stairs. He then came to the bar, ordered a $2 beer, walked through the entire bar, shook hands, and took pictures. When he finished the loop, he set the full beer on the bar and handed me $40. Regardless of his show, I will always think of him as a class act."
10. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "My story is that I was actually horrible to a celebrity. In the '70s, I was obsessed with Donny and Marie. They were playing at our state fair that year. My dad tried to get tickets, but it was sold out. He took us to the fair anyway. A few times we could hear the music, which infuriated me at 7 years old. When we were leaving, my dad had to stop the car because there was a big crowd of people. As they cleared to let us through, two people popped their heads in the car window to apologize. It was Donny and Marie. I refused to believe it was really them, and I told Marie, 'You're not Marie. She's a lot prettier than you.' My family was horrified."
11. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Hands down nicest celebrity I've ever met was Taylor Swift. I met her at a concert as part of her security at the Houston shows. She was polite and introduced herself to everyone. She was obviously very busy, but she seemed interested in what I had to say and signed an album cover for my son."
12. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I have been lucky enough to meet Sir Ian McKellen twice: once after a performance where I also met Simon Callow and Patrick Stewart, and once during his tour of 80 shows for turning 80. Absolutely lovely man. He is my #1 dream dinner guest. I wish I was his friend."

I went inside and placed my order, and a guy in a white jumpsuit with a white bandana tied around his head came in. There weren't that many people in the restaurant, but he stopped and signed autographs and was chatting everyone up when I left. It wasn't until a few years later that I realized that person was Steven Tyler. This was in the late '80s before Aerosmith had that string of hits."
18. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "The most genuine interaction I've ever had with a celeb was with Bert Kreischer. I saw a show (during which he mentioned his grandma was in the hospital). Then, he told the audience he would be going to the bar next door after the show if anyone wanted a picture. When he arrived at the bar, he waded through CROWDS of people and made sure everyone who wanted to was able to get a pic or a moment with him. I stayed at the bar for a drink until he was on his way out (by this time the crowd had dispersed). I called out as he passed, 'Hey, I didn't get a chance to say it before, but I hope your grandma does well.' He stopped, turned around, and had a very genuine conversation with me."
19. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jason Momoa was really fun to meet in person when I saw him at a Nine Inch Nails show. Really fun guy!"
20. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jennifer Lopez. I went to where they were filming Air last year (I live in LA) because I wanted to meet Ben Affleck. I met Matt Damon as he wrapped before he left. He was a SUPER nice guy. I waited for Ben as his Escalade pulled up, but I DID NOT expect JLO to get out. She got out right next to me. She was only with her driver and he didn’t tell me to move or anything, so when she got out, I was like ‘Jen! Can I get a picture?' and she said sure. We talked about Selena because I’m Latina and she’s super important to me, and the movie means so much to me. She was SOO nice and sweet. She didn’t give any vibes that I was annoying her or that she had to Go. We also spoke in Spanish. We took our picture and then she went inside to get Ben. When they got out, Ben was NOT HAPPY (I don’t blame him. He was acting and directing), so I just stepped aside."
21. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "In 2004, I met Tony Curtis. He exuded 'old Hollywood.' He made his way around the room, speaking to each person, and when he approached me, he extended his hand and held my hand through the entire conversation. He focused on our conversation as if there was no one else in the room. As we said goodbye (he was still holding my hand), he raised my hand to his lips and kissed it. He was dressed impeccably and was in fine form. I have had many celebrity encounters, but nothing rises to the level of Tony Curtis. Absolutely the best celebrity encounter I've ever had."
22. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Sir Patrick Stewart at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. We were both hanging out with friends in the lobby. He told stories, made lots of jokes with his friends, and included us in the conversation."
23. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I went to college with Muhammad Ali's twin daughters. He came with them for move-in day, and they arrived in a chauffeured Rolls Royce. He was gracious and took as many pictures and signed as many autographs as people wanted. I even have a picture where he is pretending to punch me. I told him that I grew up down the street from the house he had in Chicago before he donated it to the Nation of Islam. He asked me if they were good neighbors and laughed when I told him not really."
24. TOTAL NIGHTMARE: "My sister met Katy Perry at a restaurant, but she was being rude to the bartender and all the employees who came over to help, so now my niece and nephew aren't allowed to listen to her music."
25. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I met Tori Amos, and she was an absolute sweetie pie. She hugged me and told me she liked my shirt. We spoke briefly. I was starstruck, but it made a lasting impression on me."
26. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I grew up in a tiny town (pop. 3,000), and every year for his twins' birthday dinner, Michael J. Fox would bring his whole family to the restaurant my mom worked at. 32. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "I was a bartender at the Troubadour for five years and have so many stories! Jeff Bridges was the first celeb I met. His band was playing. Before we opened, after his sound check, he made a point of coming down to us bartenders to introduce himself and thank us for helping out that night. SUCH A GEM!"
33. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "Jason Schwartzman came into the bar I worked in on a night that had a bunch of teenage bands playing and was super sweet to any of the kids who came up to him."
34. ABSOLUTE DREAM: "When I was young, I went to an Olivia Newton-John concert. I grew up watching Grease on repeat and had always loved her. At the concert, me and another young girl were invited on stage to give her flowers and introduce ourselves. On stage, l asked to get her autograph and she told me she would after the show. Post-concert, I waited with my family to get an autograph and she invited me and my dad into her fitting room and no one else. Once back there, I was so starstruck and amazed that she remembered my name! She was so kind and took pictures with me and my dad, signed a photo, gave me the set list, and wrapped it up by giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek. She spent probably an hour with us just hanging out in her room and chatting. To this day, it's one of my most cherished memories."

TLDR at end I am at the start of a campaign, getting towards what I would consider to be the prologue of of my story. It's at this point that I want include a rp encounter that will be a microcosm of the end of my campaign to help with theme set up. Essentially, where I will be leading/hoping my players get to is an end decision about their patron that they will be taking jobs from. The setting is a typical medieval kingdom with divisions between peasants and nobles. As they progress with this patron they will be discovering that their patron is fighting for the removal of the class system and creating a kingdom where everyone is on equal footing. Whether they are low born or noble, they have access to the same resources. Their patrons view is that borders divisions is the active system that prevents harmony (this is tied to a religious belief and tied to the creation myth of the land). Their goal is to remove those borders in order to promote cooperation, unity, and harmony to those throughout the land. At the end, once they take over control, the twist is going to be revealed that their plan is to militarize their kingdom, and start attacking and fighting the other kingdoms. Their internal motivation is that either their army will win, thus removing all borders to get to their view of unity, or all of the other kingdoms will have to unit to defeat them, creating the unity by being the large enough threat to unit everyone else against.
In my mind, the final conflict is the decision for the players to keep the current status quo and not agree with and have to fight against their patron. Or go along with their patron's plans and ideals for the long haul, even if it means causing much more suffering in the short term to get there.
What I'm wanting to do is set up this theme earlier, by putting my players in an rp scenario, but at a much smaller scale. The idea that I have currently is they come across a town that is experiencing hardship and famine. The town leadership is at a crossroads of what to do and needs the party to be the tie breaker. Do they open up resources to everyone at an equal rate, angering the nobles that live there and expect proper treatment, or keep the rations as they currently are, angering the peasants and having to placate them so they don't revolt. If the party chooses to open up the store houses, the nobles will leave, taking all of their disposable resources that was providing some incentive for trade that was allowing for food stocks to be replenished at the current rate, which will cause food to run out significantly faster, but will allow for peasants to work the land with enough energy once the hopeful rains come. If they choose to keep it as is, nobles will stay, peasants will be angry, but everyone will survive. Party is low enough that they don't have the ability to change the weather for the town to make it prosper.
It's a little weaker than I would like currently, which is why I'm reaching out to the hive mind to see if you can strengthen the idea.
