2023.06.01 20:54 Weary_Mamala Is that a mine on Duraleigh just past Delta Lake dr?
I live near that area and see what looks like big mountains of sand and such. Often our townhouse rumbles for a second and I assume it’s something happening at that plant or mine. There’s no signage so I’ve never been able to figure it out.
I’ve also wondered if the business behind Wendy’s and Hungry Howies, where Glenwood and Pleasant Valley run parallel, is attached to the other.
Anyone know?

2023.05.05 03:33 asking-truth Frustrating User Experience
So i adopted the 14 pro max on release and attributed some issues to the early adoption tax.
With the iPhone 14 being on the market as long as it has at this point, i feel like certain issues im having should not be a thing, and certainly aren't a thing on my wife's android phone.
I'm writing this rant in hopes of a solution but some of the issues I've experience in the past are the following;
Online shopping- Certain websites completely dump the cart items after selecting check out.
Ordering from
subway.com is a heavy offender.
Hungry Howie's location selection starts halfway down the page, so i selected the wrong store, ruining dinner for my family tonight. What website loads halfway scrolled down the page?????
My frequently entered items (email, usernames, city) never pop up for auto complete through safari, so i switched to edge. Both browsers have the issue mentioned above.
I hate chrome, and i fear that it'll experience the same issues as mentioned above so i haven't even bothered. but as far as IOS being a streamlined easy to use experience, i think I'd much rather be back in the android universe. At least I can enter letters, numbers, and punctuation from the same keyboard page.....
Flaired as discussion as I'm genuinely looking for solutions and others with similar experience. I want to love my new phone, but all these minor annoyances add up over time.

2023.04.20 00:30 Palidor Same restaurant, 2 different times: got free food on both
Went to Hungry Howies for the lunch rush, guy behind the counter gave me a medium pizza w/ pepperoni for free (made a mistake).
About an hour later, I go back to HH for a different pick up and a different employee gave me a box of crazy bread with marinara. Once in a life time situation. Both deliveries were also $2/mile dashes

Have you meet anyone out of nowhere that is a fan of the show? And if so , how did it go?
My story: I work on in a shopping plaza ( hungry howies , goodwill, dry cleaners ,etc.) and there is a dollar general .
So one day I went up to the dollar general and I seen a employee wearing David’s yellow jacket ! Automatically started talking to him about the show and now when I come in we say “ wud up choom “ .

2023.04.08 23:23 rastaguy I am confused
I don't drive for door dash. I wanted to, but in my area it never comes up as available. That is why I follow this sub. I don't use door dash much, I feel like it is excessive. However, I also don't believe in punishing the person at the bottom for what their overlords decide. Working with the public sucks, I get it I have done it and my girlfriend is a bartender. You have to put some serious effort into getting less then 35% from us. That being said I feel like the responses here are all over the place here and maybe I should stop using the service. I tipped $14 on my last order which included picking up a pizza and some beer. Total mileage from initial stop to my house after completing the order is maybe 3 miles. Shit was cold and dude acted like he was doing me a favor because he couldn't understand the instructions to my apartment. It has happened the last few times. Am I just unlucky? I don't want to play the back in my day card. But when I delivered pizza for Hungry Howies when starting college (I am 52),I was jazzed with any tip. What am I missing here? I am not going to tip people shitty, so I just gave up. It seems like the service is in self destruct mode from what I read here. I am open to being wrong and educated on this. Please enlighten me.

2023.03.29 18:46 xsmp I've ordered from them over 160 times and now I'm outside delivery zone, I was just trying to treat myself after 65 hours in 6 days on my first day off. I'm going back to bed.
2023.03.29 04:03 GenycisBeats Catering order... or nah?
TL:DR: Had an offer for 9.8 miles for $23.00 to a difficult drop off point for 25 pizzas from Hungry Howie's. Should that have been a Catering order or was DD skimping again on a Catering order that wasn't marked as one?
So I had an order pop up earlier for me today... 9.8 miles for $23.00 for Hungry Howie's pizza. I was about to accept it, when I checked the location drop off and realized it was in an outdoor spots complex which can be hell to park at and to then walk all the way to the entry point of the complex. Add to that, the fact that it was for 25 pizzas. I'm guessing they were having a big event over there and needed 25 pizzas delivered. So, though part of me contemplated accepting it, I declined it.
I don't have enough pizza bags to keep all 25 pizzas warm for a 10 mile drive. And I also was not going to have an easy situation trying to lug 25 pizzas back and forth from the parking lot area all the way to the main entry point or further into the sporting complex where they were wanting it delivered. The $23.00 for 10 miles was definitely over the $2/mile rate, but with the other points I made (at least for me), I declined it. However, my questions are:
- Would you have taken this order especially if not fully prepared with a bunch of bags to take 25 pizzas (assuming you can fit at most 3 in a bag, you'd need 9 insulated bags which I didn't have), as well as not having a cart of some sort that you can put them all on to roll at once instead of walking almost half a mile from car to entry point and repeating that several times?
- Should this order have not been considered a Catering order given the 25 pizzas, or is there a certain guideline as to what would constitute a catering order (in other words, if I had taken this order, should I have also then contacted DD support to advise that there should be a base pay increase if they even do such a thing)?
The offer was nice and I would've taken it either if it were 7 to 10 pizzas, or, if the drop off point was to a place where the walk wasn't too bad from car to entrance and drop off. I may have considered it a bit further if the payout was $35 or more, but given it showed 9.8 for $23, I knew DD was showing me the entire amount from what I've noticed especially lately with distant orders. Thoughts?
