We have been hearing these stories since an unexplained object crashed near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. What is so new about this story? It is the bonafide credentials of the person now making the allegations. Do I believe what this man is saying?
As the old saying goes: "The jury is still out." However, another saying comes into play: "Where there is this much smoke there has to be some fire."
The distances between solar systems and star systems are beyond comprehension in the normal sense. The nearest star system to our world is Proxima Centauri. A spacecraft would have to fly at the speed of light for over 4.22 years to reach this celestial body. It would take us 73,000 years to travel this distance with the current chemical rockets that we explore space with.
It would take a society or civilization with incredibly advanced technology to produce a spacecraft capable of attaining the speed of light. An actual journey at that speed would require a long time for the spacecraft to reach the speed of light. It would take a long time for the spacecraft to slow down as it neared a target solar system or planet. I doubt that we would see a scenario like Star Trek with large star ships full of human occupants. I see a craft with Artificial Intelligence that we could not imagine. Any scout ship deployed from this vessel would have the most advanced Artificial Intelligence.
Would there be biological beings on board? I am going to say perhaps. A television show ran for one season in 2005. It was called "Threshold." The aliens did not come as little gray beings with big eyes and high foreheads. They did not come as hideous-looking monsters. They came as DNA molecules that entered human hosts and took over their being. It would be easy to keep DNA frozen for decades or centuries.
At the end of the process, I believe that the US government does have some ultra-advanced technology aircraft. Most are from countries like Russia and China. It is not impossible to imagine that in this group of high technology platforms, there is one spacecraft that came to us from light years away. More will be revealed.

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 6, 2023) - Tudor Gold Corp. (TSXV: TUD) (FSE: H56) (the "Company" or "Tudor Gold") is pleased to announce that significant drilling progress has been made on its 2023 exploration program (the "Program") at its flagship property, Treaty Creek, located in the Golden Triangle of Northwest British Columbia.

The first hole of the season, GS-23-164, a 150-meter step-out to the northeast has successfully reached its intended depth, intersecting the DS-5 Zone. This intersection revealed mineralization and veining from 558 m to 1,083 m, including a consistently observed, strongly altered, stockwork vein zone from 885 m to 972 m, similar to previous DS-5 holes.

Based on the exciting results of holes GS-23-164 and GS-23-167, another step-out drill hole, GS-23-169, was collared and is currently at 357 m of a planned 1200 m depth targeting a further 150 m NE step out from GS-23-167 of the CS-600 Zone. Furthermore, the technical team is planning to construct two additional drill pads for future drilling activities located at approximately 150 and 300 meters further to the northeast. These new drill pad locations will enable continued exploration of gold-copper mineralization targeting the north and northeast extensions of the CS-600 and DS-5 zones.
In addition to the step-out holes, two infill holes are currently targeting areas of the Goldstorm Deposit to convert inferred resources to the indicated category. Hole GS-23-166-W1, is at 570 m of a planned 1150 m depth and targeting a pocket of inferred CS-600 ounces, as well as a northward expansion of the DS-5 zone. Hole GS-23-168 is at 1008 m of a planned 1800 m depth and targeting the deep CS-600 zone infilling between holes GS-22-157 and GS-21-113-W2.
Results from the Program will be provided by the Company once final assays are received and compiled.

The Program
The 25,000 m diamond drilling program at Treaty Creek has been designed to test the north and northeast mineral extensions of the Goldstorm Deposit where drilling in 2021 and 2022 intercepted the highest grades of gold, copper and silver mineralization at the Treaty Creek Project. These results contributed to a significantly upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate (the "March News Release"), which reported an Indicated Mineral Resource of 23.37 million ounces (Moz) of gold equivalent (AuEQ) grading 1.13 g/t AuEQ and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 7.35 Moz of AuEQ grading 0.98 g/t AuEQ. In addition to the northern step-out drilling at the Goldstorm Deposit, the Company plans to carry out exploration drilling at the Perfectstorm Zone ("PSZ") to follow up on six drill holes that were drilled in 2020 and 2021 which all intercepted gold and silver mineralization, highlighted by hole PS-21-06 which returned 118 m of 0.66 g/t gold, 3.69 g/t silver including 31.5 m of 0.84 g/t gold, 6.09 g/t silver. PSZ is a gold-dominant mineralized system measuring 1.3 kilometers (km) in strike length and is located approximately 2.5 km southwest of the Goldstorm Deposit and approximately 2.5 km northeast of Seabridge Gold's Iron Cap Deposit near the southwestern boundary of the Treaty Claim block.

The Treaty Creek Project hosts the Goldstorm Deposit, a large gold-copper porphyry system, as well as several other mineralized zones. As disclosed in the March News Release, the Goldstorm Deposit has an Indicated Mineral Resource (as defined in NI 43-101) of 23.37 Moz of AuEQ grading 1.13 g/t AuEQ (18.75 Moz gold grading 0.91 g/t, 2.18 Blbs copper grading 0.15 %, 112.4 Moz silver grading 5.45 g/t) and an Inferred Mineral Resource (as defined in NI 43-101) of 7.35 Moz of AuEQ grading 0.98 g/t AuEQ (5.54 Moz gold grading 0.74 g/t, 0.85 Blb copper grading 0.16 %, 45.08 Moz silver grading 5.99 g/t), with a pit constrained cut-off of 0.5 g/t AuEQ and an underground cut-off of 0.7 g/t AuEQ. CS-600 has an Indicated Mineral Resource of 9.86 Moz AuEQ grading 1.10 g/t AuEQ (6.22 Moz gold grading 0.70 g/t, 1.98 Blbs copper grading 0.32 %, 51.1 Moz silver grading 5.71 g/t) and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 3.71 Moz AuEQ grading 1.19 g/t AuEQ (2.32 Moz gold grading 0.75 g/t, 0.76 Blb copper grading 0.36 %, 18.71 Moz silver grading 6.01 g/t). The Goldstorm Deposit remains open in all directions and requires further exploration drilling to determine the size and extent of the deposit.

2023.06.06 12:39 idymalgia PCbuild efficient/low power consumption, powered by solar electric system~ 2000 USD

Hi all, I welcome your suggestion how to build this PC based on requirements below.
I look for components for efficient/low power consumption PC build based on todays HW and future GPU upgrade around 2000 USD. I am off grid powered by solar with 10kWh lifepo4 battery bank. That is the reason why every watt counts. I work office job from home and if PC runs 12h/day (chill/gamming included) it adds up.
Battery bank will be expanded to 15kWh so better GPU could be used, but not now.
3 months in year I have no sun, home fuel electric power plant charges batteries every 3-6 days depends on power consumption of household.

GPUs are biggest problem in it. They are power hungry and their is not many option if you don't want to downscale much. But I am open to it.

General Frimpong had been pacing away the day for a while now. Nervous about the report being late. If anything had gone wrong, they were done for. This was in truth, a last resort. The Kryptionian invasion force was right on their doorstep. Trillions of mighty solar powered supermen, ready to tear apart the civilization general Frimpong held dear. A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.
“Come in,” he yelled.
The door to his office opened and in stumbled a man, holding a stack of papers that he was trying to keep balanced. As soon as he had reached the desk, he plumped down the package, and relieved swept the sweat of his brows.
“This is it, sir,” he saluted.
“Is everything in place, did everything work as planned?” asked a visibly anxious general.
The man looked at the general with smile as he proudly proclaimed. “Yes, project black-out is ready!”
After hearing the good news, general Frimpong forwent the paperwork and set out toward the executive chambers, where the team in charge of execution resided. Entering a frantic room, filled with scientists running about the place, the general scraped his throat.
“Ahum, I am here, personally, to oversee the execution!” he said, with as much authority as he felt was appropriate.
Every scientist stopped in the tracks and saluted the general.
“We’re ready to go, sir!” said one of them, that looked to be the lead of the bunch.
A female scientist that sat on a rotating stool in front of a board filled with buttons and switches, pushed a couple of things on one of the touchscreens. On the big screen centrally positioned in the room, appeared a view of their local star. Around the star were thousands of scattered metal shields, each with their own loading bar on the screen. Slowly the bars filled, signifying the readiness of the shield to be deployed.
“Ready, when you are, general!” said the scientist, hovering her hand above a big red button.
Everyone on the planet had been prepared. Rations and night goggles had been dispersed, as well as months of propaganda, warning the citizens of what was to come. It would be hard on them, but it was the only way.
“Ready!” roared the general.
With the push on the bottom all shield surrounding the star were activated. Each of them generated an extraordinarily powerful magnetic field, aimed to attract the nearest shield to them. As all the hexagonal metal behemoths slowly drifted towards each other, so were they pulled in by the gravity of the star they orbited. It didn’t take long for the majority of the light to be blocked out and with every passing second the rays that did escape, became smaller and smaller. Until finally, as all the pieces clicked together as intended, there was no more starlight. Their sun, that had shared his light with his people for millennia, now encapsulated by the Dyson-sphere. The general grabbed a set of night goggles from the table, as the room he was in was now only lit by the faint blue lights of the screens. He positioned the goggles until they fitted just right and said:

Following the wraith through fields and woodlands, Jill reaches a waterfall, slips and almost drowns – in the same spot where her mother drowned, thirty-odd years ago. It’s all downhill from there, when the farm burns down and Leo turns up dead.
Suddenly, Jill finds herself caught up in a web of intrigue and murder. Lurking among the neighbours and family who welcomed her back to her childhood home, is a killer. CHAPTER THREE
From downstairs crockery rattled; a female voice on the radio croaked about the joys of being lost in France. My daughter’s more dulcet tones drowned out the chorus with her own ‘Oh-la-la-las.’ Groaning, I rolled out of bed, then remembered it was the first of February today – I’d made it through January – at last!
Minutes later seated at the kitchen table, I stared with bleary eyed envy at the fruit of my womb. Oh, to be young again! Sophie’s light blonde hair was pulled back in a high pony tail, her clear green eyes sparkled, her cheeks glowed with health. Talk about bushy haired, bright eyed and eager to greet the day. Out-loud I said, ‘What time did you get in last night?’ ‘Oh don’t!’ Sophie rambled on about stopping someone for speeding, only to find the driver was disqualified and driving around with enough weed to be classified as a dealer. ‘Wouldn’t you think they’d at least stick to the speed limit? I mean! And it was ten minutes from dismissal. Instead I had to find a custody cell and start a report. This new system’s horrendous. It takes forever to load! In the writing room … oh, that reminds me. I need a couple of pens.’ She jumped up to rummage through kitchen drawers, still chattering on: ‘In the entire writing room, only one terminal in ten connects to our tablets …’ her voice trailed away. A drawer slammed shut. ‘Mum, what’s this?’ She pointed the envelope towards me as though it were a warrant. I squinted, then waved it away. ‘Nothing. Nothing to do with you.’
‘It’s from a solicitor.’
‘I know.’
‘A solicitor in Sussex.’ She slapped the envelope onto the table, directly in front of me.
I stifled a yawn. ‘I know. Any chance of a cuppa?’
‘Don’t change the subject.’ She folded her arms. ‘It’s something to do with your granddad isn’t it?’ The old bastard who’d rehomed me like an unwanted puppy after my mum’s death. I smiled grimly, pushed back from the table and nudged at Sophie to step away from the worktop where the kettle lived. Knowing as soon as my back was turned, she’d pounce on the envelope. ‘So he’s finally kicked the bucket. He’s probably left me some hideous knick-knacks. I’m not interested.’ Amazingly, my hand didn’t shake as I poured boiling water into the mugs; then hurriedly added a tea-bag to each. I glanced over my shoulder, hoping Sophie hadn’t noticed my senior moment. She wouldn’t have noticed if an elephant had waltzed in and demanded breakfast. The torn envelope was on the table, the letter in Sophie’s hand. Good. She could deal with whatever it was the solicitor wanted. Or give me a synopsis. I slopped the tea-bags into the sink and reached for the biscuit barrel. ‘Mum … mum …’ Sophie’s voice sounded hollow, as though summoned from the bottom of her stomach. I turned; she clutched the letter in one hand, the other clutched, white knuckled at the table. Oh lawd, the old man had died and somehow saddled me with all his debts. ‘What is it? What’s wrong?’ I demanded. Wide eyes fixed on me, Sophie whispered, ‘He’s left you everything. Lower Beechcroft Farm, outbuildings, land, fishing rights, it’s all yours. You’re a property millionaire.’ I stumbled over to the nearest chair, missed the seat and went sprawling to the floor. ‘Mum!’ Sophie crouched beside me, while I shook my head in disbelief. Unexpected tears stung against my cheeks. No more pretending to care about the displays of cheese at Fresh Fields … I can sign this house over to Sophie, maybe even pay off the remainder mortgage. Things seemed to be getting serious between her and Robert … most likely he’d move in, but that was none of my business … Reading from the same hymn sheet, Sophie sang, ‘No more crappy jobs for you, you’ll be lady of the manor, have a few paying guests, a few cream teas…’ ‘Wine evenings!’ I corrected and suddenly we were laughing through the tears, hugging each other tightly. At that moment, a voice echoed from the hallway. ‘What’s wrong? Has someone died?’
Sophie recovered first. ‘Hi Uncle Leo – no … well, yes, but no-one we really knew.’ Grasping Sophie’s arm I hauled myself up with a warning squeeze and an urgent shake of my head to say keep quiet. ‘Leo. What do you want?’ I stared accusingly at my ex-fiancé. Long ago, back in the dark ages, we’d been briefly engaged. By brief, I mean blink and you’d miss it. Part of his charm had been the easy going friendship he’d formed with a then fourteen year old Sophie – she’d started calling him ‘Uncle’ off her own bat. As for the other part of his charm … that would be the easy going friendship he formed with other women. Neat crew cut hair, twinkly blue eyes and a talent for making knock-off gear from the local market look like designer clobber, Leo had a lot going for him. And he was right – I couldn’t blame him if other women found him irresistible. What I did blame him for was his inability to resist sleeping with them – in my bed – on my sheets! At first I wanted to kill him. But that was long ago. These days, I tolerated him, because to give the devil his due, he’s always been decent to Sophie. ‘Wow, that’s not very welcoming. I can drop by to see the most beautiful girl in the world, can’t I?’ He grinned, hitched a buttock onto the table, and corrected himself, ‘The two most beautiful girls in the world.’ He did look good, in a pale pink shirt, grey blazer and faded denim jeans. But I hardened my heart. ‘It’s my house, Leo. You don’t just walk in.’ Sophie shot me a half-pleading, half-warning look. ‘I’ve got a court appearance today. Uncle Leo wanted to use the car, so he said he’d drive me into court, and pick me up.’ The car was in Sophie’s name – but Leo had put the money for it up front – so I could hardly say anything. ‘Well, he should at least knock.’ ‘Yes, mum. Sorry, mum. Can you wait outside, Uncle Leo? I’ll be ten minutes.’ She rushed for the stairs and thundered up to her room.
Making no move to haul his arse off the table, Leo swung his leg and smiled at me. ‘If you’re trying to get your feet back under my table, forget it!’ I said crossly, and felt even crosser when he laughed. Trying to ignore him, I slammed around the kitchen, pulling out a Tupperware pre-packed with sandwiches from the fridge and adding a banana, before making fresh coffee for Sophie to take – Neasden magistrates’ courts didn’t have a café, only vending machines. ‘Tea for me. Two sugars,’ Leo quipped. ‘You were told to wait outside.’ ‘Jill, don’t be like this.’ Settling back further on the table, he twisted his head to peer at the opened post. ‘Off the table.’ I folded the all-important letter back into the envelope. ‘Hmm, solicitors, eh? Who have you pissed off now? And why were you on the floor, crying?’ Laughing, and any tears were tears of joy. ‘Off the table, for the last time!’ I snapped. The coffee perked; I decanted it into a travel mug, and added, ‘If you must know, I’ve got the sack. So I’m broke.’ Hands on hips, I taunted, ‘Can you lend me two hundred quid?’ We glared at each other. Sophie walked in, breaking the tension, 'Mum? Uncle Leo?' With a quick smile for Sophie, who looked so smart and official in her best uniform, I handed over the lunchbox and travel mug, ‘Knock ‘em dead. Take care.’ Sophie kissed my forehead, 'Thanks, Mum. It’s all on body-worn and I’ve made the case watertight. This guy’s an idiot trying his luck. Anyhow, I'll call you later.’ That meant Sophie was staying over at Robert's tonight. I forced a tight smile and nodded. Puckering his lips, Leo leaned in for a kiss. I turned away. He chuckled and followed Sophie into the lounge. The front door slammed shut; a childish parting shot from my ex-fiancé. 'Arsehole,' I muttered.
With the house to myself, I examined the letter – twice. It looked kosher. If it was a joke, I was about to find out. Pen and paper ready, I tapped the solicitor’s number into my phone, took a deep breath, and pressed dial.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking public feedback on DOE’s draft Critical Materials Assessment. This RFI is being issued by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE)’s Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO), with the purpose of improving the DOE Critical Materials Assessment prior to finalization.
Specifically, this RFI seeks input on the following Areas of Interest:
  • Data and Information to Support Revision of Analysis
  • Improvements to the Methodology

Historically, the Critical Materials Assessment has informed DOE’s priorities for research activities. The dynamic nature of criticality necessitates ongoing updates to the Assessment. Since DOE released its first Critical Materials Strategy in 2010, DOE’s research portfolio has expanded into a Critical Materials Research, Development, Demonstration, and Commercialization Application (RDD&CA) Program. DOE anticipates updating the Critical Materials Assessment every three years to reflect the most current data and market conditions underlying the methodology.
Inclusion on DOE’s critical materials for energy list will inform crosscutting priorities including Critical Materials RDD&CA Program priorities and eligibility for the Inflation Reduction Act 48C tax credit.

CENTENNIAL, Colo., August 17, 2022— The “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022,” signed into law by President Biden this week, includes multiple financial and tax incentives designed to encourage greater production of critical minerals in the U.S. Virtually all of the critical minerals NioCorp Developments Ltd. (“NioCorp” or the “Company”) (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) intends to produce as part of its Elk Creek Critical Minerals Project in Nebraska (the “Project”) would be eligible for new tax credits once the Project is financed and placed into commercial production.****ALSO UNDER- Other Provisions That Could Benefit NioCorpOther provisions of the law are aimed at encouraging greater production of critical minerals in the U.S.:$40 billion commitment authority for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Innovative Technology Loan Guarantee Program (Title XVII), on top of DOE’s existing commitment authority of approximately $24 billion. The Innovative Technologies Loan Guarantee Program authorizes loan guarantees for projects that (1) “avoid, reduce, utilize, or sequester” air pollutants or anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases; and (2) employ “new or significantly improved technologies” as compared to commercial technologies in service in the United States at the time the guarantee is issued.

The committee believes the United States industrial base for the supply and processing of the critical mineral scandium has significant vulnerabilities. The committee also believes that the United States should seek to eliminate dependence on Chinese and Russian sources of scandium, with support from allies and partners. Accordingly, public and private sectors should cooperate closely to establish scandium processing facilities in the United States. Therefore, the committee directs the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of Commerce, to provide a briefing to the House Committee on Armed Services not later than May 1, 2023, on public and private sector activities, working with allied nations, to establish scandium processing facilities in the United States, especially facilities based on more efficient, cleaner, and less energy intensive technologies. This briefing will also include how these processing facilities will help the United States reduce dependence on and compete more effectively with China and Russia.
Department of Defense on NIOBIUM PAGE #250 ~Control of Niobium by the Chinese Communist Party~
The committee is concerned by recent investments in global niobium production made by firms under the ownership, control, or influence of the Chinese Communist Party (“CCP”). Niobium is a critical mineral needed for the production of superalloys in jet and rocket engines, critical components in defense systems and hypersonic vehicles, and other emerging technologies. CCP control of niobium and a lack of a domestic capability within the United States present a national security risk similar to risks in the rare earth mineral markets. Therefore, the committee directs the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment to provide a briefing to the House Committee on Armed Services by December 31, 2022, on current global sources of supply of niobium along with a cost-benefit analysis of establishing a domestic supply of high purity niobium oxides. The briefing shall:(1) differentiate between ferroniobium and high-purity niobium (the critical niobium oxide precursor);(2) address the possibility of using underutilized byproduct niobium feed stocks from coproduced materials in the United States to strengthen the domestic industrial base for other key refractory materials such as tantalum; and(3) include a list of defense programs that are significant users of niobium or where niobium is a critical component.
Department of Defense Access to TITANIUM on pages #250 & #253 ~Establishment of Efficient Titanium Processing Facilities in the United States~
The committee is concerned that the United States industrial base for the supply and processing of the critical mineral titanium has significant vulnerabilities, including dependence on strategic competitors for the supply and processing of titanium. The committee believes that the United States should seek to eliminate dependence when it comes to the supply and processing of titanium, with support from allies and partners. Furthermore, the committee believes the public and private sectors should cooperate closely to establish titanium processing facilities in the United States or in other trusted partner countries. Therefore, the committee directs the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the heads of other appropriate Federal departments, to submit to the House Committee on Armed Services an unclassified briefing not later than December 31, 2022, that includes:(1) a description of the public and private sector activities to cooperate and establish efficient titanium processing facilities in the United States or in trusted partner countries; and(2) an analysis of how such facilities will help the United States reduce dependence on strategic competitors\**.**\**

Weekend in the Tara Mountains - Tarweek Guesthouse

Milan Miletich invited us to relax in his home on Mount Tara in Serbia. There was no need to beg us to go to the mountains. Two weeks later, we found ourselves there, and now I am writing a detailed review of the trip and the place.
Before the trip, we saw a lot of photos of the location and scrolled through the Instagram of the house (yes, the house is not simple and has a profile on Instagram!) The place is called Tarweek.

Can you get to Tarweek?

There is a bus to Bajina Bašta (Bajina Bašta) from the central bus station in Belgrade. If at the bus station ticket office, you were sent to the bus driver to get a ticket, don't forget to buy a ticket at the ticket office to get to the buses. This fee is for the use of the bus station infrastructure. If the key is sold at the ticket office, you can pass the turnstile with it.
The ride to Baina Bashta takes 4:30 hours. Halfway there is a cozy roadside cafe with a store and restrooms. The drivers will sit for a soup plate; you have 20 minutes for a snack. The hot meals are simple and wonderful.
In Baina Bashta, Milan Miletic will call you a cab home. Tarweek is actually at 1000 meters and along the winding 20+ kilometers. It is unlikely to get there.
There is a serpentine with beautiful views. Halfway up, you'll have a dam and a few kilometers of fantastic views of Lake Perućac (Jezero Peruquac). If the cab driver likes you, he will stop at the observation point and give you a moment for a photo.

These views are already enough to make the 5-hour drive here. But actually, the most exciting thing is ahead!
A cab will take you to Predov Krst, and you will find yourself in front of Tarweek - Planinarski dom na Tari.

What is Tarweek, and why are you most likely to be here?

Tarweek is a big house set up for group classes. It's big enough for 20 people. But if you need to, they'll put more people in. I once had 28 people living there.

The first floor is the dining room and porch with a fireplace. This is where they study when it's cool and raining.
But the most exciting thing is the outdoor activities.
I'll tell you about nature separately because that's the main thing to come here for!
What kind of activities are there in Tarweek? Any kind.
  • Athletic trainers hold training camps here.
  • Coaches teach classes.
  • Language teachers conduct language courses.
  • IT people are taking a break from civilization.
  • Companies hold team building and corporate events.
  • And shamans pump up their shamanic levels.
In Tarweek you can do any group training. In general, any! The essence is that the group gathers away from the city, away from civilization, in the woods, and works hard on what is needed.
At Tarweek, you can relax with a large group of people. Or you can not rest but plunge on a run or walk the slopes of hiking trails. It's where hiking fans go. Because Tarweek is the heart of Tara National Park. Many viewpoints have heady views of mountains, canyons, and forests. And you'll have to get to these viewpoints on your own: several (tens) of miles and hundreds of feet up.

What are the living conditions at Tarweek?

Before you move in, they will discuss meals with you. There is a professional kitchen with cooks. They will buy groceries for you and feed you as you order. Vegan, gluten-free, and other self-limiting topics are worked out. But the food is so good, you'll ask for the illegal stuff yourself! It happens regularly; I didn't come up with anything.
The living conditions are thoughtfully Spartan. No one will make you wash in the creek; your room has a shower, toilet, and hot water. A bed and clean linens are provided. But to live by two or three. The laundry is centralized in a washing machine. Have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on schedule: and go to the nearest store 25 kilometers and 700 meters down the serpentine.
You will have a communal table and classes in front of the fireplace or the pavilion by the hearth.
You will have the most delicious air. You will have glorious food. You'll have nothing to distract you from your goals. Nothing will distract you from why you are here.

The Nature of Tara

The nature you find yourself in is the essence of this place. The nature of Tara is what you are here for. Tara is covered with forest: pine trees mixed with deciduous trees. The temperature here is very comfortable in the summer compared to the heat in the city. We caught a rainy day, and it was beautiful! We saw a sunny day, and it was terrific!

Forests and valleys with meadows surround Tarweek. There are hiking and trekking trails in all directions from the house. There are so many that you'd have to live here for two months to explore them all and walk twenty trails every day. Walking the entire Tara is a challenge!
We've been running. We walked after our runs. We saw some lovely places! Where the experience makes you reflect when you haven't seen that before.
We were told that we had been to pop places. And the leading beauty is farther and higher.
Describing it all in words is useless. I'll show you what I took with my iPhone over the weekend. What's sad, the camera doesn't capture the volume, the smells, the scale, and the spirit of the place.

What did we do on Tara?

Since we came to visit as friends and not for training, our leisure time was our concern. We ran the trails. I wanted to try trail running; I tried it. Gravel roads with varying difficulty climb and descents, continuous oxygen cocktail, and thin air 1000 meters above sea level. After the training, you eat, sleep, and do nothing—a concentrated, uncluttered rest.
The kids had two happy days.
We cleared our minds and crammed a week's worth of life into two days. Suddenly you realize that sitting at sunset with a cup of tea and watching a cloud puff up on top of a mountain is what happiness is all about. It turns out that you don't need much to be happy.
You can walk, talk about everything in the world and fit into one day three times more time and events than in everyday life. All the problems and worries remain about 1000 meters below, and here you have everything to be happy.

How do you organize something in Tarweek?

If you're a coach, trainer, or business owner, and you've got a group session in mind, and the only question is location, consider isolating your mentees so they can get a better handle on your knowledge. I can't think of a better place to do this than Tarweek.
Everything I've been told about past training camps is a consistent win-win success. Tarweek has proven itself, supports, and develops, and the guests get a concentration of knowledge and skills that are hard to pack into a more convenient form.

I was let go today. I had one day left of my two weeks notice. I really loved my kids and families, parents were so upset to find out I was leaving! But I have never worked in a place with such horrible horrible management and people who genuinely shouldn't be working with children. I was never trained on how this center does things. Id find out the day of or days after lesson plans were due or this or that. Instead of informing me and teaching me though Id be treated stupid and told I should know these things. I also recently had to report another teacher to CPS for pretending like she was going to hit the children to scare then into submission. Ive heard her tell the children she will throw their lovies in the garbage, tell children they are stupid, and during a transition period she sent me a child back to my classroom covered in poop literally from his shoes to his neck AFTER her assistant came in to get a change of pants saying he got his pants wet. He came in in the same clothes horrible blistered diaper rash. Management made me call mom myself and lie to her saying he just got a diaper rash from diarrhea. Management knows all of this yet she continues to work there. Ive been made to work out shifts dizzy, foggy, and sick because my temperature wasnt high enough. Sometimes there would be no way to get a hold of someone up front. I had a girl have an allergic reaction in my room one time and I had to call 3 times to get a hold of someone. I was lucky to get a hold of anyone at all! My classroom is 2 to 16 toddlers but my assistant is a young girl related to management. She just sits on the floor only with her favorite children. Doesnt help maintain the classroom. If im changing diapers I also have to be watching all 15 other children because she wont intervene during fights or when children climb on furniture. She doesnt properly wipe the childrens bottoms when they poop. When I bring these problems up to management Im told because of her anxiety sometimes she doesnt want to do things you ask her to do because it freaks her out and I wouldn't understand. I have severe anxiety too but if i was too scared to wipe a childs bottom correctly Id say this wasnt the job for me. But she is related to management so I said feeling as if i were 1 to 16. This specific center is also going to sue Georgias Bright From the Start because of citations they had to pay a fine for because "they didnt get sited before for those things." The last straw was when I had a kid accidentally cover me in poop when he had a blowout. When I finally got a hold of the front office they asked me to just wipe it off my shirt. When I expressed that it wouldnt just wipe off I was told theyd figure something out. I stood by the phone for 30 minutes before calling again and asking what theyd like me to do. They asked if i had a change of clothes. I did not as they had recently told us they send us home for not having our shirts embroidered and i could only afford to get this one shirt done. They again said they'd figure something out. They didn't. Anytime i'd call i wouldnt get an answer. I was made to work two and a half hours in my classroom covered in poop. Embarrassing having parents pick up their children while i'm trying not to get too close to the children because i'm literally covered in poop. After that day I put in my two weeks and was told i was "being ridiculous leaving after just one mistake." I told them I have every intention of just working out my two weeks in a respectful manner. Today was my second to last day. Morning was great and the kids were in great moods! I had a lot of parents express their sadness in me leaving. When nap time rolls around I decide to get a head start on packing my items I had bought for the walls and for activities and such. I get a call from management telling me "I was told youre packing up your stuff" "Yep! I decided to do a little today so Im not doing it all tomorrow" "You arent allowed to take any of your stuff home if it came here" Hundred of dollars worth of supplies I had gotten as an investment in my teaching career as I plan do this for the rest of my life, and theyre telling me Im not allowed to take any of it home. Im reasonable upset and having an anxiety attack! I get called into the managers office and told that im being ridiculous for crying and to act like an adult. Im told the rulebook states we cant being outside items in and when I ask to see in the rulebook she tells me that she doesnt have one on hand. I insisted. She went through every page slowly and read off multiple passages that I told her do not say what she is saying. She must think Im stupid. She then tells me it must be in the orientation video then! Which I inform is absolutely is not the case. She then informs me that my assistant had gone up to the front and told them I was stealing classroom items! I was so shocked! She also said I was being mean to her and she didnt want to work with me the rest of the day! I couldnt believe it! I was sent outside to calm down and when I came back in i was told my assistant had backtracked and said I wasnt mean to her just that I was emotional about the situation and it made her uncomfortable. I was also informed that she was convinced i was stealing megablocks that I bought as tabletoys for children who wake up early from nap. I told them that they are mine but they arent worth all of this and I just want my handmade activities and my books! Theyre now saying that they get to keep them in their office for now and decide what I get to take home but itll be two weeks from now as the current director is on a cruise. They then told me I was being too emotional and that they want to part ways active immediately even though theyre devastated to lose me and i really blindsided them when i put in my two weeks. Im genuinely horrified about everything that happened. Ive never worked in any job before where Ive been treated like that. I don't expect to get my stuff back. Hundreds of dollars of my own supplies and activities. Im genuinely traumatized. I start at a new center on Wednesday with a payraise and a coteacher. Im praying that this is even slightly better. I know this is a long post but people in childcare dont get the stress of this job. I feel so defeated after today.
TLDR Center I was working at had abusive teachers and horrible management. Working for hours covered in poop without a change of clothes was the last straw and I put in my two weeks. They wont let me take supplies I bought home and accused me of stealing.

Tutorial: How to have fun with Greece and the East Roman Republic
So a lot of posts keep appearing in my feed (damn you algorithms, for showing me what I want!!) that Greece is not the hot potato, compared to say... Bulgaria.
And while I won't get into arguments about which focus tree is objectively better, I much prefer to play Greece. In fact, I consider it my favorite country in the whole game.
Why?
Because its big enough to have its owns unique buffs and flavors, but small enough that you can get through ALL the good stuff well before Germany kicks things off.
Compare that to Bulgaria's massive, powerful, but ultimately bloated focus tree. There is some great stuff in there, but good luck getting to it before The Big One gets rolling. You'd be lucky to grab one eco focus before jumping back to the political side.
Whereas in Greece, and this post, I'm going to show you how to form Byzantium with an industry relative to Italy by the time Poland refuses Danzig, allowing you multiple paths to get your Triumphs.
But as always, lets hit the basics:
Opening Moves:
  1. House Arrest
  2. Basic Research Selection (Electronics, Tools, and Construction)
  3. Queue up two CIVs
  4. Build 12 Convoys (for a nice round 100)
  5. Swap that Horse div for an Infantry div
  6. Exercise your fleet until you have ~50 Naval XP (trade oil if you want; it won't hurt your non-existent economy)
  7. And Start "Devaluating that Drachma"
So, if all goes well with the RNG gods, we should have Eleftherios back and about 144 PP to spend.
Let's spend some of that by picking this guy:
You know, I keep thinking that's Washington's Portrait. LOL.
This guy is going to allow you to grab every Greece Achievement (aside from the stupid Hellenic Civility) in one run.
But for now, his PP and Stab boost are the most important right now.
As for Technology, keep industry up to date, pick up trains, and invest heavily into cheap CAS. Its going to be your best friend by the time your war with Turkey kicks off. You should have engine-2 CAS-36 with double bombs ready for production by the time you've assigned the necessary factories to guns/art/eng.
Use the rest of the prep time to upgrade your guns, arty, and to pick up radios. You'll even have time to grab a '36 cruisers with that fourth research slot.
A Word about Poor Eleftherios:
I wish this bastard had a more consistent death rate. I've had him die as soon as I hit un-pause. I've had him live to see Byzantium Reborn.
The point is, you have three choices:
  • Risk the RNG gods and keep restarting until he lives long enough for you to pay off your debt, and "Crush the Monarchists,"
  • Spend your next batch of PP on the previously mentioned "Crush the Monarchists," for the needed War Support, but slowing down your ability to pay off your debt
  • Take the middle ground of sending an attache to Spain. The trouble of course is getting the PP and the Command Power.
The Monarchists will become friendly again once you complete that Political Focus, but for now, its a quick way to get some War Support.
I live for the first, hate the second, but settle for the third. Its up to you and how short your temper is.
Moving on...
Economical National Focus Path:
Now, I know all the big shot YouTubers are all about the "Open Foreign Subsidized Factories," but did you know that those eight factories don't come with extra building slots? Considering how premium real estate is in Eastern Europe, that sucks.
So instead, we're going down the proverbial right path to grab 12 OFFMAP Civs.
Here's how we're going to do it:
I love 9b for naval games, but if its not for you, just pick 9a.
Its pretty straightforward. Don't start paying off your debt until you are to able to do so in bulk. The PP cost is the same, but the recharge time is much shorter. If you get extremely lucky, and Eletherios is still alive, you should be debt free when it comes time for the big focus.
Autarky is nice too, especially, since we plan to never remove, nor change the Schachtplan. -10% CGs AND 15% CIV speed for a small malus to trade and eco laws? Shut up and take my Resources!
By the time you have "Expanded Our Tobacco Industry," we should have enough CIVs to start making an intel agency. Get the Departments that increase our Civ Intelligence so that we can spy on Turkey. Its critical that we know when they are about to take "Abuse the Office of Soil Products."
This is also a good time to grab your Naval Flexible Contracts so that you can get the "Royal Hellenic Naval Shipyard on the cheap. Spend your remaining Naval XP to create a good '36 destroyer.
I also know that the big shots love to "Mobilize the Economy," but since we're finishing out the eco tree first, we don't have the War Support or the PP to get a War Economy going so early. Besides, That tourism gives some juicy boosts that you get to enjoy for the next year or so:
Keep an eye on that CG Factories Number, its going to become important later.
Alright, assuming Eleftherios is still in charge, you've paid off your debt, and are ready to become "The Bedrock of Balkan Financial Stability."
Start improving with nations until you have the following approval:
  • Yugo, Hungary, Albania = 65
  • Turkey, Romania, Austria = 90
  • Czechoslovakia = 100
Don't bother with Bulgaria. Only Non-Aligned Greece can break the threshold.
I added 15 for padding due to the ticking removal, because the last thing you want to do is spend another 10 PP to start improving again.
Once you have positive PP gain, go ahead and Crush the Monarchists for the War Support. Eleftherios isn't looking so well.
When its all said and done:
That's embarrasing...
And its only going to get better once we "Rejuvenate Athens" and Crack down on those monopolies.
Its at this point that I like to "Improve Worker Conditions" to avoid Strikes when we go to war with Turkey, though its up to you. You may not be able to if Eleftherios is gone, but if he's still here, go ahead and eat the industry hit.
Because once we get down to the bottom, here's what we get to play with:

Now that's what I call seed money. Who needs Consumer goods when you've got Tourism and a revanchist population? In freaking 37' on Partial Mobilization??!!!! As a democracy??!!!
Would you believe me if I told you that you're going to fill in every one of your build slots with time to spare?

Military Industry Order:
So, while you build factories, here's where you are going to put them:
Transports are just a placeholder. I'm still researching my CAS.
Thanks to Limited Exports, the Schachtplan doesn't hurt too much, but eventually, you will need to trade for steel and rubber, and aluminum.
Alright, while this works in the background, here's the next set of focuses you need to grab:
Yup, you still have time, unlike a certain other neighbor...
These focuses will provide you with Army XP to get Relief of Command, meaning you can hire Niklolaos Plastiras for 100 PP instead of 200 PP, plus an extra 25% army xp buff, Navy XP for playing around with the Navy some more if you like, and Air XP to build your CAS planes.
The Hellenic Navy also gives three dockyards, which while useful on its own keeping away Turk naval invasions, will put you that much closer to getting 6 MORE Offmap Civ Factories from the UK, all the while not hurting your CG count since you decided to fix your industry first.
Now, and only now, are you ready to Bring Back the Exiled Republicans and get the Second Greek War of Unification going.
Its a straight shot down to Horror and Fear, but you'll pick up some nice batches of PP as you go along. I got lucky in this playthrough, since Eleftherios is still around, but if you are stuck with Themostikles, you should still have enough PP for the following:
  • Metaxas for that PP and Factory Boost.
  • Plastiras so you can reorganize your divisions.
  • Phaliron Aircraft for better CAS damage.
  • Napoleon and your GBP before you flip to the gamers.
  • War Economy and Extensive Conscription when the coup occurs.
  • Befriending the Commies (if Eleftherios is still miraculously alive)
Speaking of the Gamers, you can take as many gamer options as you want, because your democracy boy has been building up a massive stockpile of support in the background; just make sure it doesn't fall under 60%. Remember, the Heraklion convention will only fail if you go into coalition with the EEE, no matter what decisions you take regarding the rowdy brownboys.
But there's still a little bit of house cleaning we need to take care of.
Between "Venerate the Ancient Hellenes" and "The Anotolian Refugees," your MILS should be completed, leaving your country without any more build slots. Has that ever happened before? You can build Infrastructure to get more resources, or airfields in Thrace to get more CAS Cover, but here's the most important buildings:
If you want to fight in Thrace, you need to build those depots.
These depots will allow you to fight the Turk Army man to man, without any of those silly naval invasions that get convoy raided to death. Build your rail to level three if you have the time, but its imperative to get those depots going.
Don't forget your one-time use of the 300% depot build speed.
Now, let's organize who's going to be fighting on said front.
Here's what your Mountaineers should look like:
Missing a Mountaineer is okay. They have extra org to make up for it.
These will be great when you break into Anatolia. A Good left fist.
Here's what your Tagmata Shocktroopers should look like:
Standard 9/4 Hammer to break the Bosporus
Just save as your Mainstay Infantry Div and add on the arty. A Good right fist.
Here's what your Cavalry (wait what?) should look like:
Bet you didn't see this coming, huh?
These will be the fast little bastards that play the encirclement game with the poor AI. And the arty will give them enough teeth to play dirty. Just be sure you assign them low priority so that your shock troops and mainstay Divs receive replenishment first.
And to help out your boys, here's what's going to be flying over their heads:
Since Turkey's Army Air Force sucks, this will be just fine.
Let's put it all together for the following breakdown:
  • 3 Mountaineers Divisions
  • 4 Tagmata Shock Troops Divisions
  • 10 Mainstay Infantry Divisions
  • 7 Calvary Divisions
  • With 300+ CAS Support
Okay, its coup time.
While the Heraklion Convention is on its way to failure, pull up Turkey's Focus. If you've done everything right, its early January 1939, and Turkey is starting to "Reconfigure Turkish Foreign Policy."
And when the Heraklion Convention fails, you'll get refunded 10 days of focus time. As soon as Turkey's focus has between 26-59 days left, take "Horror and Fear" and enjoy as Turkey has no one guaranteeing them!
During that 60-day period, grab State Serves the Military, Extensive Conscription, War Economy, and Befriend the Communists (if Eleftherios is still kicking), once the coup occurs, and arrange your forces like so:
Note that we will defend the Aegan islands.
Its a small force, but its more than enough to win the day. Four of your mainstay divs will hold a significant amount of the Turk army in Anatolia, while you practice the good old Thrace cheese maneuver that Paradox tried to kill with the new supply system, supported by your CAS raining fire down from above.
The good old days are back, baby!!!!
Side-note: If you want to do the Bittersteel/Hatlessspider method, this will still work, just use your barely existent industry to build a port instead of a depot on the border for the needed supply, and remove one div from each of the islands for the mainland campaign. This will avoid the messy need for naval invasions.
A Splendid Little War
Once the focus is completed, slow it down to 3-Speed, you don't want to make a mistake or miss encirclement of opportunities.
First, let the AI lose their entrenchment trying to force your lines. As soon they fail, hit makeshift bridges and counter attack, using your Mainstays and Cavalry to pin the flanks.
You want to aim for this:

With a kill/death ratio like so:

Now, you can take the fight to Anatolia with your superior industry and divisions, or you can cheese the port encirclement and Constantinople encirclement like in the old days.
Since I love efficiency, I always go for the cheese.
Once you feel confident, you can take the war to Anatolia. Use your shock troops to break their lines, rush cavalry to force encirclements, and let your CAS work in the background. The war should last less than 140 days.

They may have more MILs, but guess who has 0% CGs for the remainder of the game?
The Future:
Here's where I leave you, in Jun 1939. Its 2 seconds to midnight, and the world will change depending on your actions.
Do you supplant Italy as Germany's secondary partner, driving the Allies out of Africa, and then ultimately, to London itself?
Do you go back to the "historical," let the Italians declare war on you, and fight a bloody, but much more successful war in the Balkans, hoping for table scraps from the useless Allies?
Or do you think big?
Do you take that NAP with Italy and use the next two years to build up your economy and forces?
Do you play footsie with the UK to grab 6 Offsite CIVs? You already have 6+ dockyards?
Do you rush 40's fighters so you can fly "The Double Headed Aquila" with '44 fighters in '41-'42?
And ultimately, do you wait until all of the Balkans (including that annoying, tiny bit of Bessarabia) is being crushed under the weight of the Germans and friends, begging for a savior, and being ignored by a UK more interested in dying in Africa?
Do you, great Caesar, restore the Balkan themes by yourself? Constantly rejecting military access faction invites to the Allies and Soviets as you march to restore the occupied territory under the true Roman Banner?
But why stop at the Balkans? Can you truly be the Roman Empire without the Eternal City? Some of those locals don't think so, hence why if you land on their shores first, you'll gain their allegiance, and the path to restoring the heart of the empire is open.
But such ambitions require careful planning. You can't dally too long. The British are looming, wearing away the Regia Marina until the coasts are clear for intercession, and the Soviets will use any dastardly attempt to divert the Germans from the Motherland, even attempting an annoying naval invasion into Bulgaria.
So you have to get there first.
Get the max naval invasion tech, take Tip of the Spear, research the best marines, establish complete Air Dominance over the Balkans, and send in the naval hoards.
Start with Bessarabia. The Soviets forfeited their rights the moment they retreated. Bessarabia deserves a government who won't enforce No Step Back.
Now comes the tricky part, my Caesar. The Adriatic is full of ports practically begging for Allies landings. You must strike first. Hit the Italian peninsula, rally the Italian yoke to their false king, push north to the Eternal City and into the North, but do not cap them, for the beleaguered partisans of Yugoslavia will rise up and throw a sticky mess into your plans.
Instead, hold at Emilia Romagna, then send off the marines to the opposite end of the Adriatic. Rush the foolish AI where they least expect it. Take the ports, and cut off any attempt for the freedom loving Allies to reestablish the amalgamation that WAS Yugoslavia, and you'll have done it.
The path for a Triumph of the Balkans is open. Now you must only push until the frontiers are secured.
And victory will be yours, for quite little World Tension in the peace deal, I might add...
