I was thinking about the Boruto story since it's nearing the end of Pt. 1 next week and was trying to piece together how old Boruto is in the anime. On the Naruto wiki, it says that he's 12 by the time of the Verses Momoshiki Arc in the anime, but with everything that's happened since; from the Mitsuki Disappearance Arc to the current Code Arc, how OLD is Boruto?
I would say that he's at least around 13-14 years old just based on the fact that in the Academy and early arcs, he seemed to be around 10-12 years old.

I'm considering reapplying to Clinical Psychology PhD programs this year but I'm not sure yet.
In 2021, I applied to 6 PhD programs and got rejected from all of them. I didn't get a single interview. I was told by a PI that I had a strong application but I needed more independent research experience in my area of interest. Another PI just said I needed to keep doing what I was doing.
I did get accepted to a Master's program but I turned down the offer to go work full-time as a Project Coordinator at my local VA Medical Center. I've been in my current role at the VA for a year.
I graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in Psychology (3.6 GPA). I have 3 years of post-bacc research experience across 3 research labs and the VA. I was the Lab Manager for one of those labs for a year. I have 1 year of volunteer experience as a Crisis Counselor. I will have 7 poster presentations by the end of the year (3 first-author presentations). I have 2 papers and 1 book chapter in the works but I am not the first author on any of these. However, they are all in my area of interest (trauma and PTSD).
I haven't taken the GRE yet. Most of the programs that I looked at are not requiring it.
I'm considering applying to Master's programs in order to get more research experience and publications. However, most Master's programs don't offer funding.

I've purposefully left out names of dungeons, areas, NPC's & YT channels to avoid spoilers and the like.

I came across a video recently of someone running a L70+ dungeon (Torment difficulty) in a private test build of Diablo 4.
They were playing a ranged Rogue, level 61. It didn't look OP in any way and they even died a few times. The dungeon was at least 9 levels higher than their characters level. I'm not sure what 70+ means in regard to the dungeon's exact level.
I studied the pathing and the map which was opened only briefly a couple of times. So I decided to screenshot it and draw out the pathing just to see if there was as much back tracking as was observed in the beta.
I want to stress.. this player made a navigational error and missed the 2nd Cursed Flesh, requiring them to back track to find it. However, they decided to take another route (green pathway) and was blocked by a flesh wall. So then the player had to back track again, all the way around the map to the 4th objective which took some time to kill.
Hopefully the image is simple and clear enough to understand. I've written some important notes on the side to try and explain the pathing and an important step where the player missed a 'turn off' to one of the objectives, adding some extra back tracking. If there's a mistake, apologies.. it's after midnight!
Having played the beta myself, I also noticed the similar dungeon designs and mechanics. I am concerned how this will affect the end game since it's the main gear progression grind. I saw commenters stating that these dungeons are just the first Act, and that they'll improve in the later game.
L50+ is considered the start of the end game grind as that's when we unlock the Paragon board(s). We're supposed to finish the campaign at around L45. This dungeon is L70+ so I think it qualifies as at least mid end game, possibly even higher since max level is 100.
The crux of the matter is;
Kill 3 things, then kill a 4th thing, then click statue, survive an onslaught for 40 secs, go through a teleporter, kill 2 more things... and then I can only assume perhaps we get to the Boss. It's certainly a lot more than collecting 3 jewels and putting them on pedestals or collecting 2 keys and opening a door.. but is it much better?

I've had my cat, 19, since I was 5. She is a domestic long hair that we rescued, with no prior health concerns, and was spayed when she was first adopted by us.
About a year and a half ago, I noticed a small lump on her forehead. It seemed to be under the skin, and moved around as I felt the area.
I took her to a get immediately, but they said that 1) it was too small to get a sample of for testing and 2) just felt like a normal cyst and would probably go away on it's own.
Well, it didn't go away.
It has progressively gotten bigger ever since. At first it wasn't too extreme, but within the last year it's gotten massive compared to what it used to be.
It used to get to about 1/3-1/2 the size it is now, drain (I guess rupture, it seemed to deflate overnight) and then refill. Now it just swells and swells and hasn't shrunk down at all in months.
I took her to the vets half a dozen times and every time asked them to look at it and every time got the same useless non-answers.
About 6 months ago, she went under anesthesia to have some teeth removed. She is perfectly healthy, no issues at all, and pulled through flawlessly.
About a week ago, the vet said "oh we could probably remove the cyst but she'd have to go under for it".
I'm. Honestly really upset. My beautiful girl has this awful thing on her head and I'm afraid it's going to keep growing and hurt her or get infected, and for a year the vets didn't offer me any help or solutions. At the same time, I'm worried about having it removed because of her age.
I wish they would've offered to remove it when she had her other operation done. I didn't even know it was an option. I wish I had been more informed. I can't help but feel like either way I might be letting her down in the worst ways possible.
I don't know what to do, I'm so distressed over this. She could live a few months or a few years... and no one is any help at all, they keep shrugging at me and telling me they don't know what to do either.
Any advice would be appreciated.

For some reason the host of the meeting can’t connect and blamed there’s “something wrong” in the call. Leading to me getting escalated.
Our time zone is 12 hours apart. I left strict instructions for them yet this still happened.
Am I wrong for not being there outside my working hours?

I’ve had chronic pain in my knees for 40+ years. I’ve tried all sorts of things, nothing helped, so I constrained my life and tried to minimize the pain. My daily pain levels are so high that when my appendix exploded I thought it was bad trapped gas, which lead to losing 1.5 feet of small intestine and a chunk of stomach due to gangrene. But I live with it, because what else could I do.
But starting about 2 years ago I developed a pain right around my “sit bone”, which makes it impossible to sit for any length of time. And this is a bridge too far - when your life is constrained by knee pain, your major sports are kayaking and cycling, and now I can’t travel to see my daughters or grandchildren, I can’t go camping, I can’t go on trips. I had to retire because I couldn’t work at a desk, and also because i fall asleep all the time. All in all, a very boring and painful existence, spending much of my day lying in bed.
Unfortunately the area around your “sit bone” is a very complicated and busy place, and I’ve done therapies and procedures targeting the ischial tuberoscopy, the ischial bursa, the performis muscle, the quadralatis femoris muscle, the sciatic nerve, and probably a few other things as well. The imaging showed demylenization on the sciatic nerve and the nerve conduction study showed some problem there as well. I’m currently on Duloxetine which was prescribed for the nerve pain and didn’t help much, but did stop me researching suicide methods in the middle of the night while crying.
The last thing that happened was a kind of last-ditch effort, a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trial where they implant electrodes in your spine and tape a box to your back that puts electric signals through the electrodes. Unfortunately they only give you 5 days (because of the dangers of infection coming in through those electrodes) and I couldn’t find a program that gave me any relief in that time. The doctor who did the SCS can’t offer anything else to try, and won’t prescribe any pain meds. I’m taking double the maximum dose of naproxen and acetaminophen every day, and it still hurts like hell.
At this point, I’m ready to try anything. Has anybody tried medical marijuana or ketamine or any other medication or therapy?

We all seem to point the finger on other people and society so I'll go first.
Currently in a relationship but when I was single it was because I was mess. I was extremely polished, organized, well mannered, nice, doing well in regards to my job on the outside but internally was hollow, too submissive and agreeable, low self esteem and no confidence what so ever.
I constantly attracted bad friendships and with that bad relationship partners. But no one would have been able to know.
Digging deeper within myself and things I went through in my experiences I also realized the insecurities and traumas that I projected onto others making them be responsible for my problems.

It was fucking hard and still is but after doing so I truly did start attracting better.

Currently in a relationship but when I was single it was because I was mess. I was extremely polished, organized, well mannered, nice, doing well in regards to my job on the outside but internally was hollow, too submissive and agreeable, low self esteem and no confidence what so ever.
I constantly attracted bad friendships and with that bad relationship partners. But no one would have been able to know.
Digging deeper within myself and things I went through in my experiences I also realized the insecurities and traumas that I projected onto others making them be responsible for my problems.

I just finished Annihilation, and oh man... best book i have read in a long time, an instant favorite for sure.
Part of me really loved the ending and felt no need to push further, I kind of felt like i understood all that I needed to about Area X, and really enjoyed the open ended mysteries, like who the lighthouse keeper was. Im not sure I really want his backstory layed bare for me (which ive heard is explained in the third novel, but not enough to explain the Crawler), unless of course its really really interesting !
I guess im afraid somewhat of Authority and Acceptance over explaining all the mystery and ambiguity that i loved about Annihilation, and in such a clinical way that robs you of the awe and wonder it left.
The thing I enjoyed so much about the first book was how it conjured such a sense of existential admiration at the beauty of nature and all its terrifying complexities... I think most of that tone came from the Biologist's attitude and descriptions. Things were terrifying yes, but tempered by an understanding and appreciation of not knowing or comprehending certain forces. So far Authority, and Control, are somewhat stripping away that feeling and replacing it with a sort of grey depressing, narrow and stuffy viewpoint. Which seems to be the intention, I guess I just liked the taste I was left with... this feels a bit like drinking orange juice after brushing my teeth xD
I am only about 70 pages into Authority, and well, yeah... Im not hating it, I have seen some people express a real frustration for it, but im also aware that im only at the 70 page mark, and that it apparently stays somewhat dull until the very end when it explodes and gets really good. Nothing so far had really been at all interesting... but it is beautifully written !
The only real questions I would maybe like to see explored, is where the real Biologist ended up, and what the island was all about, but even that im not mad about knowing, I guess everything else im cool with leaving unanswered xD
Atm im leaning toward leaving it for another day, maybe in a few years ill re read Annihilation and then the others - because im not hating Authority, and I have a feeling I would probably love it if I didn't have the lingering taste of having just read the first book for the first time. I think maybe im seeking more of the same tone, like the open awe of wilderness.
I think as well, im just not very interested in Control, and if the main body of the book is about him then yeah...
I feel like maybe atm all I really want is to devour the Wiki so i can get more info on certain things without completely losing the flavor that the first book left in my mind. Like sifting through SCP files.
So, do you think its okay to leave Annihilation as a stand alone, at least for now ? Or am I missing the best the Southern Reach has to offer ? Would it be like stopping LOTR after the fellowship ? (probably a terrible analogy) I read someone say they consider them all one big book.
I wish it were easier to just put down a book your not loving, without feeling as though you are giving up xD

Have symptoms of uti, took a test and it pretty much said I have one. Just wondering where in the Chattanooga or Hixson area I could get antibiotics for it? I'm avoiding my primary care doctor as I'm looking to switch due to personal reasons.
I've only had a UTI once before and I ended up going to the hospital for it (as I was suggested to do) and they fixed me up, but I wish to avoid wasting their time when there's people who would need their care more.
