Belt sander 1 x 30

The company that I work for is pretty big, and they own a bunch of Spartan snakes. They are the most expensive, and most durable, that I've seen. The workhorse machine that we use the most is the 100, with a 13/32 cable.
I hate how heavy it is, and we also have to carry a drum with a 5/8 cable for mainlines, so I got my own Milwaukee machine with a 3/8 x 75 ft cable.
My question is about the heads/blades. My Milwaukee 3/8 cable has some medium heads that do a thorough job cleaning out 2" pipes. But for Spartan's 13/32 cable, you can only get heads that are 1 inch wide. Would you guys consider that to be sufficient for cleaning out 2 inch pipes? I guess Spartan wants you to use a 1/2" cable when you can, and that's not going to happen...

This is the second year I’m coaching my sons 10U team and wanted to get some opinions on 7v7 offense.
Last year we did something like a 1-2-1. 1 at X, 2 on the wings probably 5 yards above GLE, and one up top. This worked reasonable well for them to work the ball around the field. And left the center relatively open for dodging/cuts.
This year I was thinking about trying something more like a 2-2. With two up top and two just above GLE. I feel like this setup might make it easier to begin to introduce more two man game concepts.
Any thoughts about pros and cons between them, or alternatives that might work better?

Hi, I need some guidance on when any branch of law enforcement raids a suspect.
1- What happens if the "alleged" suspect is not at home at the time? They go in, take what they are looking for or think they are looking for? What happens when they take money (nothing illegal to have)? They take DVDs (movies, cartoons, collections, tv series), power banks, etc.) with the excuse to deliver them later or never do it? Moreover, breaking property and throwing clothes or furniture on the floor just for the sake of it?
2- if the "alleged" suspect is or is not present. Would they leave some kind of note or card, honestly saying which specific agency was on the raid? Seriously they are always honest and leave the correct and accurate info? Why wouldn't they leave a note? Including the name of the agents, the name of the specific law enforcement and even a phone number and address? And what if they leave a note with false info? I.e., it was the FBI, but instead they said it was ICE, etc.? What if they leave nothing?
3- What happens when the raid was fabricated? In other words, the whole argument of the reasons for the raid was based on conspiracy information, revenge (some of those agents for years hated the target person for reason X or Y), it was mostly out of curiosity to know what that person had in the house or what the house was like inside, etc.?
4- when the person is in the house and suddenly these law enforcement agents arrive, and:
- even though the person asks them if he/she can see the warrant, they demand to enter without the person seeing it at any time or simply because there is no reason to see it?
- If these agents arrive masked or partially undetectable to avoid being identified? If some of them (even if the person remains peaceful) take the opportunity (in front of their peers or apart) to hit (because they wanted to harm him for a long time) the target person and their peers keep it a secret?
5- those agents can take away the security cameras (and never return them, or even destroy them) that are recording them in real time just to hide their traces and actions? Is that legal, honest and ethical?
6- I read that a person should not react aggressively even if the raid is unlawful, that is, there was never a judge signing the papers for such action. However, even if the raid is illegal (there was never a compelling reason for such a raid in the first place) I have read that if the person resists, then the person can legally be arrested, etc. But if it was not legal and the agents were dishonest and favored the case, why then are they still protected and the innocent victim is punished with self defense? I don't understand that. Why this imbalance in the law?
7- When pets are killed or badly hurt (dogs properly chained) and the action of that raid was simply to harm the person without finding true motives... what happens? Are those dishonest actors impugned? Is there no law to protect these animals? And if they steal (legal) pets like land turtles or other animals that are acquired or allowed by law according to the state?

So, I am writing this post because I don't really have anywhere else to vent about this. Noone in my life knows how bad the problem has been, and the only one with some clue is my mother, who also smokes weed but only 1 joint in the evening. She knows I am trying to quit, and she tries to support me, but she has never been good at being strict. Especially now that I have been out of the house a few years, she doesn't wanna be that nagging person even if I ask her to.
I have always had it pretty easy academically if I am interested in the subject, and I love the study I am doing now. However, that has enabled me to hide my addiction pretty well. I always go to school well dressed, I have a part time job next to it, I get high grades - to everyone else it seems that I have my life in order, but I feel like a fraud every time I leave class to smoke and get baked for a whole evening. I feel like I am lying to my friends by pretending I got it all figured out while at the same time I am struggling so much with this addiction (and in many cases I am lying about what I will be doing that evening). I feel ashamed and guilty that I have not been able kick the habit.
I started smoking weed when I was 18, and I have regularly been smoking 4-5 joints (with tobacco, european style) for a couple of years now, spending about 10-20 euros a day. When I was working full time as a fast food manager , I felt like weed was my only escape of a otherwise pretty depressing life, but now that I am back studying and I have some goals and ambitions I want to reach, I decided I had to quit. One of the problems I have had is that I am Dutch. Weed is "legal" and on my way home from uni I pass by 3 coffeeshops that sell it. In my hometown, each coffeeshop has an elaborate sitting area, but where I live now there were only a few places that have a sitting area.
A few days ago, the last coffeeshop I have been going to basically said you are not meant to sit there for longer than 30 minutes. I was a bit offended, since I had been spending a lot of money there and I found it a bit ridiculous. But somehow, something in my brain clicked, and I suddenly did not want to go there anymore just because of how rude the guy spoke to me. It was a blessing in disguise. Every time before I had to force myself not to smoke, and eventually Id find myself sitting in a coffeeshop again. Now, I feel a bit more confident I am going to make it, because I will not smoke there again.
It also helped that I had to work night shift the last 2 days. Not that that ever stopped me from smoking in the morning/afternoon, but it made it easier because the coffeeshops are not open after I finished work. So now I am on day 3, and I had the whole day off. Instead of smoking, I stayed in bed for a long time, went to exercise, did all my laundry and now I am writing this post as a distraction. It almost feels like cheating that it just suddenly clicked in my brain and I somehow had much less cravings the past 2.5 days, but I don't care if it works it works.
I somehow feel much better this time around , and I don't know why. It feels weird that I am not struggling as much as when I tried to quit before. The past few months I have been trying to quit repeatedly and slowly I have figured out the excuses I make when I do go back to smoke are terrible. Every time I think I don't want to smoke, my brain immediately comes up with 5 reasons to smoke, and every time I do, I figured out I was lying to myself. Now, I don't know how I will feel once a more challenging day comes along, but I know that I am better prepared now for those excuses.
To close off, I am not sure the point of my post besides having no-one else to talk with about this stuff, and to put my intention of quitting into writing. And also to distract myself a little bit from the cravings. (Theyre less than before but obviously still there) Guess thats what this sub is for, haha. Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Hi,
I'm interested in becoming a firefighter in or near Chicago. I currently have no relevant training, and from what I've seen most local departments require an EMT-P license and that you be under 34 years old at date of hire. CFD does not, but they also apparently only take applications every 5-10 years, just did last year, and it's a total crapshoot. I'm nearing 31, and see that acquiring an EMT-P is over a year long process, so I need to get started ASAP.
As far as I understand, the basic flow is getting your EMT-B, getting 6+ months of relevant work experience, and then entering an EMT-P program.
For getting my EMT-B - I currently live in Lincoln Park in Chicago, it seems Malcolm X College's Summer session program is likely my best bet? A little over $1,000, would have me completing the program at the end of July. I have an associate's degree already, so I don't believe I'd get any help from FAFSA, but I'd love to be corrected on this or pointed in the direction of any other resources to loweeliminate that cost.
There are also some educational institute programs in the suburbs, which would be difficult for me as I don't have a car. I bike everywhere (did through the winter, not worried about weather) or take public transit if absolutely necessary.
On the other hand, I see that Superior offers an 18 week EMT-B course starting April 17th, in the same general area as Malcolm X College. That would have me completing the course in mid-August, so also comparable. The downside there is that the course is free so long as you work for them full-time for 12 months after completing the program. Given from what I've seen most EMT-P programs are looking for 6 months of work experience, and I want to get through that ASAP, that's a poor tradeoff, and I also can't find any information on what it costs to just pay for the course rather than fulfill the commitment. Lots of comments on other threads about the instruction being of poor quality compared to the educational institute courses as well.
This is where I feel like I know less. It seems like, assuming I do my own courses, once I complete the EMT-B certification, I have some options in terms of work. What considerations do I need to keep in mind here if I want to become a firefighter? I see a lot of talk about IFT, 911, and ER tech. It sounds like 911 response on an ambulance would be most relevant for me, right? And Medex and Buds are the options there? I also saw some discussion on ER tech jobs often leading to your employer paying for your EMT-P program though - what do I need to know about this possibility? While keeping in mind that the ultimate goal of all of this is to become a firefighter, not to be a career EMT or hospital employee. This is all a means to an end.
I suppose I should put in a few other bits of relevant information that might help anyone reading give me better answers more aligned with my situation. I currently have a job with a very flexible schedule that pays a few $/hr more than what I see for EMS. I can schedule it around classes. So I don't absolutely need to do something like the Superior program to keep my bills paid as I go through training. I am in excellent physical shape, I am disciplined, and I am a fast learner, so I'm not worried about being overwhelmed by anything, I just want the most efficient path to completing my EMT-P and becoming a firefighter in the Chicago area.
And I am very much open to learning about any other alternate paths worth considering - I've seen people go out of state for accelerated programs and then apply for reciprocity in their state, and some interesting things about doing volunteer firefighting to get through these programs or hired through alternate means in an accelerated manner. I just don't know much about these options, if they exist for me, or where to start on finding more information.
I am trying to do my own research here and not ask to be spoonfed, but I don't know what I don't know, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
