Longines Adds To The Spirit Collection With The New Flyback Chronograph
/ Longines’ Spirit line has been a reliable source of handsome and heritage-inspired pilot's watches. New to the line is today's Flyback Chronograph, an evolution of the chrono released in 2020. The watch is still 42mm with large Arabic numerals and 100m of water resistance but from there everything changes. The most obvious update is the flyback functionality which allows the user to instantly reset the chronograph seconds hand to zero, streamlining the stop, start, reset function of a regular chronograph.
The new Flyback Chronograph loses a subdial and date from the non-flyback model. There's a bidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert and the watch comes in either a blue or black sunray dial. The Super-LumiNova gives a nice lume on the numerals on both the dial and bezel. Strap options include brown leather, blue fabric, and beige NATO or a stainless steel bracelet. Inside there's the new COSC-certified L791.4 movement (with silicon balance spring) which is on full display thanks to the transparent sapphire caseback.
Pricing is actually really great for all the functionalities is gives - $4,450. If they could just remove the five star review they gave themselves on the dial, this would be a top 10 watch to have.
Breitling's Top Time Classic Cars Collection Goes In-House And Adds A Thunderbird
/ Collaborations between watch brands and car makers often end up on the wrong side of tacky. Aston Martin and Bentley make gorgeous cars but most of the watches they lent their name to were horrible. Do we even have to mention what Ferrari did with Hublot? However, every now and again we get a collaboration that’s not only perfect, but could be one of the best watches in the brand’s lineup.
And that’s exactly the case with the Breitling Top Time Classic Cars Editions. In 2021 the brand unveiled three new Top Time models connected to American sports cars from the ’60s - the Corvette, Cobra and Mustang. The watches had stood a huge chance of becoming horrible homages, but ended up being colorful chronos with bold design and a hit for the company.
Now, 18 months later, Breitling announces they are adding a new model inspired by the Ford Thunderbird and all four models of the Top Time Classic Cars Editions are getting their in-house chronograph movement.
Each of the available colorways represents a specific link to one of four well-known classic cars – the Chevrolet Corvette (red), the Ford Thunderbird (white), the Shelby Cobra (blue), and the Ford Mustang (green). These new models are 41mm wide (down from 42mm) and all four are fitted with a Breitling B01 automatic chronograph movement. All four don’t have a date and the Mustang, Corvette, and Thunderbird models all have three subdials providing a 12-hour maximum measure and 1/4th of a second resolution. The Shelby Cobra model uses two subdials for the chronograph and has a maximum measure of 30 minutes.
Pricing starts at $8,000 on a leather strap or $8,440 on a steel mesh bracelet. Love it!

Breitling Introduces Six New Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Models
/ The Breitling Premier Chronograph line gets a refresh in a 42mm, B01-powered form. This is a historically important collection to Breitling as it represents the shift the brand made in the 1940s from core utilitarian tool-watches to something with a bit more panache. In 2021, the brand released the 40mm Breitling Premier Heritage Chrono, a 40mm model which directly played on the, well, heritage of the model range. That watch was powered by the brand's B09 movement.
Now, for 2023 there are updates to the model. At a quick glance, the six new Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 watches almost seem like models that should already exist somewhere in the brand’s catalog. The new stainless steel watches now feature applied Arabic numerals instead of baton markers, syringe-style hands, a new sub-register layout, and new dial text that reads "Chronograph Premier," instead of "Chronometer Premier." This model also gets the in-house B01 chronograph movement, which has COSC certification.
The Premier premieres today with a bracelet and a new set of dial colors. In all, there are five new dial options of black, blue, salmon, green, or cream. There is even an 18k red gold model, also on a strap or bracelet. The stainless steel models will cost $9,100 on the strap and $9,500 on a bracelet. The 18k gold model will cost $20,200 on the strap and $39,700 on a bracelet.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round Is A Streamlined Take On Its Classic Watch
/ I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Ressence is my favorite watchmaker and the oil-filled Type 3 is my grail. So know they can do nothing wrong in my book. Of course I love their update of the Type 1 model with the new essential Round version.
The Type 1 is basically the backbone of the collection, an evolution of the Zero Series which introduced their unique way of displaying time using gears and discs. We’ve seen gradual evolutions, first by removing the crown, then by changing the case design. First came the Type 1 Square, and then the Type 1 Slim.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round, this is nothing more than a modernized take on the brand’s signature watch, slightly redesigned to remain coherent with other creations currently available. The grade 5 titanium case measures 42.7mm in diameter, with a compact 11mm height. Some work has been done to the dial too, but not so much about the emblematic display. Available in a classic black edition too, it’s mostly the circular brushed blue model that is there to catch the attention. The discs have now a sunray-brushed surface, adding depth to the whole assembly, while the dial has been graphically simplified with indexes every 10 minutes and a weekday dial that subtly unites the 2 non-working days of the week with a touch of colour. Also, the seconds and weekdays hands are larger for improved reading.
The Ressence TYPE 1° Round will be available worldwide in two finishes – Black and Night Blue – from June 2023 as part of the permanent collection, and priced at CHF 16,800 (excl. taxes).
For The First Time, The MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual Is Now In Steel With A Salmon Dial
/ Say what you will, but MB&F makes some very interesting watches. While their Horological Machines line might be a bit out there, the Legacy Machine line, while still not a practical daily beater, is an acceptable exploration of what’s possible in horology.
And since its launch in 2015, MB&F's Legacy Machine (LM) Perpetual has come in a lot of metals. red gold, platinum, white gold, titanium, yellow gold, and palladium... But there’s one metal they never made - steel. That’s why they announced today that they are launching the LM Perpetual in stainless steel, with a tasty salmon dial to boot.
Everything else remains pretty much the same - the fully integrated 581-component caliber, the 44mm wide and 17.5mm thick case… The price also remains eye-watering at $180,000. Good news for everyone who can afford it, it won’t be a limited edition.

After eight years, the inaugural Ferdinand Berthoud calibre FB-T.FC that debuted in the FB1 has reached the end of the road. When the FB1 was launched in 2015, it represented one of the most earnest exercises in recreating a marine chronometer for the wrist. The calibre FB-T.FC is an appealingly anachronistic, tourbillon movement with a pillar construction, Maltese cross stopwork and a chain-and-fusée mechanism. But more than a portable museum of 18th century technical solutions, it was also finished to a remarkable degree. Today, the brand is giving a curtain call to the calibre FB-T.FC with the Chronomètre FB 2T.

General question: after sending it as first card, when could it be a good idea to be sending it again?
Specific (long) question: So Lakota early eco suck balls, and I'm totally fine with that so ppl will stop saying they are cheap lame af and having them constantly nerfed. I mean they are absolutely right, but shitty startup is the price I'm more than willing to pay for the pleasure of raiding your finely-though boom build down to the dust. (On a more serious note, I only started using Lakota when I found out they were finally been balanced; it was seriously too easy to play before, and I'm happy they're not a lamer civ anymore).
Now if I want to stay in age 2 (which I want to abuse the fact that their units are as strong as regular age 3 units, the only other civ that goes near is China and theirs have less durability anyway, while Haud is basically "native russians") I got to make a commitment and that means setting up a proper eco in age 2, which is VERY hard given how the faction has been heavily nerfed; no vill shipments in age 2, that's all I'm going to say.
So I 'm thinking of creative ways to get myself comfortable in age 2 for a sustained, extremely lame and endless raiding (on the receiving part) . I've been experimenting many things; aging up with few villagers and shipping Medicine as soon as I hit age 2 works pretty fine, as that's gonna be a long term compound bonus not to be scoffed at. Both cheaper AND faster training for vills is quite outstanding.
I could try vill booming by shipping 4 healers (and then maybe even 2 healers) and fertility boom right away in early age 2, abusing the lack of need for housing. Haven't tried it yet but sounds fun, although slow and not apt for rushing. I could also do full greed and both send Medicine and the Healers, and see how long it takes to pick up.
Then to be faster there's crate spamming. I know that crates are the way to go to keep your eco afloat during raids, but it's like public debt, you can pay shit with it until money runs out or something. That's what I've learned at the economy class anyway. That could only work for an all-out rush, methinks. But maybe I 'm completely wrong on that and an all-our rush is a great way to get an early economic edge... By just deleting your opponent's eco 🤣
So I was looking for more sustainable ways to develop an early eco that could push the civ forward towards the mid-game. This is just the kind of nifty, intellectually-stimulating challenges for which I like this game, even when they nerf things below the ground, and actually even more so in that case. When they nerf your civ instead of complaining go out and look for new ways to do stuff, or just change strat. That's what this kind of game is all about.
So back on topic. I noticed that in midgame for some reason eco gets VERY good, but it all depends on the availability of vills I was able to train until that point; ofc lacking the age 2 vills card it's really hard to bootstrap in the first place. Making extra vills with fertility dance is very slow and risky at this point of the game, while FF and even worse semi FF burns many resources (and time) but you get to send the 8 vills card, so that is the standard solution I guess; they set up the civ so that you are very much incentivized to FF, to avert early age 2 laming. Which all but motivates me more to try and make it viable anyway.
So last but not least, there's the infinite 2 vill shipment. I've never seen how it is used beyond the first shipment so I ask, is there a civ that benefit from sending it multiple times? In which specific occasions?

So I have this story I'm writing that includes the SU universe but this is WAYYYYY before any of the crystal gems. Basically, there were WAY more Diamonds than the 4 today. But one day, the white diamond decided to go rogue because she saw how 'imperfect' things were on Homeworld. She gathered two diamonds she thought were fit to fight alongside her, Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond. Blue had grown fond of a younger, smaller diamond, Pink. Blue convinced Yellow and White to allow Pink to fight with them. The four fought for years and eventually succeeded. Pink felt pity and she expressed this to White numerous times, she was ignored but White had grown to love her as well so she was never lashed out at. However, White Diamond allowed Pink to bubble all the Diamond gems instead of shattering them. White decided to bubble their pearls too. As her first order of business, White then wanted to plant gems on other worlds too, she wanted an army. After a clumsy amethyst guard popped a bubble and let out Green Diamond, White shattered all the diamonds without the knowledge of Pink. When the cluster was made, some of the diamonds were put inside. This is one of the reasons that the cluster was so strong. It was also one reason that the cluster listened to Steven, he had Pink's gem and Pink took pity on the diamonds instead of shattering them. Because the war between the diamonds happened so long ago and Pink/Rose was ashamed of it, even Pearl never found out; it was completely erased from gem history. At least, it was until Purple Diamond's pearl came out of hiding. She had been hiding for hundreds of thousands of years, worried she'd be found and shattered like her dear diamond was. Much like Pink and her pearl, they had a more playful relationship rather than a boss/employee one. She meets the crystal gems one day and explains to Pearl what happened. Pearl being both excited that she got to write down a missing part of history and Steven being upset because of all the innocent diamonds being shattered.

Hi! Have a problem regarding bahay hehehe. 2 yrs married and with almost 1 yr old daughter, and 1 aspin dog.
2 yrs na kaming nagrrent dito sa house ng kamag-anak. Palagi lang kami na sa room kasi yung aso namin, malakas magshed ng balahibo. So na sa 1st floor lang yung dog and hindi kami makatambay kasi may baby kami. Iniiwasan namin na makalanghap ng balahibo. Sa 3rd floor pa tumatae/umiihi. So sa kada floor may balahibo talaga sya haha pero di naman yung parang golden retriever kung maglagas. Saks lang. Di mo lang ipapagapang anak mo sa sahig kasi may balahibo nga.
The owner offered us to rent her other property. Bungalow, 4 bedrooms and 1 maids quarter. Malaki yung property around 350 to 400 sqm yung land area. Ngayon, yung nirerent namin is 3 floors with 3 bedrooms and 1 maids quarter, around 210 floor area, 70 land area.
Now ang problem namin is yung bungalow house, left and right side niya ay open lot. Yung right side na lot wala kaming problem dahil may gumagamit/nagbabantay. However, yung left side na lot, pinabayaan ng owner. May mga maliliit na ahas. Minsan nagpupunta yung snakes doon sa kanal sa gilid ng bahay. Siguro in the past 5 months, parang twice lang naman nakita pumunta sa may paligid ng bahay. Di naman nakakapasok ng bahay.
Itong nirerent na house namin is balak gawing office nung may-ari. Though, office naman na nya talaga to before.
Iniisip namin if itutuloy ba namin lumipat kasi may baby kami and feeling namin hindi secured yung bungalow na bahay. Na sa same village naman yung bahay, magkaibang phase lang. Magsshell out din kami ng around 200k para iparenovate yung cr and kitchen kasi medyo madilim. Onga pala, madilim din yung paligid ng bahay kapag gabi since walang bahay sa magkabilaang side.
May isa pa kaming option, which is lumipat sa katabing bahay ng current na nirerent namin (same size lang ng ngayong tinitirhan namin and na sa iisang townhouse lang). Pero, since may aso kami ganun ulit situation.
Yung bungalow house kasi parang ang ganda. Madaming pwedeng magawa tapos maluwag para lagyan ng play area ng dog namin and anak ko. May sarili na ring room yung aso. Yun nga lang, yung danger na may ahas sa katabing lote.
Iniisip ko nga lasunin na lang yung lupa sa katabing lote para mawalan ng bahay yung mga ahas pero di ko alam din naman kung papaano hehehe.

I’m losing weight and while I have some stuff from years past that I kept from past Springs/Summer, I figured I may as well branch out from all the skinny jeans - but I’m so confused about what I’m wearing on top in 74 degree weather (I feel like every photo I see someone is wearing a sweater or a coat or else they’re in a crop top.) Most of my old tops were pretty baggy, boho, and kind of tunic style because I was trying to do the “tight on the bottom, baggy on top” thing so that would look weird and overly baggy.
