Hi, I am pretty new to the nomachine, and I was setting up a remote control on the Intel NUC (BNUC11TNHV50000).
NUC runs debian 11, up to date, 5.10 kernel.
I faced the "black screen upon connection" problem when connected to NUC in headless mode. I found the article how to solve it: https://kb.nomachine.com/AR03P00973
First try was with X virtual framebuffer. Picture was not really sharp and clear.
Second try was with Xorg dummy driver. I used this article for it: http://cosmolinux.no-ip.org/raconetlinux2/dummy_radeon_nvidia.html
Picture is fine, but it is pretty slow response. When I drag window i see artifacts, it lagging.
Could somebody tell, is there any chance to get nomachine produce picture like on real monitor, without lags?
I have tested my network with iperf3 and it shows me ~950Mbt/sec (direct ethernet connection). So network cannot be a problem. NUC has 64GB Ram, NVME drive, and 4GHz CPU core i5.
The one thing I am assuming right now is the driver defined in xorg.conf. According to the article it should be Driver "dummy", and not "intel".
Currently I am thinking that dummy driver does not provide any graphical acceleration, and that is the reason of lags. I have Iris Xe Graphics, yes, it is low end, but it should be able to handle this kind of tasks. As for now it looks like nomachine server does not use any acceleration. (By the way, how can I check that? )

So the question is: did anybody had a setup where remote view works the same as monitor? no lags, no glitches, the native experience. I am it is not possible even in theory?

I'm between the NZXT H1 and the revolt 3 since they're on sale and have bottom facing I/O so i can try to do a no cable look on my desk setup. I've supplied builds for both as well as if i grabbed a cpu combo today. I'm very tempted to upgrade cpu since I need a new motherboard anyways and I'll be near a microcenter today. Also no am4 mini itx board will support the front i/o usb c port for the h1. Is the 6600xt worth the $40 premium, or could I save it and get a 6600, and upgrade the gpu again later with my monitor choice?

Hey all,
Not sure this is the right sub here for this. Basically I saw something at work and I want to be able to replicate it for a couple things at home.
At work we use devices called birddogs which convert HDMI to NDI or vice versa. In the birddog control page you are able to set a name for the birddog that makes it reachable on the network using http://.local instead of http://
These birddogs are able to change names or IPs and even go to different subnets and still have http://.local still work, so I don't believe it is something that company IT has setup.
I have a couple of services I would love to setup similar to this. For the sake of argument as well, lets assume I don't have access to a pihole instance or other selfhosted DNS server that I could create entries for properly. I'm looking for something I can setup and reach on the network in a similar fashion.
I've been looking through many posts about FQDN, DNS, and the like and am either just not getting it, very plausible, or just not googling the right stuff, equally as likely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The reason I've setup this Reddit is to raise awareness on inaccessible housing. As you may not know, I've got Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy so it's increasingly difficult to come across an accessible home. I hope that by writing about the issues I've faced and the experiences I've had when looking for an accessible home, I can bring some focus on to how inaccessible housing currently is.
Please do note that I'm from the United Kingdom, where only 9% of housing is appropriately accessible. I don't know how this may be reflected to the rest of the globe.

So I've got three monitors, all Dahua cameras, set up as watch only with onvif event recording. A pretty basic setup. Once a day or so, they'll just... stop recording. Disabling the monitor and re-enabling it in Shinobi will make it start working again, as will restarting Shinobi.
I enabled sql logging for the monitors to see if I could catch some sort of error, but there's nothing. Just the usual messages I always get that look like " changing to 4661164261. This may result in incorrect timestamps in the output file. "
This didn't start happening an update that came out sometime around January, I'm sorry I'm not sure exactly what version it started happening on. Has anyone else had this issue by chance?

install Proxmox VE it so easy... well not for me. I am attempting to install on my older PC. this was ruining windows 11 but i kept getting an error. so i installed Ubuntu just to see if i would have ant issues. i was able to install now issues but when i try to install Proxmox 7.3 or 7.4 i run in to the issues below. all the tutorials i have see the before I even get to the EULA.
end result i am looking for Proxmox with TrueNAS or similar, DockePortainer, PiHole, Wireguard, parsec, and game server like minecraft and Satisfactory and maybe a few VMs

Hi! I have been too long, trying to set my computer to package Unreal Engine to Oculus.
When I run the script SetupAndroid.bat
It displays many of these Warnings:

I am a Juniper ultra newbie. I wanted to dip my toes in the waters of doing things with VLANs and managed switches. I bought a used EX4200-48T from a IT surplus hardware place.
I would like to use it to replace some of the household network gear I have in my basement. I have a little bit of Ubiquiti APs and cameras that I would love to use on the 8 POE ports on the switch.
The POE ports appear to be configured as they should:

If I connect any POE device to it they do not get any power. If I connect non-POE devices like a laptop to them they work as normal LAN ports, which is what I expected.
I've tried the various setup commands and still nothing. I do not know if it is just thet the Ubiquiti APs and cameras just don't support the style of POE that the EX4200 is using or if something is wrong with the switch.

Also the power supply is reporting AC and DC as "OK".
Even if I can't use the POE it won't be a huge deal as that was more of a nice to have. If there is anything I can do to get it working though I would love to try.

i only get the 502 error code, if i redirect this port to other port i can parcialy use the system, but some features get buggy, like create a new server or change the user password, it says into the console that i cannot acces to that port due to security reasons
other thing i cannot acces is the wings, even with the ports not been redirected internally and the docker network and deploy settings been like this:

To say the “Something” Comaneci gang (Antonio Honda & Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara) are strange is a bit of an understatement. These two are entirely unpredictable, bringing absurd comedy and slapstick violence to each of their matches (with the occasional shockingly clean tag technique). It helps that when Anton isn’t singing (or hitting you with any prop he can find) he’s got solid fundamentals and a ton of classic wrestling techniques. Otoki on the other hand is one of the most straightforward characters in the promotion: a merciless striker with a knack for throws. Her brutality is increased dramatically when paired with Anton, since they’re willing to flat out break the rules. She also loves COMANECI! Rookie Powerhouse Miya Yotsuba has been turned to the Darkness by them in the past. The power focused, goblin trained “Ichigaya’s Lucky Charm” is usually a crowd favorite, but will she have fallen back into the Comaneci Gang’s ways? What schemes are these odd villains up to? How will the Strangers handle fighting Monsters? This one is gonna get weird.
Sayaka Obihiro is a joy to watch in ChocoPro, with her deep sense of humor and lightning quick striking & pinning techniques...but she is a bit...different...when she teams with Monsters. After a bizarre series of events, Obi has aligned with what she fought against (for ten years)! Normally, when Obi isn't chopping the life out of someone so hard that it sounds like a car door slamming, she is pulling off some of the best feats of nimbleness you've ever seen. The insanely charismatic full time chef has got a great set of flame gear and an incredibly intense style. Even if she’s gone feral, you'll find yourself enchanted by her brash nature and wild antics! Strange and occult happenings are somewhat common in Ichigaya, and the mysterious organization known as UMA features many monsters that just so happen to wrestle! Obi has brought with her the fierce beast Tiger Jeet Shinjuku! Much like Kappa Kozo, this unknown creature is unpredictable and deadly! The jungle cat humanoid was known for some of the best gifs in Season 10. Watch out for those claws! Be prepared for [REDACTED by order of UMA]. Monsters from across the world are attracted to ChocoPro due to their influence...(You should see what is happening over at SETUP!) Speaking of which, a cold wind brings a shadow over Ichigaya once again! Hailing from Parts Unknown and trained at the Nightmare Factory (which makes even more sense given that sinister look!), kojio’s frightening presence made him fit right in with the other Monsters of UMA. With brawling brutality, vicious submissions, and an absolutely wicked set of gear that makes him look like a character straight from a graphic novel, kojio scares his opponents and impresses the audience with his relentless nature and bone chilling aura. That laugh is something else! This unstoppable monster has been a wonderful addition to Ichigaya, but how long will he accept Obi taking pinfalls? I wouldn’t want to upset him!

The Calamari Drunken Kings (Chris Brookes & Masa Takanashi) have been untouchable as the Asia Dream Tag Champs. These two demolished teams across the globe, bringing further glory to the purple belts in their own corrupted version of “Belt Days”. Brookes wields a grim technical style and monstrous presence that demoralizes his opponents long before he’s got them tapping out. His incredible reach and explosive movements make him a major threat at all times. Chrissy B’s partner is just as dangerous though...beware the belt collecting Counter-Fighter! Masa’s laid back personality and reversal style might make him seem overly passive, but the Drunken Monkey can show seamless aggression when he needs to. His crisp technique and general fluidity pair well with the Tsundere Submission Specialist’s sadistic skill set. While this isn’t a bout for the titles, they will be looking to once again put down Chie Koishikawa...but how can they be fighting Warm Caterpillars? Mei is in America! Regardless, CDK will be more than happy to remind them of the Brutality of Reality.

This charisma volcano of cheerful goblins will evoke a lot of different emotions out of you, but you’ll definitely want to see more. Someone that calls themselves the Apple Girl ”May Suruga” (Ken Ohka) will be providing surprising agility and power with the Aerial Striking & Reversals of the girl with “Too Much Energy”. While this May might be a bit different than you are used to, the crowd (and the online audience) always gets behind the Lover of Chocolate. This Doppelganger has even been acknowledged by the real thing! May will be paired with Mei’s frequent friend and rival this time. Chie Koishikawa is the “Ace of the Fourth Generation”, known for Extreme Speed and Extreme Charisma. With the her increasing grasp of counters, high flying strikes, that nasty Stretch Muffler, and even her flash pin “Energy Hold”, Chie will hold up her end of the team. But how will these two get along? Will Chie even realize that isn’t Mei? Can Ichigaya contain this amount of chaotic energy and fighting spirit?

“What is this?”

ChocoPro is a free online promotion run by AEW's Emi Sakura, that takes place in the legendary Ichigaya Chocolate Square! It features a steady pace of live Episode releases, fan interaction, season long story arcs, and much more! A place where the turnbuckles are replaced with 14th floor windows, the ropes are often replaced with fans, unforgiving walls provide creative avenues for skills otherwise unthinkable, and you can take solace in knowing that the referees usually do nothing. While it might be a shocking change at first, the intensity and storytelling will leave you wanting more.

“Why are they fighting in ____?”

Short answer is that it is a cost effective, unique venue with a better availability schedule and allows the roster access for training. Emi Sakura has been using this place for a long time, and you might be surprised at some of the names that have used it (even outside of ChocoPro!). There are a few in-ring Episodes and Gatoh Move has in ring shows with crowds on the YouTube channel. Think of it like the Hart Dungeon but as a promotion, if that helps!

”What are the rules?”

While special match stipulations will usually be explained before the respective matches, the general rules of ChocoPro are simple. Pins only count on the Chocolate Mat and are not broken by the edge or Wall. Submissions usually only count on the Chocolate Mat, and ARE broken by reaching the edge or wall (sometimes ceiling...). Double pins and Double submissions are legal (and encouraged) in ChocoPro Tag matches, meaning cohesive teams will always have the advantage! Count Outs only exist if specified, since many matches stray from the comfort of the Chocolate Square into the streets (and the rest of the building itself!) There is a Time Limit for each bout (based on card placement and importance) and the Referee has discretion (even if they tend to do nothing most of the time!). Every Ref is different, some have different levels of bias and speed.

“How can I support them?”

This is a wrestling forum, and I'm trying to broaden the horizons of others! There is a lot of good wrestling out there...Plus growing the fan base means more people for me to joke around with! I honestly do believe this is what a lot of fans are looking for, even if it is too different for some! But different tastes are good. Variety is the spice of life. This is a labor of love (it really doesn't take that long) considering how much work they do to put on so many shows...for free!

Season Tracker: We're 2/18 into Season 18! (Each Season is usually around 18 episodes)

I have my own little git server which serves its repositories via http/https using apache2 as the web-server. My setup for authorization right now looks like this:

So this basically means everyone can read every repo without authentication, but people who want to push have to be authorized, but then can push into every repo.
I want to be able to give repository-specific permissions. For reading and writing.

...which is almost what I want, but as far as I understand it, it unfortunately doesn't allow to open repositories for the world (reading without any authentication)
